Projects messed AFX

Hello. I just got my new computer and running upward, so I naturally left my projects After Effects the hard drive from my old computer to hard drive again. I am sure I had all the files used in the projects etc, but I have now, I'm dealing with serious problems. Projects open very well and find video files they need, but all in / points and such are screwed up ups. Staples begin and end at the wrong time. It would be a lot of work to redo everything, it's rather a big project, divided into twelve records of projects involving hundreds of clips.

Anyone knows a solution for this one? I could really use some help here. Using After Effects CS4.

Thank you.

What kind of clips? Sounds like a systemic problem where images compressed are not persistent timecodes and due to different CoDecs being loaded, the calculation time based on the models of GOP do not match. ERGO, the logical thing to do would be to try and find out how they were treated on the old system and reinstall the respective bit of software (or in reverse, uninstall the potentially troublesome CoDecs of your new system). According to what would solve your problem. also, if this is related to the DynamicLink somehow, it may help to open the relevant first project, let the conform and AE let run based on the existing data in the Cache of media... Quite possible that first do something better that AE can not...

  • Minimize/maximize/close, missing

Not sure if it's a problem of Windows 7 or AFX but Ive noticed that the top of my AFX interface disappeared.

Sound the band that runs across the top of the screen with minimize/maximize/close buttons on the right and the Project Details AFX and icon on the left.

It is not a space where he was... the rest but just straight interface to the edge.

Any ideas what I could have done (or says) to lose? Sees nothing obvious in any prefs or settings, but it would be useful because it is there!

It began in the construction of an executable file with 3 error (could not load front), I uncheck 'remove FP', but I get error 2208. Now I changed the paths of certain controls and live in some classes due to name conflicts. And get a lot of errors "VI is locked by the owner. • can I delete the temporary chm without messing up my project?

I have a huge project with 33 folders, and about 20 000 htm files. Build a chm file, and there is a copy of each file in temp of chm files. If I try to do a search on the entire project, it also search these records. I wonder if I can delete these temporary files without screwing up my project. Thank you.

    Hello

No matter what with the Temp it is subject to demolition. You should be fine.

I believe that RoboHelp creates before compilation of CHM. It * SHOULD * be clean once finished, so it may be necessary to some research that occurs as to why they are being left behind. Unless, at some point the process fails.

  • No sound when you export the missing project like HD (AAC codec) video

    Hi there everyone!

I am facing a problem when you try to export a finished project to iMovie as a HD video, no sound!

    Here's the scenario:

MacBook Pro (mid 2010), OS X El Capitan free 10.11.2, around 90 GB of space on the hard disk, iMovie ' 09 (Version8.0.6)

The project is finished in iMovie, ready for publication in HD, when I saw it there, no problem with the sound. However, as soon as I try to export and select HD output quality, the .mov file will open without playing a sound in Quicktime format. If I select "large" inferior quality, it gives me a sound .m4v file. Even when I select "export with quicktime" and manually select the audio options (AAC 256 Kbps) the final version will have all the sounds.

A few months ago, I've been working on another project, it also exported in HD. When I check the first export view of the current project file information, it will say "Codec: H.264, AAC" size «1280 x 720, "when I export the current missing AAC while having the same dimensions.»

I'm really not an expert on these matters, but I tried to look for some option in iMovie, no luck. Maybe someone had a similar problem or knows why it does not work. I would appreciate help.

    Thanks in advance!

I was FINALLY able to get 1080 p with its new output using the following parameters:

I also HAD to define the file manually to .m4v extension before hitting SAVE as iMovie he left .mov (and it has not yet worked the first time he encoding with the .mov file extension).

I don't know what the latest update messed up in iMovie, but I've NEVER had a problem before the video release.  I hope that they get it fixed!

  • Open a project with a new configuration of the created layout.

I don't want to mix a work of someone else, 4 songs, the musician makes a big mess in the titles, opened many plug in unused reverberations, etc., the project of 22 titles I spent 2 hours to organize a new layout, I want to open the rest of the songs using my new page layout is it possible?

