PS the screen remains as my office (CS5)

I just got my new CS5 and my new MAC, an old PC and CS2.

When I open Photoshop, all the menus are present, except that my screen stays at my office. Whenever I click outside a photo editing Im, the desktop and I don't see any more - Ps I had to click the icon of the Ps on the set of the bottom, again and again... its really getting frustrating. I don't know if it's good news: the only choice I have is 'standard screen mode', and I can't click on mode full screen. As you can tell I'm not a professional seasoned Ps, I hope that you will find throughout my layman's language. What do you think is happening?

Please help if you can. Thank you very much

By default, the 'Application Framework' is disabled, that's why you see your desktop through the interface of Photoshop. It is real simple switch. Just go to---> window---> Framework Application. This will put a check mark next to it and you will immediately see that you were once accustomed to.

  • MacBook Pro 2015 turns on but the screen remains black...

    Hello

Today, I tried to turn on my MacBook Pro, but my screen stays black. When I press the caps lock button, it turns green which I guess means he lit. I've also heard the startup chime it generally makes when you turn on. I already tried to turn it on and off several times and reset the SMC and the LANDAU... The screen is always black.

    Could someone help me please?

Also a few minutes ago the fan has started to make noise in the macbook...

    But the screen remains black.

    Thank you

    Shaynidw

    Hi shaynidw,

From your description, it seems that your MacBook Pro is powered, as soon as you hear the startup chime and see the light on the keyboard.  Thus, it seems that the problem may be with your screen or the video card.

On the screens you see when you start your Mac

    Power on

When you turn on your Mac, display is off (black) and you hear a startup chime. Your Mac Initializes his BootROM and memory (RAM live). It then performs a power - on that self test (POST) and a test of BootROM. If you hear beeps or chimes at this stage, this indicates a possible hardware problem and start stops. If you add memory to your Mac, check that it is installed correctly.

    White screen

After that only walking self-test is completed, your Mac sends a video signal to your connected screens. The screen may appear black or grey at this point in the boot sequence and backlight of the screen should light up. If you do not see the image appears on your screen after a few moments, try increasing the brightness of your screen. If you use an external monitor, make sure it is properly connected and turned on.

shaynidw, if set up the brightness of your screen does not help, you have an external display (computer screen or TV) that you can attach to your MacBook Pro to test?

In addition, you can try to start your computer in safe mode to see if you get different results.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the problem persists, you may need to take your computer to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple , so they can inspect the video card and cables to isolate the problem.

    Take care.

  • Toshiba Qosmio DX730 PAQ13A - no signal - the screen remains black

When I turn on PC (all in a single DX730 PAQ13A-010005) the amber light turns white as it should. However, the screen remains black.
If I unplug the connection, and then reconnect it, a message appears on the screen indicating 'PC', it then changes briefly to display the message no Signal.

He will not go to log in screen etc. because the screen stays black.

    All advice appreciated.

    Must be the hardware problem.

It seems that no signal can be picked up by the monitor...
Probably the mother or any other element connected to the motherboard is defective...

I guess its time to contact a technician if you want to solve this...

  • Re: TV TOSHIBA 26EL800A - TV is on, but the screen remains empty

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba TV 26EL800A purchased in May of this year. Tried to turn on the TV using the remote control mode standby (red light) to on (green light) that has the remote control - the screen remains empty (as there is no power) and after a few seconds the light changes again red - standby again.

Tried this using the keys on the TV as well and the same thing (have checked batteries for remote control, checked PowerPoint (my dvd player works the same record 2 and it works) but don't know what else is causing the screen lights?)

    Any suggestions?

I put t really know if you can find the solution here on the computer systems forum.
What you can try is to unplug TV, leave for a while and check again.

If the same thing will happen again and again I recommend to contact your local dealer and ask for help or contact the provider of Toshiba directly.

