ProSafe GS716T switch register its replacement under warranty?

Just had a replacement GS716T V3 switch provided under the lifetime warranty. Does anyone know if the replacement should be saved?

I tried to register the replacement, but had the classic: "this serial number has already been registered in our system by a technical support representative."

And also "invalid manufacturing date.

Thanks in advance.

  • Security of the data to hard drive replaced under warranty

My laptop is fixed by virtue of the extended due to a hard drive failure warranty. HP has no problem, replace the defective drive. However, I asked that they return the drive failed for me, because it contains personal data and I want to make sure it is properly destroyed. They refuse to send me the original drive, unless I have pay $290 for it. Otherwise they will simply ship the laptop to me not repaired.

I am very hurt to her comfortable while simply trust that the reader will be well destroyed. I hear too many stories on data personal discs playing in landfills or elsewhere. I don't know that it would happen to HP, but then I don't know it won't, either, and it is not a value of potential risk.

Does anyone know what HP is doing to "destroy" a hard drive? Alternatively, anyone has any advice on how to convince HP to return my hard drive of origin for no additional cost, as it should be without me having to jump through hoops?

I can assure you that all personal data is secure when HP parts for refurbished devices used. HP treats thousands of thousands of pieces per day. Unless your failed hard drive is labeled "TOP SECRET" noone will give him a second glance. It merely add to the line, dismantled and the parties go into hp quality tests where they create parts for refurbished devices. The trays are too sensitive for them to be swapped around without a clean room. They are destroyed. probably thrown in a dumpster somewhere. Once that any type of dust gets on the trays the discs are unreadable, even if they have been good before he was saying-assembled. It is not cost-efficiant to slow production just to get the trays on a hard drive in a clean room. It is easier to throw away them and have a machine to replace

I received my first cartridges but before activation, my printer has been replaced under warranty. Can Howe I transfer the inscription, with the first month free on my new printer? I can't find any information about it anywhere.

    Dear @JonW1

I saw your comments on registrants to instant ink HP with your new printer.

I wanted to just circle back and clarify, when you buy a new printer or get a new one under warranty, you will have to re-register with the HP Instant ink. This will not happen automatically.

  • Replace HARD drive under warranty?

This request is on your laptop L655 - 17H.

I think my hard drive might start to fail, so I wonder if Toshiba it will replace, even if it is currently in a State of 'working '. I recently have slow downs and several boots failed, but this issue seems to have stabilized itself for now (the hard drive seems to have reconfigured the bad sectors). From my experience, once sector remapping starts to happen, things tend to come down quite quickly from there. Here are the S.M.A.R.T. data off the drive.

Given that the threshold for sectors reassigned on this player is 36 (until he comes in and mark it as a failed disk) and 13 of them have been used in such a life short (less than 300 hours), I think the HARD drive in this book can be considered to be defective.

Would Toshiba share my view and replace the drive under warranty, or what I should expect some sort of catastrophic failure before going through the motions?

As a side note, Toshiba does not seem to be recognizing the serial number of this laptop, which is strange.

Thanks a lot for any input,

    Gareth

What you read here on this forum are of different opinions, but what you need is the real answer, and you can get it from Toshiba service only guys.
They can check your HARD drive and replace it if necessary.

Make a call, explain the situation and hear what they think of this.

What you need to do every day is the backup of data.

  • C6578AN: How to get the replacement of the cartridge under warranty

Just opened a 78XL (C6578AN) Tri Color Cartride and yellow No., cleaning and priming make no difference.

The warranty date is February 2016.    I have a wide transport printer Deskjet 9300.

This is a freshly out of the box, although $78 only bought a while back to be ready for use when needed.

Is it possible to get replacement?   HP Web site implies that it is under warranty but no mechanism to communicate with them because they want a product # open support ticket and they won't take C6578A or C6578AM or any other variant I could think.

Staples has been happy to replace the cartridge, no questions asked.   They did use my credit card and check that I had bought the cartridge, but I don't have to have the reception.

N ' try not HP support unless you like to hold music.

I received the box of any cartridges that I buy as backup so I can just go to the store, if one of them is defective in the future of the band.

