Product key taken

I questioned online in a forum (not this one) for my product key and given this - but now realize that allows someone to use my key for their own pc (I think?). Can I cancel this key somehow and get a new one? Don't think I was naïve...

If someone uses it, and you can not turn on, try this:

My product key was taken out of my turn to my children and I can't reactivate my windows vista is there a way to recover my product key?

    original title: product key

    Hello

As you have lost the product key of the Tower, it is a preinstalled operating system and you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer.

They give you a different product key.

What you can do now is ask them to send you a set of recovery disc for the computer model reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.

Also while you are in contact with them, if you never receviced a reinstall to purchase drive, ask them how to make the recovery discs to do the same thing, if you still have access to the recovery partition.

None of these methods of resettlement requires normally allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

  • Re: Different Windows 7 another pro product key then press the down key

    Hi all

    Why is this?
Different product under Windows 7 pro key other then the button on the bottom of the laptop.

I used 2 different tools to recover my product key Windows 7 Pro.
I have reinstalled this once using a defined recovery DVDs. Using 2 or 3 discs, but I do not remember that I had to enter the key when I reinstalled.

I used nirsoft ProduKey. Can someone there check pls?
    Mine is a 64-bit system.
One of my friends bought a laptop with a windows system 7 at home, but the office went to black. I told her check the product key, if it is the same as the bottom of her dressing room, then maybe the seller or someone else has used its product key on another system and Microsoft has taken this key on a blacklist. I don't know, just a possibility.

I tried to check mine, but it shows me a different key. Checked with 2 tools.

    Thank you

    Hello

Laptop Toshiba computers are preinstalled with an image of Toshiba. This isn't a single Windows operating system but a pilot cotaning package, tools and additional software.
Of my knowledge, the Toshiba preinstalled image is already activated by the factory.
The same image is used for the entire series laptop and I think that's the reason why the product key of Windows 7 at the bottom of the device is different from the key used in the image.

  • HP 14-r206nv: Windows activation rejects laptop product key after replacing hard drive

    Hello.

The hard drive of my laptop not then the computer was sent to the official service (first back to the store where I bought as it is still under warranty). Today, that she came to me with a new hard drive but with no OS installed, so I tried to install it on my own as I am a student in computer engineering.

I know that in windows preinstalled computers laptops like mine is the product key is stored in the bios I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 64bits (non-professional because I know that you need to install the exact same version). But the problem is that now, windows can not be activated. Activation in internet reports"Error Code: 0xC004C003. "Error description: the activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked '.

So I tried to do an activation phone but microsoft support, they responded that it is not a valid product key and that I should get in touch with the manufacturer! What's wrong?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on activation problems and wanted to help.

Sorry, but that's just one buy volunteers self-help personal forum and we cannot do anything about the problem of activation of here.

As I see it, you have two options (1) of the store and the Support of HP (2).

About the store, they SHOULD have returned the laptop you fully functional.  So if it was MY PC, I would go assault store and REQUEST that they we're right.  You've taken or sent to them to be fixed, not to give cost you a virgin machine!

Regarding technical Support HP, as this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

  • Xbox LIVE Update, Public Beta Dashboard - missing product key

I am registered for the Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta Dashboard. The system crashed when you browse for a product key. I tried to return to this screen since then and I am told that no keys exist. How can I get my code/key or a new one?

    Taken from this forum xbox

    "Hello,

    You haven't missed your chance.

Due to the extreme popularity of the Xbox Dashboard Beta 2 registration, we are delaying delivery of registration keys once a user signed up for the beta program. This will ensure that the web site can handle the load of user sign ups, then we can issue tokens for 5 x 5 later once the volume of the site returns to normal.

Major Nelson said that the key must be available to pick up some time during the week. Please be patient.

Your product key must have been sent to you - if it has been taken in the anti-spam or lost otherwaise filters, open a session on your MS STore account with the same LiveID you bought the copy with - your key should be there.

  • Windows product keys

    Hello.

We used to install the SSD drives in HP-computers and use a Windows 7 OEM media to get a new installation of Windows, because the recovery DVD does not work. Usually associated with the different sizes from the on-board hard drive. Computers have come with 500 GB of HARD drive regularly, but when I installed an SSD-120 GB drive, the arrested recovery discs because it could not create partitions etc.

