This is IMPORTANT: do not remove your BBID. Do not reset your BBID. You may well be in a situation where your device is useless unless you get the BBID. And if you remove the BBID while there might be no hope.

See http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-software/How-to-regain-access-to-your-BBID/... for advice. But, repeat, DO NOT delete the current BBID.

If you are unable to retrieve the BBID and you are locked out of the unit because of that, BlackBerry has stated that...

    Hello danilosoriano

    Welcome to the community

BlackBerry Protect recorded data backup through the internet and if you reinstall Blackberry Protect on your phone after a security Wipe, it will ask you to connect to your Blackberry ID and after that it will ask you if you will be restoring a backup or start anew. If you start over, the backup will be archived online. Did you choose to restart or restore from a backup file?

  • The Z10 BBM blackBerry reset

Is there a way to reset the BBM then the function checks for the contacts to import using your BlackBerry ID?

    TIA - Kevin

You can try to uninstall and reinstall BBM.

I know that the contacts are connected to your ID blackberry, but I still recommend you back up your device using Desktop Manager before continuing.

Hey!  I love my new phone, I've had it for 4 days, I'm having a hard time finding a few things, I put a ringtone to a specific contact, but I don't know how to set the ringtone for when they text.

I found the email and bbm in the ringtone part - option what Miss me for the text?

Currently, in all the versions release SW, there is no way to set a specific ringtone by contact, as you can email, etc.

  • Protect the Q10 blackBerry with Blackberry problems

    Hello Blackberry community,
Recently, I've had my Blackberry "BOLD" stolen so I said 'no problem, Blackberry protect will take care of all my stuff. "Sound in the cloud." But today, when I got the blackberry protect recovery in my brand new Q10 I realized that I don't have that 31 contact now! Almost all my contacts are GONE! Anyone know what could have happened with the rest of my contacts? I do not understand how the Blackberry protect weekly backups I had put up only ended up saving a small part of my contact list. According to the Blacberry protect the site, the last backup was August 5, 2014. My cell phone was stolen on 12 August, the backup should be updated. But it's not. Is there a problem with Blackberry protect migrate Blackberry 7-10 of Blackberry? No indication as to what is happening with my contacts is greatly appreciated.

    Concerning

Hello there, 31 contacts most likely are from a very old backup, and all your contacts are now synchronized wirelessly with your email. Which is why you don't have them in a BlackBerry protects back upward.
Haven't you set up your email yet? What are the prospects it, Gmail?

  • Absolutely new Z10 smartphone blackBerry user, a senior, new owner of the BlackBerry Z10, you have questions a little later

I am a new user of a smartphone and a BlackBerry, a Z10 with Bell, I'll give you the mandatory model number when I have a specific question.  I am 2 days in this, still getting the thing 'gesture' down pat, I'm not too good at this but the representative showed me.  Not a shot on the table-toss-away motion.  There seems to be some screen pages that don't gesticulate to the small size of box at all, as far as I know, some people, when they may be X'd OFF... but they seem to go away once as the main icon screen is in place for a bit...

I have a message for the company of BlackBerry and it is, please add some info on your User Guides and instructions on the Web pages [this is written on my laptop, I gave the Z10, a rest] for THE BEGINNERS of SMARTPHONE.  They generally speak to previous owners of older models BlackBerry or those who know the fact and not the person like me who has to learn to 'gesture' and tap and "stationary", etc...  It is covered too quickly and too not clear in videos and demos, you have online.

I fear this could cause frustration for new users... in any case, I'm persistent.

    Please persevere.

I have to admit that the Z10, great as a phone as it is, is not the beginner phone. Even I, with years of experience of BlackBerry, took some time to adapt to it. Once you get the hang of it, you'll see that it's the best smartphone that you can buy. Until that happens, I hope that you'll hang in there and give him a chance.

    See you soon.

  • Z10 blackBerry how can I copy photos and videos of the Z10 for my PC can I?

I have a temporary Z10 I'm learing to use.  My old curve supplied with desktop software that allowed me to connect my BB Curve to my PC via a USB cable and I want to sync my photos and videos.  I took a few photos and videos with this Z10 camera temporarily but I would like to be able to copy on my PC until I need to restore the device.  How do I do that?  My existing BlackBerry Desktop software does not seem to recognize the Z10 if I plug.

If their on the memory card, you should be able to define the settings > storage and access > scroll down to the bottom of this screen and the value of USB mass storage on.

Now connect the USB cable and media card should show up as a removable drive on your PC.

  • How can Z10 blackBerry I switch the Z10 to BB9900 device?

    I need to move from a Z10 to a BB9900!

Looks like there is no way to do it?

The Blackberry Desktop software can't hired the Z10 .bbb backup file or the Z10 itself...?

and the Blackberry link does not work with the BB9900... ?

    Help, please.

    What is the alternative?

There are other applications such as the ContactX that backup manually, extract and restore to a CSV or XLS file.

You can use it to downgrade to the 9900.

