  I saw your post about how you cannot scan using the ADF, when you're using your Mac, however, you can scan using the ADF using your Windows System.

  Let's try the following steps:

  1. Mac OS X: how to reset the printing system
  2. Repair disk permissions
  3. Restart your Mac
  4. Re-add the printer (not the AirPrint driver)

  Now see if you can scan using the ADF.

  I have a HP Probook 430 G1, which is about 1.5 years old. All of a sudden it won't work without the charger plugged. If I leave the charger, it immediately stops and will not start until I plug it again.

  Summer look far for an answer to this problem. Made an account here to try to find more answers. So Hello to everyone!

  We have an older spectrum XT Pro notebook that I received from another user. When I got up, the battery was dead, and material UEFI scans indicated that the battery needs to be replaced. After checking the part number on the HP PartSurfer's (part number 685989-001), we decided to order online.

  It seems that HP does not have this battery more, so we found a second-hand on Amazon. After a week or so, the battery came, and I installed it without problems. The system is turned on without the charger (huzzah!), so I leave this weekend to recharge before putting to sea.

  This morning, when I came back to check on the machine, the prosecution was capped at 92%. At first, I thought the battery simply need to be recalibrated, but found that when I removed the charge cable, the laptop is dead immediately. A little worried that the battery I received was defective, I ran once again the analysis of material UEFI. This time, the battery has been reported as OK. Very strange.

  I tried updating the BIOS, UEFI material checking, and the drivers on the machine, but none of them make a difference. I unplugged both the main battery and the CMOS battery, but no change in behavior. I have reset the BIOS settings, but there is no change either. If I do a scan of the battery alone or a full analysis, the system reports that all systems are OK.

  The only other thing I noticed is that the battery we ordered has a sticker with part number 686189-001, which does not match the one we ordered. The search of this part on PartSurfer number takes nothing. Apart from this sticker, the battery itself is identical, with the same voltage and the same power and the same number of secondary part of the 685855-1 b 1. I guess that it is possible typo, and batteries are indeed identical parts.

  If anyone has any ideas why this machine is not working off battery power, I am open to try. The system reports to a high battery Windows, but simply refuses to take this battery when I unplug the charger.

  An update:

  So I contacted HP on the battery, and they decided to ship a brand new! After installation, the new battery seems to work just like new. Success!

  Not sure what was wrong with the old, but happy that I was able to get a fix.

  I see that you are having problems when scanning using the document feeder. Have you tried to do a scan using the HP Easy Scan application? HP Easy Scan is a free app on the App Store with tools to scan documents and photos to a Mac running OS X 10.9 or later version.

  Please go to http://hp.care/2d75fhX to get detailed instructions to scan and also to change the settings, including the color settings. If you don't have the application, you can also download and install the application from the same link.

  These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results

• Compaq does not start without charger

  First of all:

  Product name: Compaq Presario CQ57 301SA

  Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

  My problem is that whenever I try to boot my laptop with only the battery as energy source, it does not start. The equipment starts and everything, but displays only a black screen. No flashing in the keyboard and the power led is displayed.

  If I plug in charger and connect it to the laptop, which is the only time that the contineus to laptop to display the startup process.

  At first I thought that there may be a problem in the battery, but it is completely charged (100%), said the HP battery check is OK, and whenever I remove the charger after startup and the logon Windows stage, the laptop does not turn off.

  Just for the background story: I recently sent my HP laptop for hardware failure and they replaced my motherboard. When I picked up, they turned on without the charger plugged and it starts up successfully. When I turned it on in my own home, this happens.

The document is 4 x 6 and I am printing paper is 4 x 6. I want the impression to be borderless, but when I print there is always a white border all around the document.   I noticed your post to try to print 4 x 6 borderless.

  I would suggest clicking on ' file, format and make sure that the device Photosmart 5520 is selected and not "any printer".» You can also try printing from a program different all together (ex: try a program preinstalled on the Mac).

  -Create the update model

  -remove the link 1. Initial model EP

  -delete this 1. SP (this helps to release all the values in the pool)

  -create new MS to model update (it will inherit above pool values)

  -Repeat for all AOCS

  I did this several times without problem (for example, no need to change the zoning of FC). Of course it is disruptive, by blade and SP.

  Don't know if this unbind / bind procedure works without reserves.

  Thanks for posting these screenshots. I checked with our Library Manager, and the smelter changed the names of fonts PostScript for Bernina without digests; new files have been added to Typekit on 10 August. When you resynced policies recently, you would have received these new files with the updated PostScript names. (Font names do not change often, but it is sometimes necessary for the Foundry update files.)

  Once you have updated the file to use the new font names, the software automatically finds the files just go forward.

  We will work on how we can improve this in the future, so that the software can match the correct font with a similar name. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I'm sorry for the interruption of your workflow.

• How downgrade to El Capitan without having in the Mac App Store

  Hello! I'm completely new to Mac and for this forum. Coming from Windows, I found the keyboard a bit confusing. So I installed carabiner, which most of the time worked like a charm.

  Then there was a notification update to Mac OS Sierra. So I did. And now the carabiner is broken. In addition, the trackpad scroll is annoyingly slow, and I realized that I just liked El Capitan more generally.

  But since I got the Mac with El Capitan, I don't have in my list of purchased on the App Store. So where can I find an official download to create installation media, and then reinstall El Capitan (which, as far as I KNOW, is the only way to "downgrade" a Mac if I have no backup of before)? I have no personal files on Mac yet, so I don't mind erase the drive.

  Before the OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 version update, I was able to charge my phone while my Macbook Pro was in mode 'sleep' / with the lid closed.   Try a different USB port. There is only 1 USB port can charge the iPhone when the lid closed.
