I get a message from program work stopped and my program of architecture autodesk revit stops working, other programs also stop working. I spoke about security autodesk macafee, aol and told me that it's a system problem. I have the vista disc, but I have so much information on my computer I have to have. I am also in school and do a lot of work online. I would like to see if this problem can be solved wothout uninstalling and reinstalling windows vista and if not, I would like to know how to back up all the information on my computer. I have a 2 tetrabite mybook external hard drive that I use for storage. I'm in the middle of the finale of this semester include drawings, powerpoint and tests. Please answer as soon as possible. This is my second request for assistance in three days.

I suggest you perform a clean boot in order to check whether a third-party program or service is the cause of the problem.

Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.