I have a laptop Satellite A300. I tried to turn it on when I got home from work and the screen remains blank. The bottom (plug, power and battery lights) turns on but the screen remains black.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

It of hard to say what's going wrong here, but maybe it s just a small issue that could be solved easily.
    Try this;
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter.
A few hours and reconnect the two parts.
I had this problem in the past and leave the laptop disconnected during the night.
The next day, I connected battery and adapter A\c and the laptop worked again

Maybe this will help you too

The power and the battery on the headlight LEDs, but the switch light does not work. I checked the power supply and it is 19.3V and substituted a good known. Removed the battery, tried with just the power cord and still nothing. Pressing ESC or F2 when you press the button power does not bring to the top of the screen of the bios or any other message. I have concluded there is no power the jury. A friend he had its technology take a look and he concluded Council is probably a friend.

    So my questions are:
    1. He's probably right?
    2. is it a common problem with an easy solution?
    3. what else can do before shelling out for a new Board of Directors?
    4. is there a link where I can find how to disassemble the case?

    Any help appreciated

    Hello

    > 1. He's probably right?

Yes, it looks like motherboard failure

    > 2. Is this a common problem with an easy solution?

If it's a motherboard problem, the whole motherboard is replaced. Quite expensive part...

    > 3. What else can do before shelling out for a new Board of Directors?

I don't think you can do anything with fried mobo

    > 4. Is there a link where I can find how to disassemble the case?

Take a look at the site called irisvista.com

  • Qosmio X 770 turns on but the screen remains blank

So my Qosmio X 770 turns on but the screen remains blank, it was randomly turning every so often, but now it is just blank.

The hd works fine again, I tried to plug it into a TV to see if it works, but no signal is found. I was informed by a friend that it could be a problem with the graphics card, I wonder if it can simply be exchanged if I buy a new one or if he joined, and I have to replace the whole motherboard?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Even if the HARD drive is faulty, the laptop should be able to IT and you should see the home Toshiba on the internal display screen.
If its definitely NOT drive HARD problem.

You said that you have connected the laptop to the TV. You see the start of Toshiba on the external monitor (TV) screen? Are you able to access the BIOS by pressing F2?

If this is not the case, there is certainly a hardware problem.
It could be a fault of memory modules, graphics card or the same motherboard malfunction could be possible.

GPU problems or the motherboard, the whole motherboard must be replaced and that's expensive fix because mobo belongs more expensive laptop.

    Try a hard reset:

Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
Press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
Plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
    Press the power button

    Please post your results here.

  • When I turn on Satellite L350D-131 the screen remains empty

When I try to turn it on on my computer laptop powers but the screen remains blank

    Hello

    I read a lot about similar symptoms of portable and in most cases users were abele to solve this problem by following this short and simple solution;

-Unplug the power adapter, remove the battery
-leave the laptop disconnected for a longer period of time (3-4 hours waiting)
-then connect the two parts, and switch on the device.

I think that should help if there is no serious hardware problem

  • Acer blue 720 and the fan are on but the screen remains black

    Hello

I appreciate any help that can be provided.  I tried to remove the batter on my daughter 720 and reinsert, but this problem persists.  I can hear the fan and the blue light turns on but the screen remains black.  I tried to rest for 30 seconds and esc, refresh and power.

    Thank you

Well, when the scrween does not at all (even in text mode which allows a recovery) then it is most often a problem with the cable bwteeen the motherboard and screen, most often following it is a failure of the screen (which requires generally a matter of co-location as cracked screen) and from time to time, it is the motherboard. Probably time to contact Acer support to see on a repair.

    Hi Bilipino,

You have more than one display card? Try to connect your monitor to the another card and see if you can get the display.

  • HP2000 369wm: connected replacement screen, the screen remains black.

Hi I'm new here, I tried to find the solution here, but I can't find what I'm looking for but anyway...

My laptop had a broken screen so I used an external monitor via the vga input. One day I was messing around on the web and I got a virus that paralyzed the system that all frozen cuz then I thought that if I plugged in my phone that I could try to fix it, but eventually transmitting it to my phone, but luckily I could reset it. I thought that if I replaced my screen that I would be able to get the screen for boot sequence or something but the screen remains black and externally will not work. There is something lacking in me to use the primary monitor, I just put? Or is there a way I can format without being able to see? I'm sure that the virus all messed up my boot sequence, but without seeing the screen and unable to use external, I am at a loss.
