Process command failed (90881) cannot open the Document, Document already open?

InDesign 2014 CC

I was wondering if anyone can help with this?

Users of the .indd as a template file, which is stored on a network share.

However users now report that the file will not allow more than one user to have it open? .. . Only the first user can load the file.

Is there is a preference setting for the file to be shared (read-only)... as users have mentioned that it was like before?

What I ended up doing restricted the network folder and share... for example authenticated users have read permission and only some selected users have permission to modify. Seemed work for users, who are now happy.

I also noticed that the users are opened the file as usual, maybe they should have been select the copy option? .. who knows... .but anyway workaround file sharing works fine.

  • CS6 flash cannot save the document

    I post a new discussion of that since I couldn't find an answer for this in a Windows computer. I use Windows 8.1 and Flash CS6 using creative Application of cloud.

    Whenever I try to save a FLA document, it gives an error saying it "cannot save the document as [name of file] try to change the file location or file name.

    I do not work on a network, but have been save the file to my desktop and it back to my network file when I am done Edit. But now its happening even with the local files on my desk. Did anyone else encounter this problem or found a fix?

    We did a lot of troubleshooting for this issue, and WITHOUT help from Adobe, which support so that never. They just repeat what they don't support networks and advise to do not open or modify files on a network because he may / will cause corrupted files and not allow you to save. Try to save the file to a local drive or a flash drive and work on the project from there. So far, it is the only work around that we found for this but it isn't bulletproof. We have still a few users who are breaking in flash but not as often. In addition, make sure that there are no updates waiting for Flash if it is updated to Flash and reboot. Hope that helps.     Last week I printed several documents from PDF files and print documents.  Once printing has been completed, an error message would be displayed on my laptop that the printer cannot print the document.  I've ignored the warnings and continued, and then the printer would print the document again.  I found that if I clicked on the error message, printing in double stop.

    Since then, whenever I don't print from any program (MS Office, Firefox, Chrome, IE, etc), I still get the same message if the end of the print document.

    Just a nuisance, but if I forgot to point out the error, the doc print again without error message after the second printiing...

    I noticed that the queue, regardless of the size of the document, always freezes on the last page to print before closing.

    I turned and turn it back on and reset the connection to a static IP address for the printer wireless...

    This sounds like a permissions Windows 8.1 user problem. I have installed Lightning in TB on Windows XP, 7 and various flavors of Linux with no problems at all. I do not use Windows 8.
