Proper placement of the Image on the Second monitor

Monitor Problem.jpg

I used a setup two monitor for awhile.

Recently I replaced my 19 inch right hand with a 24 monitor monitor inches.

Now that I extend Photoshop CC 2015 on the second monitor, the extended section is not in line with the section base. In other words, the upper part of the extended section is 2 inches below the base section; and the bottom of the extended section is the bottom of the screen.

My system is Windows 7 64-bit with a videocard GeForce 660

Any suggestions on how I could fix this problem? In the display on the right hand monitor is set to full screen, the image appears correctly. I tried to use OSD of the monitor to change the location of the image, but this seems to be unable to solve this problem.

Above is a picture of the problem.  On the left is PS CC 2015; on the right is the extension of Photoshop.

Right click on the desktop and choose screen resolution. Select the second screen and drag by the amount of that compensation is.  It's something that I discovered completely by accident during the addition of a third screen (Cintiq Companion 2).  You can drag above or below, left, or right and refine the position.  It's a trick, but I'm not quite sure if it's purely Windows code, or integrated in the video drivers (nVidia in my case)

  • Satellite 1130-Z31: impossible to get 1600 x 900 on the second monitor

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1130-Z31 (an old, but everything works well).

Now, I have attached a second monitor with a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels.

I put the second screen resolution to 1600 x 900, it is accepted.

However, the image on the second monitor is ugly, and the external monitor´s what OSD says it gets 1440 x 900 pixel laptop computer signals.

It seems that Toshiba sends an image with a lower resolution on the whole.

I installed the latest graphic driver - no change.

Or would it be a problem with a bad quality VGA cable or almost?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the info which resolutions are supported for external screens, but if you can't get 1600 x 900 pixels which means that this resolution is not supported by the graphics card.

What video port are you using? VGA 15 pins port maybe?

  • Vista don't forget display settings; move the second monitor from top right.

Windows Vista is often (not always) forgotten my display settings for my external monitor.

I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT graphics card.  The laptop is running Vista Home Premium SP2 with all updates applied.  I have a Samsung LCD monitor mounted on the wall above the laptop screen that I use as a second monitor (driven by the output of the laptop).

I updated the display settings so that my second screen is located above my main monitor. My problem is that Vista often forget this parameter after the standby or hibernation, and returns the value by default display settings of 'second monitor is to the right of the primary monitor'.  This means that I often walk in the display settings to do the right thing (pardon the pun).

I've seen other messages to try to use 'View to connect' in the settings of Windows Mobile (win - X).  However this option only supports a second monitor is located on the left or the right of the main screen - not on it.

Any suggestions before I have eventually give up and drill several holes in the wall to mount the external monitor to the right of the screen of my laptop?

    Thank you.

In my case out of sleep the primary monitor (laptop) is off (still asleep) while the second monitor is on but the resolution is that the screen of the laptop and he took the position of the main monitor. I push the "fn" + 'f4' key to switch between monitors, laptop monitor turns on but the secondary display stands. Another pressure on the keys cause the laptop monitor to be shared and the secondary monitor is now on, that's what toggle keys do. On the third time that the keys have pushed the two monitors came the resolutions they were Setup.

Try using the ToggleKeys. On some laptops the 'f' key to toggle is "" f5"key. My 'f4' key has the image of two monitors.

  • U2414H, Dual, laptop, Windows 10, Nvidia GTX 960 M, no STDS to the second monitor?

    Hi all

I hope that I have included all relevant information in the present, but ask if I missed something. I bought two of the screens U2414H and a Windows 10 laptop computer powered by GTX 960 M with HDMI and Mini DP ports. My goal was to be able to the Garland of the whole U2414H screens so I could use my laptop out and about, and when connection back to the monitors of would have to plug in a cable and get two screens. In theory, but...

I followed the instructions and using two Mini-DP to DP cables, connected the mini laptop RFP RFP on the first screen. DP on this same screen highlights Mini DP on the second monitor. I activated the DisplayPort 1.2 on both of these screens. I can't get any signal on the second monitor, it boils down to the power saving mode.

Otherwise, I decided I would try using two cables and ditch the idea of DP STD I can at least use the two screens. So I have laptop HDMI to a screen and the MiniDP to another, and therefore, that alone will never work at a time. Individually, they work very well, both with HDMI or DP. But the two connection fails every time. When I tried to connect a display of alternative supporting HDMI as the second, which works very well.

So I had an autour reading and it seems that it is common to have problems of connectivity to these screens. This brings me well on my two questions:

    (1) is there something that would work?

    (2) assuming that there is nothing that works, Dell can swap these screens for two that will achieve what I need?

    Thank you

    Dave

In MST, DP 1.2 should be turned off (disabled) on the second monitor.

Laptop AMD on--> U2414H CDM to cable DP--> DP U2414H #1 in (DP 1.2 enabled) (Port #3 in the image)

    #1 U2414H (Port #5 in photo) DP--> DP U2414H CDM cable--> 2 # U2414H CDM in (DP 1.2 disabled) (Port #4 in photo)

When you use only no STDS, is the lid of the laptop open all trying to run two monitors of U2414H? This laptop can even run three screens, laptop LCD + 1 # U2414H + 2 # U2414H?

