• Maps of initialization and closing of HW

  Hello

  Earlier in each test case, I used to initialize the card, then close the cards once the test is completed. Why I use for each test case. But I think that's not good way of programming to initialize and close the cards each time. I want to initialize all the cards once the user connections and close all the cards when the user opens a session stop/exit. Yes, by doing this it will not affect my program or execution? or y at - it a better method?

  Yes.

  You can open the task ID in the first instance and run the software, generating signals, close the ID/task when you exit the software.

• The initialization of the lut for FPGA

  I am currently generate a waveform on an FPGA using a program to initialize a look-up Table (LUT).  When I select call VI of initialization, and then select the path and click OK, Labview begins to consume a lot of time CPU, but nothing seems to happen--none of the buttons except the open dialog box file and the close icon (red box with an x in the upper right corner) is grayed out.  Someone at - it ideas?  Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but there is very little documentation on this function.  I have attached the VI that I use to try to initialize my table.

  Any thoughts would be great.

  This must have something to do with the complexity of the LUT VI initialization.  As a work around, I simply wrote the data in a file that I then read for the initialization of LUT.  I have attached the screws again.

  The lack of reactivity is a problem, but also the absence of any indication of an error.

• Cannot initialize Trace32

  Hi all

  I installed an Interface of Debug Lauterbach to my laptop, which I am able to use through the Trace32 program which I got with a CD with my Lauterbach.

  I installed the VI according to the description, and now I am trying to create my first Lauterbach control program, which initialize HW, produced a handle ID and then terminates the connection according to the picture below. My problem is that I get the error "Failed to initialize Trace32" in error on the box, which of course is a clear indicator that my program fails to do what it is supposed to do. I tried to google this problem, but couldn't find a solution anywhere.

  Can someone help me with this issue, because it is a quite irritating problem.

  Great to hear that your app has worked!

  I was able to write a small program which automatically opens the debugger Trace and initializes the HW, so that the user doesn't have to go through the trouble to make sure that a specific program is running on the computer. I would say this code is what I was looking for when I posted my original question.

  You did it of any material changes or software on the computer before this problem?

  I recommend you to uninstall Avast! & Comodo temporarily from Add / Remove Programs. Later, check to see if the problem persists.

  To uninstall Avast!, you can use utility aswClear to uninstall Avast!.

  You can not install Comodo since Avast! has a built-in & antivirus firewall.

• Satellite Z930 - question on Win8 SSD partitions

  Just got the new Z930 satellite with the following 128 GB SSD partitions

  450 MB recovery partition
  260 MB EFI system partition *.
  9.66 Gb recovery partition
  Primary partition 8 GB *.
  100.76 GB boot, page file, crash dump, primary partition *.

  Only those that are marked with * are allowed to be deleted using the windows disk management tool.

  I'm assuming that the 8 GB partition is the recovery for a factory restore media. I intend on creating recovery media of course USB (9Gbrequired according to the creator of recovery media - 16 Gb USB recommended). Delete this partition, and then expand the main partition.

  Questions:

  1. someone knows what is the 9.66 GB partition and why it cannot be deleted? Possibly put into hibernation linked, but why 9.66 when there are only 6 GB of RAM installed (which would make the hibernation 4 GB partition)

  2. What is the EFI partition for?

  3. it is curious that if you take 4 GB (what the file hibernation for 6 GB of RAM should be) the 9.66 5,66 remaining and the score of 8 GB are basically the same size as the main 13.5 GB partition reported here for the z930 portege. Why Toshiba would squirrel away from the recovery media as well as space for hibernation? A way to recover the full 13.5 GB asmentioned in the z930 portege post?

  I guess that the 9.66 GB partition called recovery partition is created for HARD drive recovery.
  You can retrieve the laptop using recovery of HARD drive and does not require recovery or recovery USB memory stick drive.
  But I wouldn't delete this partition because you will lose the ability to recover the HARD drive recovery unit

  Right click on my computer > new > new... > select Global Variable.

  EDIT: although I agree with Gerd (he probably wondering why you need so we can recommend a better way ), I rarely use them in easy to write once - read many applications such as security levels overall program at initialization (VER) to read later, but NOT modified.  I know it would be better to make a good class, functional Global Variable (FGV) or a motor Action (AE) but globals ARE practical and safe IF used wisely.

