Purge of backlight W530

Hi all

Today, I noticed some light bleeding on my laptop W530 only in so far as I know, had not been there before. Everyone knows this? I guess I'm more concerned with it gets worse over time, given that when I first had the laptop about a year ago and half the screen was impeccable. The screen is full HD.

See the photo here

Thank you!

I get the purge in the same place on all 3 of my W530 with FHD if I look at the screen at this angle. In fact, most screen would show bleeding at this angle.

It is quite normal, as you really look at your LCD screen at this angle? Because if you do, the screen would also inversion of light color.

  • Purge of backlight screen

I just bought a new U2414h and I noticed a white spot on the lower left side whenever I display photos more dark or even when the monitor turns off. This problem is visible under a condition look a weirdo and even if the backlight is completely upwards or downwards. I know that IPS monitors have the inherent problem of backlight bleeding, uneven, but I think it's much more than the average.

This problem is seen even when the cable from port Dell display (what I usually use) is disconnected, it is not my computer. This problem is seen during the diagnosis, in fact, the following photos were taken using the tool that changes my screen to different colors.

    KaeporaG,

This monitor conforms to the specifications of the manufacturer for difference in backlight. But since you are within the initial 30 days from the date of invoice, you can return it for credit. If you support you want to return, they can offer you a new Exchange as a compromise.

  • Update of the purge U3014 backlight issue?

    Chris,

I followed the U3014 because it was announced in February and the last point keeps me buying one is the backlight bleed which is seriously worse then the U3011. In this thread: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19513942.aspx you said that the issue has been reassigned to support a few months ago. What is the most updated on the issue? The next revision of monitor (A04) will fix this problem?

    Thank you

    Fix.

  • HP ENVY notebook: Purge display backlight

I bought this laptop and after I opened the box, I went for a video to see the display features. Then I noticed that there are white Spots\Screen bleeding on the edges of the screen. I have returned the laptop to the dealer and he told me it was not a fault or defect and that it would not change. Simply, they do not accept that it is an acceptable condition to replace the laptop. He agrees that this happens to a lot of products and he knew that it was the issue in its many products, but refused to return. I need advice...

  • Backlight serious bleeding on 40L7355DB

Just opened my new TV last night, it's my LCD Toshiba 3rd in a row, I update usually about every 4-5 years...

Everything on TV is fantastic apart from the ruined backlight bleeding around the edges and also a few fixes to the middle. I got a fully backlit system for the quality of the image, is it normal that this is the case?

It is at risk of completely backlit? Is the hardware or software problem? A firmware update would do the trick? Can someone jump in and help?

    Thanks for reading.

    > Everything on TV is fantastic apart from the ruined backlight bleeding around the edges and also a few fixes to the middle.

I realize that there could be several reasons for the purge of backlight (fatal, flashlighting, etc.). According to my experience all LED and LCD TVs will have some effects of clouding because it is a common side effect of this technology.
In most cases, you could reduce this cloudiness trying to play with the display settings. Generally, this should help to reduce these effects to min.

If not, you could ask a technician to view and check the TV Panel

  • U2414H backlight bleed

My new U2414H I have a mass purge of backlight. The previous was already exchanged cause there was also a mass purge of backlight. Right now I don't know what do more. Here are pictures of the monitor. When I play games or watch a movie, the light is quite visible on dark images and it bothers my eyes.

The brightness of this photo is on 35

    [img] http://i.imgur.com/cHVoWGR.jpg [line]

And on this one is failing 75

    [img] http://i.imgur.com/ubmPpyq.jpg [line]

I would say it is out of our specifications from manufacturer of uniformity of the backlight. But, understand, we do not have a 100% guarantee of same backlight uniformity. The sides and the corners will be different from that of the centre. All you can do is keep doing exchanges.

  • U2913WM backlight bleeding

    Hello

Ive got myself one of these 'affordable' ultra wide gems. They have really beautiful colors, sharpness, usability etc.  But until you have something really dark night on them = C.

Short background: Ive branch a week ago and found out that after the warm-up (say 2 hours), boring backlight bleed appears down right next to the buttons. Ive called Dell Support me am replacement, they mail send again and the next DAY same courier picks up an old.

Left monitor is NEW REPLACEMENT, everything is 'old', I bought the week.

    http://postimg.org/Gallery/dpxp93e/91f1a32f/

Apartment minor backlight bleed all around them (Yes, technology), they both weird 'feature' of the purge of backlight next to the buttons (bottom right), which will appear after good warm-up! And left a (replacement) is slightly visible even in Office work as dark-VisualStudio etc.
To comment on my pictures, it's difficult to take realistic pictures, IPS glow really take in the way here, I tried my best with the Nokia N8. However you will see in the movies dark night. Two low bleeding are caused by the bottom edge, in my humble OPINION preasuring show slightly inward. It spoils a bit otherwise nice monitors. And Yes both having beside yeach other even for a night makes you immunne against doubt if you chose a "too large", its awesome.
So my question is what do you think? I'm whiney?

TLDR: Left a replacement, right 'old of the week' a. What do you think?

    Edit: link

    g0r4k,

We do not test/measure our monitors in a dark room. We use standard office lighting. But, according to photos, it is within our specifications from manufacturer for difference in backlight.