We can activate with the key OEM stickers on computers.

Now, I have a computer of Windows 8, which has downgraded to Windows 7 HP. The computer has only a Windows 8 pro on that sticker, but none touch. Then when I used the OEM media, as usual, I can't retrieve the product key. This applies to Windows 7 and Windows 8. How can I get taken to a product key is my case?

HP Support phone says "call Microsoft", but I suspect that Microsoft will say 'call HP '.

    What about the bet

    His

Like the post I mentioned it for the exact same HP Compaq Elite 8300 Professional computer, you should have also received Windows 7 computers with recovery disks. Because they are the same computers, the process listed in the other post should work perfectly for your problem.

Be sure to run ABR "backup" on several computers and compare the keys... they should all be the same. Make sure that you save the certificate and key in multiple locations. Then run "RWEverything" to determine the version of the OA/SLP/SLIC of the computer is BIOS. If SLIC is v2.1, you're good to go. Make a new copy of Windows 7, the same version that was installed at the factory (if the computer comes with Windows 7 Pro, you must use Win 7 Pro for this to work), and run ABR 'restore' to install the key and cert. Then, download and install the drivers.

  • INVALID product key code

We had our son cleaned computer and Windows Vista Home Premium reinstalled. He had been use it then all of a sudden he asked the product key code. We walked into what was at the rear of his computer and it is still saying that it is not valid. We tried several times.

Have you done the re-setup, or have you taken it to someone as a computer repair shop?  If someone else did it, restarted the computer to that person and ask them to remedy this by providing a product key valid for the version of Vista that they installed. Boulder computer Maven

  • Product key for Windows 10 is not authentic

    * Original title: windows 7 ultimate

I have a product key and the version is authentic. This os has worked flawlessly until the recent updates have been installed. Now I'm said that it is not genuine and will not authenticate. Is it just chose him the method of forcing people to use windows 10?

    Thomas,

It is not a method to force you to 10 Windows.  But to say that is rather requires data "MGA results."

Download & run the MGA tool.  When the results appear, click on the continue button & it turns into a key copy after a short break.  Click copy [ignore the error message that is displayed].  Paste the results directly in Notepad or another & save them to ensure that you can not lose the information.

    • Then go back on this forum & click change under your question
    • Change the title of the question - add no real message, MGA posted results to get your issue noticed by the people with the skills to diagnose results
    • Then paste the results in your question
    • Change the question to download, install & activate category using the drop-down lists under the box of your issue description [text]

Add a brief history of the computer & operating system.  To avoid too much back & episodic, you must include this information in your question:

    1. The brand and model of the computer
    2. When & where you bought: new & directly from the computer manufacturer, new & from a manufacturer of small scale computer, pre-owned, refurbished,...
    3. What OS was already preinstalled when you bought it
    4. What further facilities of the BONE [replacements & upgrades] have you done since
    5. Where you bought your OS [replacements & updates] facilities
    6. What type of license [OEM / System Builder or retail] you believe that the pre-installed OS & the following facilities OS [replacements & updates]
    7. What, if any, actions that you have taken to activate in the past to achieve or restore activation
    8. What [s] certificate of authenticity ['COA'] you have on the computer itself, or even provided with the following facilities [replacements & upgrades] OS - COA is the label with the product key of Windows 7 on it but do not reveal the product key itself online [the excerpt shown in the MGA results you post is correct] Note that many laptops have the certificate of authenticity within the battery compartment.
    9. What editions of Windows 7 {Starter, Home Premium, professional, full edition} are indicated on the certificate of authenticity [s].
    10. Windows 7 edition identified in the Control Panel, [view by - small icons, if necessary], System
    11. What activation status is indicated in the lower part of the Control Panel, [view by - small icons, if necessary], System
    12. What recent changes have been made to the computer [replacement HDD, motherboard,...]
    13. What indication do you have that your Windows is not genuine?
    14. You have already done to try to solve the current problem
    • Please note that the people who will try to help you maybe in a different time zone.  Display of all the information in your original question can avoid delays based on the current time zone [someone asked what your model of computer during their day, you don't see the question until the next day, they do not see your response until their next day - 3 days might therefore have passed without any progress].
    • Display of all the information in your original question also establishes a single point of reference so that people who are trying to help you can get all the information they need in one place.  It also helps to avoid delays.