  • BlackBerry software is there any REP RIM here? They have noticed what is happening? I can't move the Z10 to Q10 data

Is there a representative of RIM here?
I know it's a common problem, I see a lot of forums, here, crackberry and many others still problems with a link to BlackBerry.
    1. I can not switch device of Z10 to Q10, 1 he says my old software a Q10, I've updated to the latest, now it says please make sure that my device is connected and try again, I press Retry and still failed to detect (to restore the data from backup Z10 to Q10) other than that, it can detect my Q10.
    2. in order to restore the backup data, you must connect on BlackBerry ID first and it makes your BBM contact transferred without the others, contact, SMS, calendar, notes, alarms, settings, etc. I think back to the Z10 and subsequently all my cats opened in Z10 simply disappear, I still important chat with appointments, addresses, price negotiation, hotel reservations, argh it of frustrating because whenever I wanted to again restore device, it will ask you to log in again, and how is it going to decide who is my PIN valid across my BBM contact if I keep switching like that device back...

Why can it not be like the old days of the OS 4, 5, 6, 7 and 7.1?
Where we can make full or partial backups and restore it on any device and any OS?
Did not have a proper test and research before releasing OS10 and link to BlackBerry on the market? (This question goes to the RIM Rep wherever you are)
If you want to make all your clients run away because that your software and have problems, you did

It's my last bad experience with BlackBerry before OS10
Laughable poor camera on 9900 I cannot take pictures of receipts and documents, and I have to charge 3 times per day (this is supposed to be a 'mobile phones'? I'm always done with flat battery when I'm mobile, and I stuck on the charger for hours waiting to load)
And now this... Come on do RIM, something please we really like your device...

I like most of the devices are 9700 and 9780, with the exception of the Office Manager who is not the automatic text backup. Great camera, battery life.

BTW I'm using the latest version of link but still cannot restore data.

    Hello

Is there a representative of RIM here?

Note the banner at the top of most pages on this site:

This site is not a channel for any official communication with, climb in, nor the official BlackBerry support, for any purpose.

    virtue says:

For BB10 was not an evolution of BBOS... it is completely new, and unfortunately they do not take all considerations of preliminary design and use them when they created BB10 and he has associated with sets of tools.

    virtue says:

Where we can make full or partial backups and restore it on any device and any OS?

This feature, well as requested by many, has not been implemented. It is impossible for anyone here to know if/when it will never be so.

It seems that the rest of your post was for most of the comment or directed to a public not in this community of user-to-user public, so I'll just leave those alone.

  • Encryption and Protection of SQLite database - App of signature with the Signature of Blackberry tool

    Hello

I am trying to encrypt and protect my SQLite database. To do this, I have generated a pair of public/private key using the administration Blackberry signature tool. Then, I added the .key file to my project and written the code for encryption and data protection. Then, I signed the app with Blackberry signing authority tool such as mentioned in the documentation. It was duly signed. But my application does not work on the device. It shows that my application tries to access a secure API which means that it is not properly signed.

    What could be the problem?

And also I want to know what is the difference between the signing of the "Tool of signed" app within the eclipse and sign the application with "Blackberry signing authority tool '?

I sign my application with eclipse itself "tool of signed" before adding the public .key file and it worked very well.

    Please suggest.

    Thank you.

    You must sign with both.

  • PROTECT the blackBerry BLACKBERRY Smartphones

    Hello

    I just changed a BB Curve 9360 a Bold 9900.

On the 9360, I had installed (and it worked very well) the BB Protect app.

On my new "BOLD", I downloaded the application of the BB world but

-protect the bb icon does not appear in the downloaded application file

-in my world APP translates and installed

    what I did:

during the first installation of the application, it appeared a message (please forgive my English, I am not native language) which can be translated in: pending installation

I've disinstalled program, re boot the phone and retelecharge the application

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but nothing has changed

No idea what to do? I need to have the application installed correctly

    Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the community!

I can't say for sure, but please use this method to check whether the application is or is not installed on your BB:

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone

If it is not installed and inside the AppWorld says 'Setup', then something else may be wrong. So, first of all please try this:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

In addition, you can try this sequence:

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if you can now successfully install the application.

Also, make sure that you do not use of any custom theme while you test this out. If they for some reason, hiding the app, it may be the cause. In addition, don't forget to watch all the folders and subfolders to the home screen and make sure you have "show all" active looking application icon (assuming that the app is otherwise reported as installed).

    See you soon!

    Hello world

How (or can I) link a contact in contacts in BB with their location saved in BB maps?

That is to say 'Bill' is in the contacts, but the location of his room is in BB maps. Is there (there will be) a way to synchronize the location on the map

in contact with 'Bill' without flipping backwards?

    Thanks for the question.

This is a great idea, but currently this is not supported in BlackBerry 10.

The default router on the Z10 for internet tethering or a configuration point hot seems to be 192.168.0.1 and the IP address it assigns my laptop when I connect to it is within this range of IP addresses... The question I have is when I connect to a VPN service where the internal IP addresses used are also on the 192.168.0.x subnet.

Is it possible for me to change the IP rangde the Z10 used when it assigns IP addresses to client connections?
