  Scan to PDF is not available when you use the built in Windows drivers. Since there is no software of full functionality for the PSC 1215 in Windows 7, you will need to find software of third parties to scan in PDF format.

  I heard good things about VueScan, but I also suggest you do a web search of your favorite for scan software PDF search engine.

  The Director HP scanning option let me scan to Word on my psc 1215 all-in-in-one using Windows XP.  Wonderful.

  The software for this model is no longer included as a separate download.  The driver for your printer in Windows 8 has not the ability to scan OCR.

  There are several programs you can get who will perform OCR on your printer can still make analyses.

  As OEM HP is responsible for the proper functioning of the printer/scanner and their drivers.
  Check with HP Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask in their forums.

  Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

• scan several doc page on vista with hp psc 1215 all-in-one

  I have Vista 32-bit with SP2 and a printer all-in-one hp psc 1215.  There is no driver to download, the printer works under Vista.  I understand that I may use just mspaint or windows photo gallery to scan to the computer.  Is there a way to scan multiple pages in a doc for sending e and recording on the computer?

  The only formats I can see painting and Win Photo Gallery are bitmap, jpeg, gif, tif and png.

  My computer expertise not much!

  Hello. I have a printer all-in-one psc 1215. My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 64-bit. I have an installation CD for the psc 1400/1500 series and I would like to reinstall. What do I need to uninstall first? How?

  Looks like there is no HP Print software currently installed on the PC. Go ahead and install the latest driver from the first link, I've provided you to reinstall the software for the PSC 1215. HP recommends always reinstall drivers Support HP's official website to ensure you have the most up-to-date software for your printer.

• Jobs stuck in the queue on hp psc 1215.

  After crossing solutions 1 to 10 in "impossible to print. Jobs stuck in the queue", I have now lost my printer.  Tried shutting down, unplug all the cables for laptop & printer & re connected every 12 hours later. But no sign of the laptop to find the printer.

  Copier & scanning work ok & pressing the "Cancel and color" keys on the printer, I have a very good test print.

  Printer.  HP psc 1215 all-in-one & OS, Dell inspiron 1721.

  Open Control Panel-> audio & -> printers-> add a printer-> add a local printer *-> use an existing Port-> select the manufacturer & model-> name of the printer of Type-> Views-> Refresh.  (This shows the icon of the printer).

  N/B:-* ignored this "use this option only if do not have a USB printer" & have chosen this option.

  I came across your post about needing help to install your PSC 1215 turn it on for your Mac running 10.10. As there are has no comprehensive software features or drivers available for this printer on 10.10, you'll need to install the printer by an update from Apple.

• Problem with PSC 1215 and Vista

  I had my PSC 1215 works fine until I got a new laptop with Vista. He acknowledged the printer I use OK but although he tells me scanner etc is installed and I can't bring up the HP Director Image on the screen of work, nor do the PSC appear on the list of installed programs. How can I get the Director seem so I can use the scanner?

• PSC 2175 windows 7 64 bit - stopped printing

  I have a HP PSC 2175 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier. I use a book ultra HP spectrum 13 w / Win7 Pro, SP1. Windows says that the driver does not work, printing to port USB001 (virtual printer port) the printer used to work fine, then it stopped. I suspect a windows update broke the driver somewhere, but because the driver is now provided with the operating system I can not uninstall and reinstall. All I can do is remove the printer and then add again, that did not work.

  The symptoms that are a few lines when printing from Word or PDF can print huge print through from top or bottom of the page, and a bunch of blank pages spit. Using HP print and Scan it says doctor through the correction of errors, but the test page spits out 2 blank pages. Windows test print spits out 3 pages, 2 white and the other with a single line in huge letters in the upper part. Printing a test print notebook product also 2 blank pages.

  Now even devices and printers in Control Panel does not respond. I submit this, I guess I'll restart. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.

  I ran the HP print and scan doctor a bunch of times in the past, in fact. All he could tell me was to reinstall the printer, who, of course, I can't really because the pilot is now in the operating system. After several attempts to remove the printer and reinstall USB cable, nothing seems to have worked.

  Until last night! I had scanned a bunch of pages last night - I had not scanned nothing since the printing problem began. Now, the printer works fine. It must have been a few old cruft somewhere in the communication link that performs a work of analysis seems to have cleared.

  I can't say that the scanning was difficult, but I can't say that it wasn't to be.

  Problem solved, thank you for all your help and attention - you kept I'm working on the problem, until it fixes itself!

• HP Photosmart 2510 PSC and Windows 7 Solution Center does not

  I have just updated my OS to Vista Business Professional for Windws 7 Ultimate and now device not found when I try to use the center of Soluton HP. My device is a PSC Photosmart 2510 All in One andconnected a network cable. I also tried installing Windows 7 analysis with similar results. Any help would be appreciated gratefully.

  OK so I got a new router so the IP address has goen of 169.254. * to 192.168. *.

  The page configuration network bed 169.254.124.x as the IP address and wireless can be found as the SSIS is hpsetup.

  I connected the USB cable, downloaded the HP printer Assistant Installer download and installed and it works great via USB.

  My question is how to operate via the network (wired / wireless).

  It is not rocket sceince, I spent hours tryign to make this work. The Wizard Windows Vista let me set it up easily, but what is the alternative Windows 8!

  If the router is WPS enabled, then following the instructions in the video that I have provided should allow you to connect. Otherwise, if it is not connected, you can use always an Ethernet cable from the printer to the router, or a USB cable from the printer to the computer.

  I can't print from my Dell laptop inspiron 1721.  There're are equipped with two new b/w & color cartridges.  The print queue will not let me delete when status says it is printing, but ' nt print.  The printer works when it is directly from the printer & scans of the printer to the laptop.  How can I solve this problem?

  Error 0 x is a generalized ink system failure message. There are a number of reasons that would entail. I would have pasted the instructions in my post, but this document is pretty length the nature of the error.

• My psc 1215 do not print

  I installed a new Windows 7 computer.

  The printer is installed and ready as a standard printer. I can print it, the computer tells me, but it will not be printed.

  the order is always standing in the queue. Can I cancel the print order, but I have to reset the computer of tpe to really get out of the queue.

  Does anybody know a solution for me? I tried all the steps (except by using a usb cable) the HP site tips.

  A friend suggested to remove the printer from the list of hardware and re - install the printer.

  It's the sollution, I can print now.
