  I am owner of a Qosmio F10-122 with TV tuner and I really need HELP. I'm Italian.

  The questions are:

  I did some testing and I can tell you about my experience on Qosmio G20.

  1. as far as I know early versions of Qosmioplayer did not have the registration option but now I hope that your preinstalled version has REC option. If so, please be sure that you have about 5 GB of free space for the recorded material.

  It is not important what signal is sent to your Qosmio (TV or VCR VHS-connected) you can find it if you look at the channels. With REC option, you can save what you want. I tested it with my VCR VHS and I recorded some old movies. This material was recorder und great quality was the same as on cassettes. After recording, I started Windows MCE and transferred the material recorded in Windows using Qosmio player utility.

  I have not tried, but I put t think you will be able to record audio using only Qosmioplayer.
  2. you can record movies VHS if you connect your VCR VHS on the Qosmio using the antenna cable. Launch Media center Edition (TV option) and scan channels. In my case, I could watch movies VHS on MCE on channel 31. Using REC option you can save all documents of video cassettes. Later, you can change the recorded material and create own DVDs. It really isn't a problem.

  Your audio Home Audio recording can be a bit more problematic, and if you want it to be on the professional path you will need a device external and of course some professional recording software.
  3. I don't know what to write here. Just try to do what I already descriebed under 1 and 2.

• Media Center and ATI TV Wonder 600 PCI

  I installed an ATI TV Wonder 600 PCI card in Vista Home Prem 32-bit edition.  I installed the latest 01/10 ATI drivers.  While setting up Windows Media Center, said the card is not supported in this area (Canada).  It's funny, I bought it in Vancouver.  I ran the configuration by ATI Catalyst TV program and it worked.  I went back into the Media Center and he accepted the Canada as a regional parameter is valid.  Media Center worked for 2 days, buy yesterday I went to watch TV and could not find my TV tuner card.  Restarted my computer (cold start) and he finds the TV card but I had to re-run the installation program, I don't know why.  Now, it is said the Canada is not a region supported by this map.  It works in catalyst program (terrible picture and sound) and it works in Nero Live.  Why not in Media Center (the best quality of image and sound)?  My regional settings are set to Canada, what is happening?

  What is a hybrid tuner, and if so, you are trying to configure it to ATSC (digital terrestrial) or QAM (unencrypted digital cable)? Unfortunately, Windows Media Center does not support ATSC or QAM tuning to the Canada. This isn't as far as I know, for technical reasons, which is why the tuner can work in the third-party software, but not Microsoft.

  Found the problem, at least for me anyway.  I had to disable my internet connection shared on my Windows 7 computer.  Once I disabled internet sharing it worked like a charm.

  I am including instructions below a scan to help repair the system files related to some components of Windows, including Windows Media Center, and Windows Media Player.

  Repair Windows Vista Media Center files

  You can use the following steps to repair files that are part of Windows Vista Media Center:

  1. click on the Start menu, choose all programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the item to the command prompt and select run as administrator

  2. click on continue to allow it to open a prompt with administrator privileges

  3. run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc/scannow

  4. the cmd prompt should list text stating "start system analysis. This process will take time. »

  5. wait for the scan to complete (this may take several minutes, so be patient).  This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace the incorrect versions by appropriate Microsoft versions

  6. once the analysis is complete, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found no problems and whether or not he was able to correct

  7. If any errors are reported that SFC could not resolve, there are steps in this knowledge base article which explain how to locate and attempt to correct errors

  8. after fixing errors that are found, try to use Windows Vista Media Center again.

  Fix Windows Vista Media Center registry entries

  Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fix key/registry values that are installed by Windows Vista, as there are files.  If you want to try to repair the registry values/keys that are part of Windows Vista Media Center, you will need to re-run the installer of Windows Vista operating system and repair the operating system.

  Media Center will not sync music!

  I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing.  Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.

  As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.

  You can try the following steps and check the result:

  Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.

  a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

  b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

  The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:

  Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.

  This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.

  Follow these steps:

  1. exit Windows Media Player.

  2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

  3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

  Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  4. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

  I am running Windows 7-64 bit. I have set up my Media Center and the folder where are all my songs. Then, I used the Media Center Extender to connect to my xbox. I went on the xbox and liked my music through my sound system.

• Configure the Media Center with TV combo tuner

  I'm trying to set up Media Center (Vista Home Premium) to recognize the analog part of my TV Wonder ATI 750USB tuner. Support page of Windows says ther is a fix. However, the services are not available and there is no indication when they will be available. Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution. ? If you have, I would be grateful if you could share it with me.

• Windows 7, Windows Media Center and the library of music/photos/videos folders

  I like the 'Libraries' feature in Windows 7.

  You know the one - one which includes "Public Images" and "My pictures" and what I want in a single 'Photos' folder in Explorer.

  However, it looks like Windows Media Center is tired directly according to the definitions in the library of my user id.

  If I remove 'My pictures' library of Windows Media Center, or even from my XBox 350 Media Center Extender in the living room.  It removes a library of images for my UserID on the PC.

  It's embarrassing. Because, in general, I want only the media center to search for media in public folders. But when records navigation using windows Explorer that I want to see too well 'My' and 'Public' files aggregated in libraries as usual.

  To sum up: how to configure Media Center to analyze only the public folders without changing the definitions of on my PC library to contain only public folders?

  If this can be done - can I at least do so the Extender sees only public folders and not mine, once it is configured? (I figured out how to do this, but it's a pain - add a new user name to the computer - configure the Extender by using that user - and then the extender will see not all documents under MY personal login at least.)

  Hello. Media Center works fine, until I installed ipod and player quick time which is part of the itunes put in place.

  Now DVD will play is no longer in the media library. I just get a blank black screen. I tried to change settings in quick time player and entered my types of file, computer, tools, folderoptions to see QT's striking anything, it shouldn't, but no joy at all.

• Qosmio F10-36: drive problem HARD and Qosmio player installation

  I bought the Qosmio F10-36, made in Germany for the Russia and CIS. After that 6 months, it was repaired due to problems with the motherboard, it was totally changed in the video card and now there are problems with the hard drive after the start of the very slow work computer and finallly collapsed.