  • iPhone 7 screen purge / uneven edge of the screen

I noticed on a background of intermediate color as the backlight on my 32 GB iPhone Black 7 is uneven on the right side of the screen and I see dark spots 7 or 8, almost like a series of rectangles will light dark light dark. You don't see them on a white background or against black, but only against colors flat (a gray screen at 50% for example).

ITI is particularly notable, if I pull the low notification Center or go to multitasking where the wallpaper becomes a pale blur.

I tried to capture on camera as best as I can as shown on the attached photo (ignore the white line of thinking above).

I don't know what is my best option, because stocks appear to be low, so I can't even order a new and send that back as the day 14 return policy runs out next Friday and another would not happen for 2-3 weeks. I can't imagine having enough stock to swap Apple stores either.

I was wondering what think and what would be the best course of action.

Given that I can't edit my original post, I would also like to add:

These are dark spots certainly that the screen is uniformly bright above and below the area as apposed to bright spots that you wait with purge of 'normal' screen).

Scroll the app facebook for example, you notice that it is when an image that goes to the edge of the screen and you saw a difference subtle when the image scrolls clear/dark areas.

  • Replacing the keyboard by UK one AMERICAN w530

I bought a w530 to the United States and wants to replace the keyboard with a good UK one. The original United States one was not backlit - can I simply replace with a backlit UK one? Is integrated into the keyboard backlight?

It is important to buy these two? :-

Yes you can. The cable connector is the same.

I had a look at the list of the party, they are the same UK keyboard by two different parts provider.

  • W530 nonbacklit backlit keyboard upgrade

    Hey people,

I bought a little used W530 back this summer. I love this thing, it has all the power I need for one SSD + extension of 1 TB HDD, 1080 p screen, etc.. Check all the boxes in what I want in a laptop. The only thing that I forgot to check on was backlit keyboard... and of course, he does have one. It was fine without it, but at Christmas to come, I can going to enjoy the upgrade. I saw the backlit keyboard for sale on ebay on other sites and confirmed the swap is physically possible, but I have not heard if there is nothing you need to do to physically install. For example, right now FN + space the lights to think; with the backlit keyboard, I think this activates the backlight. The thinkpad will automatically perform this when the keyboard is installed or I have to update the BIOS or something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

My w530 came with a keyboard not backlit. I bought one on ebay, swap took three minutes, and no updates or other actions are required. FN + space works as before, it passes between the backlight (two levels), thinklight and turned off.

  • Just unpacked my set of three U2713HM monitors and they suffer from horrible yellow backlight bleeding

I'm looking for help on some questions with my 3 new monitors Dell U2713HM. They all suffer bleeding strong backlight yellow in the low left corner. 2 monitors, you can also see a few on top/top right. If it was just normal white bleeding I could swallow, but this affects the image quality when the games, watching a movie or image display. It is also visible hatching effect on them, but that I'm not too concerned about. Even in bright transom, the purge and image change is observable. I have pictures of the problem as well in a dark room to show better on camera, as well as with a bright light to show that it is always present. I also have a copy of the image on the screen and used for the test. Please advise on the next step. It is a fairly expensive purchase and I can't settle for such a quality of image.

Tous3 are almost PERFECT! It's so awesome! I'm really excited. You have no idea how frustrated and crazy, I was when I opened first my original set and wanted to crush. This justifies my expenses and restore my faith in Dell. I have never owned all Dell monitors, but had always heard the best reviews on the Ultrasharp series. My first experience was full of disappointment, but things are on the right track now!

Thanks for taking care of me! You have definitely won yourself a new loyal customer. Thank you also for your Poorna the Customer Service representative who handled my case. She has done very well, convinced me to try a new game despite already purchsed one set of Asus 1440 p monitos. She took the time to listen and understand my concerns and the situation, she offered me a fair compensation and promised me that I will not be disappointed with my next batch. She mentioned that they would be personally tested for issues I mentioned. I don't know if this is the case, but in any event, she made a promise and you guys delivered. Now, I just need to redirect the old game and return the other monitors where I have been.

    Thank you!

  • Keyboard backlight stopped working under the sierra of the bone

    Hello

I just upgraded my macbook air to El Capitan in Sierra.

Most applications seem to work. However, I cannot switch on my keyboard backlight more - f5 and f6 keys simply do not work.

I couldn't find incorrect or missing settings in the menu setup.

Does anyone have a tip how to solve the problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

    Arne

    Hi arneay,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. Sorry to hear that you experience this problem with your MacBook Air after a recent upgrade. If you encounter unexpected behavior of your keyboard backlight, you can try to reset the controller (SMC) steering system, as described in the following article:

  • In the Sierra how to purge the Macintosh HD

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, early 2013) and am upgrading of El Cap of Sierra.

If you look closely at the screenshot above, you can see a small white-with-gray-striped section. This is what Apple calls Purgeable, and it indicates that these are really old files that you possibly can archive, save it in the cloud or delete to free up storage space.

You need to do the above manually

  • How to force the data purge

I'm trying to free up space on my internal hard drive so I can use boot camp (needs 50 GB, has of 30 GB free) its saying that the use of the system on my hard drive went from 50 to 90 GB, is this normal and he'll come back down again?

If you use Time Machine, it will make the snapshots which eventually get merged into the TM backup. The used space is supposed to automatically purge if necessary, but there are reports that stuck. If you temporarily disable TM, it must remove the local snapshots. However, I do not know if this is actually what caused the outbreak of its use.