Delete audio files and record the song as a template.m empty, then you need to import files in the same ways that the pieces were in the model.

  • 'Clone' of the project library (.lvlib)

We have a study on sound localization - move us a speaker with a robotic arm, play sound through the speaker, ask our subjects to point a laser where they perceive the location of the sound and press a button.  We can also turn on LEDs and lasers, adjust sync settings, even to move the sound source.  The various tests are "programmed" by entries into an Excel workbook with columns for the timing, healthy situation, sound settings, etc.  In addition to the Excel workbook, we generate 3 output files - a header file XML that describes the configuration of the recording (analog and digital channel names and scales) and saves the settings of each trial as it is executed, an XML event which records all of the events of "point-in-time", such as Messages, status changes, or modifies the digital I/o, and a file of examples that contains N (usually 16) sampled analog and digital channels sampled at 1 kHz.  We control all of this a LabVIEW Real-time project, which also includes routines to study, manipulate and analyze data of output files.

The project evolves (slowly) - we are currently at Version 2.0 (Version 1.x was developed in LabVIEW 7.0, this is the complete rewrite 2012/2014, "start from scratch and do it right, or at least better").  We are contemplating adding the ability to study the sounds delivered via stereo headphones (vary the volume from left to right or by adding a small time gap between channels) and calls this Version 2.1.

To try and prevent "Version hell", we intend to do "backward compatibility" Versions - we will Add some new columns to the workbook Excel for new parameters in headphones, but put in place LabVIEW code to simply "do nothing" (with headphones) if he reads a Version 2.0 workbook where these parameters are lacking.  This allows us to code of Version 2.1 allows to make a Version 2.0 experience.

We are faced with one of the problems are to know how read and analyze or manipulate data files resulting.  For example, the header file contains specific sets the version of the data, which are analyzed by the XML parser and converted directly into a Cluster of LabVIEW.  Thus a Version 2.0 file must be read by the code who "knows" a Cluster of Trial Version 2.0, whereas a 2.1 file needs a trial 2.1 Cluster.

When I read the header file, the first thing I encounter is the Version number (2.0 or 2.1).  Knowing this, I could, in principle, use a Case statement to call a Version 2.0 or Version 2.1 analysis routine.  But I am trying to 'avoid a mess', and libraries in the project seems a good way to do so, if I understand how to use them properly.

[For now, I have to say that I tried a little experiment: I have created a new project, built Library1 in a folder with a 'Hello' and 'Test' Library1, built the library 2 (inside the folder library 2) with 'Hello' and 'Test' (different) and called the high-level.]  Worked well.  I then "took a shortcut" and copied the folder Library1 (outside of LabVIEW) on the menaces3.  When I said that the project to add 3 library, I had a mess of conflicts, which I couldn't resolve.  And I "broke" LabVIEW - even after removing all the .lvlib and the .lvproj files, I couldn't create a project and make a folder to add (Snapshot) without a missing file error to appear.  I did the experiment using LabVIEW 2012 - this problem has affected not only LabVIEW 2012, but also 2013 LabVIEW and LabVIEW 2014, but not LabVIEW 2011.  I spoke with the support of OR, which are also puzzled.  I am currently working in a new virtual machine until I can get LabVIEW "repaired"].

What I want to do is identify all Version-specific routines in my folder of analysis and include data in this case TypeDefs for the Version-specific parts.  I would then "wrap" all this in a project library Version 2.0.  The code "on the outside" would have its own copy of TypeDefs (she could use the "Latest Version", as external routines are supposed to be 'backward compatibility'.

    So here are my questions.

    1. Suppose that I restructured my project so that I have a record, both "Real" and "Virtual" (in the project) parsing, and it contains a subfolder called Version 2.0 that contains the Version-specific TypeDefs and most of parsing code.  Is there an easy way to transform the Version 2.0 to Version 2.0 Library folder so that when I call functions in this library, they use Version 2.0 of the TypeDefs of the library, regardless of the TypeDefs declared in the main routine?