  • I bought a laptop computer with non-genuine windows 7 I have the windows xp product key pro, etc. from the bottom of the laptop, but I do not have the windows xp pro cd.

I bought a laptop computer with non-genuine windows 7. I have the original windows xp product key pro, etc. from the bottom of the laptop, but I do not have the windows xp pro cd.  Help me, please!

You will need to either buy a version authentic retail Windows XP, with its key sales, to a true scource or visit the site of laptop manufacturers, support for your model and see what versions of win are taken care of, then buy a commercial version of this o/s.

The key on the base of the laptop is the recovery key that requires that the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer.

You could phone manufacturers to support to see if they have the origonal recovery cd send you, for which it maybe a small fee.

  • Windows is asking to specify a product key, but then says it is not valid for this addition of windows.

Three months ago my computer was so full of errors, I had to delete it.  I used all the discs I have, but for some reason my Windows went from Vista to 7.  I know I couldn't have updated online, because I had no internet access after that my computer has been cleared.  So he had to be the software I already had.  Microsoft now requires my product key.  I blew it off the power for a while, thinking it was just a fluke, but now it seems rather insistent.  I don't know what to do. I can't find anything online that corresponds to this particular problem.  My product key is taken directly from my box and I don't know what else to use.  Help?

The windows key is specific to the version of installed win. So if you installed from a win7 disc you need the key published with this disc of win7

So either you have installed a trial version of win7 from cd or you got the disc from someone else - and no key has been provided

If your PC came with pre-installed Vista key on the label fixed on the computer is the key to Vista and cannot be used with Vista or PC recovery to the disks

If you qualify for the free Win7 upgrade when you bought a Vista PC disk would be a win7 update disc and you would have been provided with the Win7 key

  • Product key is not valid while activating FSX.

    Original title: activation of FSX

Recently, I installed fsx on my computer. I also installed the service packs 1 and 2. It works really well, but does not work, so I can only play for 30 minutes before it stops me. "" It tells me that my product key is "invalid" I thought it was because I just bought fsx second hand so I searched and found my original of fsx and tried this product key... same thing happened ', invalid product key. I got this # activated at the same time, so I don't know why it says its not valid. I tried to activate by phone and Microsoft said that I had to uninstall everything and try to activate once I installed fsx only (before the addition of these two service packs). That doesn't work either so I emailed "Lyn" at Microsoft for his assistance with this problem, but after 4 or 5 emails, she informed me that the support for the Flight Simulator is no longer available. Of course, was livid and asked to speak to his supervisor on this issue, but that has not happened or the other. I have included a copy of my e-mail to "Lyn" and his response.

    Good morning Lyn.

I was happy to see an email from your part today. So before I wrote the details I had with fsx you already knew that you could be of any help for me? It seems just a bit strange that just because the product is old for a few years, it is not good. In fact I bought at least 4 or 5 programs FSX over the years, not to mention all Microsoft windows programs, I bought. It seems that hindsight is 20

/ 20. Let us create something that is not only the test of time, but we will do it so you can only play for 30 minutes unless you enable it. Then when people take the time to call and write because they experience a problem we will say that we can not help you more. What...? you don't stand behind your products. It isn't like I'm trying to get the most recent copy of a program or another. I just need an activation number that works like a patch should. Makes me want to stop buying your products all together because of a simple activation. (turns out that's not that easy) I did a lot of research trying to solve this problem and I thought that manufacturing would be the real pros and not make me move from site to site to see how ": Bob solved his problem." I already spent the way a lot of time and energy trying to solve this problem. Its a shame because I really enjoy flying but I better not as stealing more than 30 minutes at a time. Indeed, if some exception may be made in this case, I will not continue to tell all my friends and co-workers how big is Microsoft... and I have a lot of friends. Not that I think it's your fault by all means, but you knew from the first email that you wouldn't be able to help me. Could you please have your supervisor contact me in what concerns this e-mail. Thank you for your time and patients today Lyn. I hope that someone will be on the client side or Microsoft will go quickly downhill.