  • If the earphone wire is broken, it is under warranty?

    Hi all

I bought my unit 3 months back. After a few days, I found that my earphone wire is broken. I went to services too but they deny to replace.

My question is if the wire is broken, it is under warranty?

The warranty covers only a manufacturing defect not misuse or mishandling by the user

Sounds like "service"sees as damage of the user rather than a faulty product

    Hello

If you have not purchased the additional international interest, portable computer s hardware problems can be set only in the country where the phone was purchased.

But AFAIK that parts such as HARD drive or memory are set at the user level.
Maybe you n t need to send the laptop to UNITED Arab Emirates for a fix, but maybe the guys would be able to send you a HARD drive under warranty conditions.

  • ASP would repair a Satellite A model, which is more under warranty

Please could someone help me out here.

I registered my Toshiba laptop with the Toshiba site, when it was first purchased and I heard that there is a 2 year warranty with your product if it is registered with you site.
The problem is that I just discovered on the 2-year warranty and my laptop is now out of the warranty period.

The real problem is, my laptop broke about 13 months after purchase (the last time I used it would prove the time to break) and I just discovered on the 2 year warranty site that is now out of warranty I will continue to be able to get it fixed for free by Toshiba.

    Hello Sam

Is your question about laptop repair understood or you have any other questions?

To be honest, you guys really strange. You come here to connect with other people, read some reviews and what you do in the end bring you Garrett so low because of his opinion. It's really not fair. Be happy that someone wishes to discuss your problems and try to offer some comments on this. Must all of us have the same opinion as you?

So, if your question is: ASP would repair a Satellite A model, which is more under warranty?
The answer is: YES. But you know that you will have to pay for it.

  • Pavilion 500 - 200 t: about the location of the hardware driver under warranty?

My office went out of warranty and when I go to find drivers and updates the HP site won't take me to where I can find downloads and install? Matter of fact, it does not appear that they will do anything, unless I am under warranty. At least Dell will allow you to download and update. I don't think it's important, but I went from 8 GB to 16 GB of memory (which has maxed out on this desktop) that I would need the drivers or updates? This p/c is around 2 years and think that some drivers/updates to update is available?

    deerpark243

Since you already provided the link to HP Win8x for your PC drivers, if you have problems with any specific driver, you might be able to replace it with a HP driver by installing this driver in compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/

    Good luck

  • Portege R500 - only partially repaired under warranty

I went back to my laptop from Toshiba R500 to repair under warranty, but it has not been fully repaired.

The problem was first a noisy fan that resembled a scraping noise and the fan seems to slow or stop, the entire computer became sometimes very hot (too hot to the touch under). Also the computer worked VERY slowly when it is hot. I returned it to Toshiba and repair officer replaced the cooling fan but quoted me for additional repairs, that they were 'out of warranty' £650.

My question is this: how Toshiba may refuse to repair damage caused by severe overheating legitimate?
The fact that they have replaced the fan probably indicates that they accept that the fan was defective.

    > Please treat this as a warning against the R500 (in particular, I have no knowledge of other machines from Toshiba).
    > It gets VERY hot in the normal conditions of use. If the fan fails, as mine did, too hot to the touch.

Sorry but I don't agree with you... One of my friends owns a R500. Everything works fine. Of course some areas notebook placed near the cooling modules, and cooling grids are hot but it's nothing unusual.

You will encounter this issue on all, small (12.1 "and similar) cell phones (not only the portable Toshiba) because these books do not have enough room for the cooling of the huge modules as on the portable 15"or 17".
So you will always notice that the upper part of the cover or the keyboard is hot.
Also, the case cannot be broken because of the higher temperature.

However, I don't want to defend anyone or anybody, but this simply isn't fair to say that it is a poor build quality...

Finally and above all, I must say that I had good experience with Toshiba laptops (I have two different models of Satellite: U400 and A210).
U400 is a small model similar to the R500 to 13.2 "and I noticed that the keyboard is hot on the left side because of the cooling module and the grids on the left.

    To return to your question
Has anyone else had similar problems?

Yes, as mentioned, I noticed that my keyboard or the left side is warm but it is not a problem but a behavior common to all small notebooks