  • Assuming that I have a folder of Version 2.0 of work and the library, is there an easy way to "clone" to make a folder of Version 2.1 and the library?  If so, all I would need to do the "work" for Version 2.1 of the code would replace TypeDefs of Version 2.0 in the file of Version 2.1 with the "correct" TypeDefs, and (b) add any additional analysis code is required for the new features in the new Version.
  • I apologize for the long-winded nature of this issue.  I look for tutorials on libraries of the project (there are), but none covered this topic.  To pay for your patience, I am happy to write and submit to the OR for a future white paper on libraries of the project - which would speak?

    Bob Schor

PS - Moderator - if it belongs to another Forum, feel free to move it.

On the money Bob!  Save under... Duplicate the hierarchy to the new location (requires that the new library offers a new name)

To convert a virtual folder to a lvlib just to create a new lvlib in the project and move the project members want in the new lvlib Project Explorer does the rest of the book nitty gritty on registration of the members of the lvlib with the new property information.  (You will be prompted to save the members when the composition is changed)

And Yes, it's the kind of mistake you don't do twice.  And, believe it or not, I had this type of issue used to justify not using projects! "they are too much hassle when you mud round in windows Explorer ' then I asked them if the never borrowed the car of their father and did not him tell you parked above on the next Street.  They now use projects.

  • Delete specific files of a project without deleting

A common operation in the lab I work in is:

Take a basic VI and change it to specific experimental purposes. The way we have done in the past is using the "save under...". "and selecting: 'Open additional copy' (and adding this file to the unique project that we use for all our work of LabView; probably a silly thing to do from the outset, only seen one project). However, we recently encountered a few problems with this (surprise, surprise) because a user has modified a Subvi, which was referenced by several rappclc. So, we decided instead start using individual projects and duplicate any relevant hierarchy to avoid changing the common files.

The first time that we tried to do this, we used "save under...". "and"Double hierarchy,"then save the new files on a new project. However, the duplicate files were added somehow the original project as well. The result is that there are several conflicts that whenever files are responsible for each project. The obvious way to solve this problem is to delete the overlapping of the original project, but I can find no way of simply remove them without deleting the files! This is a serious nuisance. Any ideas anyone?

    RF-

Thanks for the reply. I guess that's the way of the brute force to go, I was wondering if there was a more generally including remove the individual references, or several files. Thanks also for pointing out the mess of the icon.

  • VI Packager to pick up a big mess

    Hello

    I inherited a mess.

I have used Labview 6.1 in the past, but I'm far from an expert, but I'm used to and understand almost everything.

LabVIEW 6.1 had no project manager in former days.

I have a VI that operates a piece of test equipment that is critical to our business. (I'll call him 'App')

She was treated by several people on a journey of several years.

-It was created in Labview but do not know what version.  It should always run using LV 2010 present environment (not a runtime engine).

-He will NOT run in LV 2012.  I've tried it.

-It was NOT created by using the project manager.  It's a bunch of VI and VI Sub and things that Labivew has decided that he needs.

-He was always performed by using the LabView developers environment (it was never integrated into a standalone application.)

-It is big enough and in all directions.

-It has a scale, (NOR-DAQmx) and fuctions and calibration DAQ, files that I also keep intact.

My question is: How can I "collect" all the bits and submarines in a project so I can compile in a stand-alone package?

When I look at the main shaft of the VI, it called stuff in every sense, and these files that are in every sense are not in the folder where the main VI.

Should change to LV2012, I'm afraid that if I Pack properly this application, I will never lose it.  Can I rev the application until 2012 of Labview?

Is there a way to gather all this in a nice neat package by using the project manager or is there a 3rd party Packer that I can use?

Specific useful responses are always very much appreciated.  Comments out of place, not so much.