  • bug report: warning dialog always appears on the second monitor.

This applies to Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 (version 19.2.0). I already presented my bug report to Adobe. Here is what happens...

    Steps to reproduce the bug:

    1. cut the 'Application Framework'. Rearrange the palettes, and then create a new workspace. Quit and restart the Illustrator application.

    2. start a new document and draw something on it. Then close the document without saving it.

    3. a warning dialog expected pop up and say "blah blah blah...". If you do not save, your changes will be lost. »

    Results:

Here is where is the bug: the pop-up warning will still appear on the second monitor, not on the main screen. This same bug also appears when the embedded image of Photoshop is changed and a popup will ask if you want to update. new pop up appears on the second monitor only rather than on the main screen. I even tried to go back to the main screen, the following warnings are always appear on the second monitor. I even changed my monitors autour by reversing the display ports and the problem persists.

If anyone has a solution to this, would be great and I thank you ahead of time.

  • Win 8/IE 10: video Flash in mode full screen in dual monitor; video freezes on the second monitor

    All,

At the launch of a Flash video in full screen when you are using two monitors, the video freezes at a still image on the second monitor. This happens in mirror and screen extended mode images.  The video continues to play normally on the first screen, and the audio continues normally as well.  This problem appears only during playback of the video using Internet Explorer, do not not Firefox.

This seems to be a software problem, not memory or devices.  To be clear, the video is not stutter. rather, it freezes at a still image. I didn't have this problem using internet explore with the same configuration until I upgraded my laptop Windows 8.

    Here is my configuration:

    Windows 8. Internet Explore 10.

    Shockwave Flash Object: 11.6.602.167

ASUS laptop computer connected to a HD LED TV via HDMI.

    GeForce GT650M graphics card.

Core i7 and 8 GB of RAM.

You think, what is happening? Troubleshooting ideas? Thank you.

I just gave it a try on my setup triple monitor, but could not reproduce the problem.  I tried both stretching and duplicate the work stations, but they all work as expected.  If Firefox works well, then I wouldn't suspect your video driver but it is probably useful to take a look without worrying to do of course, you have the latest driver installed.  Then, try to temporarily disable hardware acceleration to see if that makes a difference.

How to disable or enable hardware acceleration?

  • The second monitor connected to the Satellite Pro A100 "disconnect" himself

    Hello

I use my laptop - Satellite Pro A100 (PSAACE) - with a second monitor with no problems until I did an upgrade to Windows Vista. After installation, the second monitor starts to show problems, i.e. that works intermittedly. Every 5 seconds or so the monitor "unplug" itelf and caps again. I hear the (UN) plug sound when she did this and the two displays flickers during this period.

Can someone suggest a solution to this problem?

    Concerning

I put t know what can be the problem but it sounds like the connection problem. Make sure that the monitor is connected correctly. Also try to test it with another external monitor. Is perhaps the cable or connector defective.

I have two monitors. When I move the window of firefox for the second monitor - scrolling of web pages is very slow. Sometimes he computer freeze (I can't move the mouse cursor).
I checked the other applications such as MS Word, Chrome.
This problem is only firefox problem.

This problem apears when the part of the firefox window shows on the second monitor (or even 50 pixels)

Hey, I had the same problem and I solved it:
    1. - in the Firefox menu, display the Tools/Options.
    2. - unselect the checkbox "use hardware acceleration when available.
This should work better now. Apparently the hardware acceleration makes the problems only when the windows of Firefox appears in a non-primary screen (don't know why). I suppose you know, but if you want to change your primary monitor you can do it from settings (right click on the desktop, then properties).
    Good luck!

  • iMac 27 "with the second monitor boots black with cursor

I can't seem to find another discussion altogether as my problem starting special 'black screen ':

New iMac 27 "retina 5K (end of 2015) running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 with second monitor Samsung connected by Mini DP - DVI.  When starting, the two screens are displayed in black, but the cursor is available and can be moved.

I have to make a hard stop and disconnect the second monitor to start at the login screen. Then I can reconnect the monitor and everything works.

    Any suggestions for a fix?

So, I spent some time with Apple customer support. Several of the standard troubleshooting for problems of mystery, they came to the conclusion that there was an incompatibility of driver with the Samsung monitor at startup which is mucking things up, and I just have to accept starting with the second disconnected monitor then plug it in again after a successful login.

Samsung does not write the monitor for Mac drivers (for some reason any), that's why the customer support figures that there is a hangup at startup. But why OS X recognize the monitor and run fine otherwise? Why only hang at boot time? And why my Mac Book Pro 2007 running the same version of El Capitan boot fine with the connected monitor? It has something to do with the Thunderbolt/mini-DP-to-DVI connection? I don't know, and I guess that Apple's Support is not either.

I fell on a hack, which is as follows:

    1. start with the second monitor connected

    2. in the "black screen with cursor" hold the power button quite long to put the computer to sleep

3 wake up the computer with the keyboard or trackpad or other

4 and now the login screen will appear.

    5 log in as usual.

    6.

I hope this helps someone. One day I'll get a more compatible monitor and it will not be a Samsung.

    They make nice dish, however.
