Profiles of LR and Canon MP610 printer

For my birthday I recently got a Canon MP610 printer to replace my old i475D . Now before I have to engage in the path long and dusty - ok then, trials, and tribulations of printing from Lightroom with a lot of paper and ink wasted I have things right from the start. I have the general idea about printing from LR for example disabling ICM and let the application manage colors etc etc but it's the profiles themselves who have me a little confused and it is with regard to what I'm looking for advice.

With the printer, I received a package from Photo Plus semi-gloss (SG-201), but also we have in the range of Canon Photo Paper Pro (PR-101), Photo Plus paper glossy extra II (PP-201), glossy Photo paper (GP-401), Photo paper glossy "Everyday use" (GP-501) and paper Photo Mat (MP-101).

Now when printing Lightrooms module I click on color management > profile, I am presented with a drop-down list as follows: -.

Canon MP610 series GL2, ditto GL3, ditto MP2, ditto PR1, PR2 to Ditto, ditto PR3, ditto SP2, ditto SP3 - (ditto replacement Canon MP610 in each case obviously).

A nice person and knowledgeable please explain how these profile codes are codes of paper?

Here's a post on the forum on dpreview.com that can be useful.

Good luck

Go in the * Canon * Website and look. I can't tell you if
the drivers, you need exist or not, but keep in mind that each time a
new operating system comes out, the former hardware manufacturers
often decide that it is is not worth their time and their efforts to develop
new drivers for it. So, you might well be out of luck.

  • I have Windows 8 and Canon IP4000 printer.

How do make you them work together?

Canon IP400 is a printer pretty old and you my not to operate correctly with the W8.

Go to the Canon website below and download and install "Printer Driver add-on Module Ver.1.10 (Windows 7/7 x 64. I noticed that they have only drivers for x 64. Thus, your PC must be a x 64.

    Hello

If this isn't a driver problem there is a problem of setting or material and you
    need to contact Canon.

As Canon OEM is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with Canon support, online documentation, and
    drivers.

Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

  • Profile of Photoshop Black and white for printing

I'm a black and white photographer, this issue is so important for me to solve. I've been looking online and I still have to find the answer, so I hope someone can help.

I need to know how to set up the profiles of black and white in Photoshop for printing. The printer I have is a canon Pixma Pro 9000 mark II

I need real black and white. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion. If you need me to provide more information let me know.

I often print black & white work on an Epson, using advanced black & white in the print driver.

A quick Internet search found that there is something similar for Canon - Canon: PIXMA Manual: Guide to Digital Photo printing: printing black and white

I print files scanned in grayscale and have the profile to grayscale in PS 2.2 Gamma value.

If you print digital photos, they will be RGB, but which will probably make no difference. But you have to read the documentation for the Canon if it will be. IOW - if the image must be in grayscale or RGB levels.

Something very important when printing as this is to set the printer to manage colors (not PS) in the dialog box print of PS.

  • Canon mp640 printer and I am running Vista Home Premium. My email is Comcast. I can't print my email address

    original title: Debbie

I have a Canon mp640 printer and I am running Vista Home Premium. My email is Comcast. I can't print from my email address. The error I get is as follows:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

    Line: 2107

    Char: 1

Error: Unexpected call to method or property access.

    Code: 0

Please help me.  I called Canon nothing is done.

In fact, I already did what you said but it doesn't work. There is a conflict between windows explorer 9 and my canon mp640 printer. Microsoft consumer support figured this out for me.  What we have done is to uninstall internet explorer 9 and returned to internet explorer 8 and since that my printer works fine.

  • can scan, but can't print using Windows 7 and Canon MG6120

    Windows 7 64 bit, Canon MG6100 printer/scanner

Suddenly I can not print, but I can still scan so I know that the printer can see my laptop on the network. I get an error ' printer does not.
When you try to print anything.
He worked for a year and suddenly stopped working. Two other computers also running Windows 7 64 bit on our wireless network can print.
What I tried, but nothing worked:
-powered by bike all several times, including modem cable box router Linksys, laptops, printers
-deleted and reinstalled the drivers twice
-Run the troubleshooter who recommends adding printer for collective habitation I did
-removed the queue print jobs to fail
Nothing else seems to be a problem with my laptop or the network.
    Ideas?

For some reason any McAfee firewall started blocking the print spooler. I allowed outbound access and I also added the IP address of my printer and I can print now.

    2. go in the file menu > hover your mouse over Print > press and hold the space key

    3 try printing

This would reset the printing preferences for Photoshop.

Are there drivers for the Canon iP4300 on El Capitan's operating system? I had to get a new wireless router recently and once I did, my network does not recognize my printer more? Or I'm out of luck and just need to get a new printer?

Unfortunately, there is no driver support for El Capitan for a Canon iP4300 for El Capitan > https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/suppo rt-ink-printer/ip-series/pixma-ip4300 inkjet

    So, try this.

Open System Preferences > Printers and Scanners and select the print tab.

Right click or control your printer on the left, then click on: reset the printing system

Then, restart your Mac and your printer.

You may need to check the manual that came with the printer to set up your free Wi - Fi connection settings.