    Lebowski

If she should always run in LV2010 then continnue your development in LV2010.

If you want to "Project-ize" the application then take an empty LabVIEW project and add the main VI. Under dependencies will be placed all the subVIs called. You can then use this list to drag - move add up all the necessary subVIs in space project, using virtual folders to make the easy to navigate look.

To ensure that you have a good copy, use the feature save project as to make a copy of the project elsewhere (for example, a network location, or a memory stick) which will give you the option to include all dependencies.

Cleaning the location of files, switch the elements of files project tree by selecting CTRL + E on each dependency and place the disk each dependency in a more preferable location. You can book this process for the cloned project to make sure that you don't move screw in the original application (which can be expected for other applications).

Once here, you can then consider examines why it does not work in 2012, but if you need to work in 2010 I develop in 2012 because the conversion of backs can be heavy

  • AFX freezes for 5 seconds when switching between first and AFX

I do a lot of dynamic binding After Effects in first. So I'm constantly switch back and forth between the first and after touch. I would basically create the effect with AFX, then drag the comp on first and put it on my calendar. I would then switch back to AFX and tweak the timing of effects, back to the first and make sure it looks OK, etc.

But since the latest updates, After Effects hangs now for 5 seconds when I move to make a few adjustments.

This seems not to be that great after effects containing 100 comps projects.

I use after effects CC 2015.3 13.8.1.38 and first Pro CC 2015.4 10.4.0 (30) man and 10 PC Windows.

This seems not to be that great after effects containing 100 comps projects.

Æ checks the integrity of the project and saves temporary versions of the project. Sounds perfectly normal to me. You may be able to get the best results by regulalrly flushing the caches, so older versions are not held, but really, this sounds more like you need to adapt to your workflow and splice the comps to separate projects on a "as needed" basis rather than keeping a whole big piece of data with all the consequences.

  • Delete, rename and move projects

I just created my first video, but I have a bit of a mess on my hard drive. I think I've used to SAVE it AS a command to rename my project once or twice and, of course, I have all files automatically backed up. To make things worse, I think that my project found tangled with some tutorials, that I was working on. It's very confusing.

    I checked these guides...

How to completely remove a project?

    Delete a project. First Elements

The instructions look pretty simple - simply navigate to the folder where your files are stored and start deleting. But before I take the plunge, I would like to clarify a few things.

I would like to firstly, positively ID of correct working project folder. The easiest way to do this would be to rename the file, and then open Adobe Premiere, which should then give me some kind of error message, proving that I correctly identified my work project file.

Here's the catch: if I can restore the project name of the original file, everything will be OK or renaming to permanently break the connection? I learned how to find assets (for example images) that have moved to a new location; It works even with project files?

On a similar note, it is possible to move a project file to a new location? My home folder has a project file for a tutorial - Eagles Documentary.prproj but I'm working on the project file is stored in one of the several subfolders. Like I said, it's confusing.

Which brings me to another question... Once I have identified my current work project file, it is OK to remove EVERYTHING ELSE, including files and folders? I don't remember if one of these files were part of the installation of Adobe Premiere or if they are all legacies of tutorials.

    Thank you.

First of all, your project will be at the top of the list when you open Premiere Pro

  • The door again blurred when copied slides project demo

    Captivate - 8

    Hello!

I need some advice, and it would be SUCH a time saver if someone more experienced could help...

I create a project using slides both interactive and demonstration projects. Everything works fine, except when I'm going to copy the slides of the demo for a demonstration project.

I play the slide on the side of the demo, and it looks great. However, when I copy into my kernel project, the slide is messed up and the part I click on in the demo gets magnified. In addition, the part of the text of the demo starts banging on a completely different part of the page.

I tried a lot of things, and at this point, it's just frustrating.

    Any ideas?

The resolution is different between the demo and the project to which you are copying the slides? If you copy to a project that has a different resolution, ruin to the location and the size of the object is a typical result.