• Impedance and exit Angle of Phase with Keysight 4294

  I use LabView to run my 4294A Keysight impedance Analyzer.  I was able to get the program to initialize and configure all settings and take the date of clearing the open and short my 16047 D test set-up.  After that I'm sticking my OTC in the son will continue formatting graphics and the autoscaling them.  When I use the memory tables and reading of data to view graphical waveform data and a table, the | Z | data (impedance) are displayed correctly but I have not been able to get to the exit data (phase) of theta will display correctly on the graph or table.  I tried switching active traces and use several functions to read but so far I can't make it work.

  Anyone know how to make this work?

  I could understand by comparison with another measure of instruments that the secondary output is the impedance of the imagination and here to compute the phase angle using the arctan of the imaginary in the primary.  Thank you for answering my problem and I hope that this thread can help someone who has the same problem.

• computer makes a sound when hardware is initializing

  My program goes through a long initialization procedure. While the program hardware initialization (an oscilloscope and a picoammeter), it rings twice. I think that there is some sort of non-critical error. I say to myself that I could use to divide and conquer to find where the error occurs, but I was wondering if there is a way to 'capture' a sound signal and turn it into an error message.

  Broad question!  is the computer "Beep" or one of the instruments of the system "beep"?

  Hi all

  I run my program trying to communicate with two EPOS2 24/5, the nodeId = 1 communication is normal and it is functioning normally, but with the nodeId = 2 I get this error is attached to the underside.

  I tried with the Example_demo.vi, but it does not work with ID = 2.

  The program to initialize the engine is inside a function using labview to 32-bit with EPOS2 dll from 32 bit as well. If I run the EPOS studio previously and run my program after that the error does not appear.

  I tried to find the error all over internet and I could not find. Could someone help me? How I can to solve?

• String to Cluster to table 1 d?

  OK I don't really know why im having issues with this (maybe because it's Friday but still), but I have an indicator on my FP which consists of a 1 d table 7 groups. Each of the Clusters currently contains only 1 indicator of string in it (eventually will be in it for the cluster must remain). But the logic will be sitting inside a case statement and when it is called I need this to display the ID of 7 last palette ripped a line (each pallet has a 4-digit identification number which is read by bar code). The output I get from my Subvi is only an indicator of string of the current palette ID being removed, how do I do view the ID of 7 from last palette and to update each time the case statement is called? Feel stupid now, but here, that's what I tried.

  I'll assume that pulling a pallet is somehow an event that occurs in your program.

  To maintain a list like this, I would use a functional global variable or driving force.  Somewhere near the beginning of your program, you initialize the action engine Subvi to store an empty array in the shift register.  More later, whenever your "palette of traction" event occurs, you connect this pallet ID action engine Subvi.  The Subvi will use build table to place the element at the end of the table which it stores in the shift register.  It will then check to see if it has more than 7 items in the table and if so, will remove the oldest element of the array and place this package in the shift register.  When the Subvi is complete, it displays the table located in the shift register.

• Help me please with this code

  It is the first program that I tried to write alone... and I'm stuck. I am trying to acquire data from a scope. I want the vi to load only the first field of application preparation time, the code is executed. Once the installation has been loaded, I want just the vi in order to reset the scope in order to acquire more data. I tried the first call, structures of the case,... all I can think about, but when I continually run the vi, it still loops and reloads the configuration every time. I have attached a picture of the code vi and describes the area of the code in question. The case structure is programmed to initialize the scope for open communications, then erase all existing data, and then call a program of specific scope to true. Wrong, I want only this setting of the code to initialize the communication within reach yet reminiscent of the configuration. A professional can explain it please how I'm supposed to accomplish this. Thank you

  If you use RUN continuously to keep something running, you are indeed pushing the button RUN every time it stops, the function PREMI¨¨RE will return TRUE every time.

  There are ways to do exactly what you're asking, but you are better off looking at the heart of your question:

  You need a loop.

  Put a loop around the part you want to do on several occasions.

  Create a STOP button to stop the loop.

  Make your INIT orders only once outside of the loop and make sure that the INIT part something happening in the WHILE loop

  (to make sure that the loop starts after INIT).
