Qosmio F30: Driver WDM Video IN for the VfW capture?

Someone Toshiba read these forums?

Is there any hope that Toshiba can rewrite the pilot for the composite 'Video IN' material so that it works correctly under Windows and Video For Windows driver model so that it can be used with Windows Media Encoder, please?

I bought this F30 on the basis, he had a built-in video port, but to my horror it won't work with Windows Media Encoder. I also read on these forums that other people have problems getting the 'video' in port to work with based video capture programs.

For such a machine, surely the 'in video' should function as a good piece of hardware VfW.

Can't wait to hear the answer.
Tim.

Hi Tim

I put t believe that some technicians Toshiba will read this because this is a user forum. In any case, I did some experiments with Qosmio G20 and composite in the port. I tested with VCR VHS and Sam receiver.

I noticed that on some applications of external devices are not recognized as a video source. I also tested my camcorder with firewire port and it works perfectly with each video editing applications.

What video source you want to use?

No, it has nothing to do with updates of Adobe. There is a problem with your video card driver.

Go directly to the Web site of the manufacturer of the GPU for updates (not Microsoft, not a System Builder).

  • Using your computer to video processing for the web

    Hello

I've heard of some people, I really trust and respect that we should never use your video server for any other purposes other than the video work.   They say that if you are using other applications, including the use of the Internet, it is systematically to mess things up in the long run.

I want to do the right thing.  But I have to admit, it's SO convenient to be able to encounter a problem in PrPro and just go online here and ask.

What should I do more?  They respect the point of view of the dedicated video machine?

    Thank you

    Matt Dubuque

    Matt,

Which can spoil things is the first of all the games and second Microsoft Office. Internet is not a problem. Many other programs cause any problems either.

I'll give you an example. On my video machine, I have several versions of the workshop of the Master Collection and Production. When I need to update the reference PPBM, I need to access my G-mail with bid forms. I need to download the submitted data and files with Filezilla, store on a server, as well as another system to import them in the Excel worksheet. Save the worksheet again on the server, then the video machine change the pages with a few VBS scripts, edit them in Dreamweaver and download them again on the Web site, including updated graphics to date with Filezilla. To view these pages, I use IE, Chrome and FF on my video machine and perform the optimizations with Firebug and PageSpeed.

In addition, I sometimes use TeamViewer to help others in my video machine for the simple reason that it has enough real estate screen with two monitors to easily see the computer on the other side. I've no problem with this kind of applications on the video machine.

    So, don't worry about it.

  • Qosmio F30 - how to get started using the external CD/DVD drive?

    Hello Mr President

I have a Qosmio F30. My CD/DVD drive does not work. I have the USB CD/DVD drive, but I think that F30 does not support external USB CD/DVD drive to boot to the top.

Please help me. Now, how can I boot Windows XP CD?

At first, I must say that I really wonder why you do not have something to trade integrated optical drive. Qosmio F30 is not that old laptop and is perhaps the warranty still valid. You should check with the partner of service authorized in your country.

For start with external peripheral is not so easy because the external drive doesn't recognize started upward. Theoretically you should either external ODD visible to your Qosmio. For older laptop, it is possible if you start Notepad in pilot mode and load BACK to BACK. After doing this you have access to the external hard drive and can start the installation.

You can do this with your Qosmio laptop?

  • Qosmio F30-127 is unable to read the Vista upgrade disc

    Hi guys,.

    I have a Toshiba Qosmio F30 (127) with the standard front load Mat * a DVD-RAM (model UJ-846) Player.

I have for months without any apparent problem burn a variety of CD DVD & (R/RW) and recently received my expected Vista Express Upgrade DVD which I assume adopts the format DVD RAM.

After the upgrade of the BIOS to v3.4, I successfully installed upgrading startup, but only one of the hard drives (RAID) which has been recognized in my windows session (with the recoil, I would simply have used administrative tools > computer management > disk management) ;-(

I reinstalled XP using the recovery disks provided original in preparation to retry the Vista upgrade a 2nd time to correct the alleged no recorded 2nd hard drive.

However, on the startup of XP, the Vista Upgrade DVD doesn't have to be recognized at startup (i) or (ii) in the case of a Windows session, without a visible change in the drive icon to indicate the usual recognition.

If I try to double click on the drive icon, I get the error message:

"D:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.

I have read a number of threads of support which advises: (i) changing some registry keys, which seem to be unnecessary following a procedure of recovering costs of system; (ii) the transfer mode to DMA to PIO on the primary IDE channel in Manager devices, and (iii) the offending disk and IDE/ATAPI controllers Device Manager uninstall followed by a restart of switching. I tried (ii) & (iii) independently several times resulting in Windows Installer automatically the drivers for the hardware newly found followed by a final reboot, but the Enigma DVD persists.

I tried to install the latest drivers for the DVD RAM driver, including vF103 firmware update in the Toshiba download pages, but the status quo remains.

Ideas or current symptoms are swinging more and more towards the likely hardware malfunction?

    Thanks for listening...

For me, it looks like a hardware problem, maybe the lens of the player is not clean or not can not calibrate correctly in the right position

But try first to remove the drive from Device Manager and restart the laptop.
The operating system should recognize what it again automatically. If you want to read from this CD, and then try again.

If she will not change the situation, then I presume that it s a failure of the equipment.

  • I have to restart Qosmio F30-127 in order to recognize the inserted disks

I have the Qosmio F30 127, which has the CARPET * A DVD RW. Very often, however, it does not recognize the fact that there is a disc in the drive. I have to restart for the DVD to recognize the inserted disc.

If a disc is placed in the slot, shortly after starting it is correct until an attempt to use a different disk.
This is a common problem or any other agency knows this and if so what is the fix?

I put t think that it s a common problem.
Always it is that readers do not each CD/DVD support and sometimes such disorders.
Try to remove the drive from Device Manager and restart the laptop. After the reboot, the drive should be recognized again. Check if there is no change.
Check that you have installed the firmware. Maybe a new available on the Toshiba page.

Pleas help me, my laptop is Qosmio F30. All of a sudden when I turned on my laptop, the green pixels appeared on my screen and could not go to Windows.

I look it as a problem with VGA, but it can show perfect windows color flag when it came to Windows.

    Please help me...

    > I that it was a problem with VGA, but it can display the perfect windows color flag when he entered for Windows
I m interesting in your state.

Are you able to connect in windows; Yes or no?

I don't know if this problem could be related to dysfunction of the m graphic card or display.

It would be advisable to connect the laptop to the external display to make sure if the same would appear on the second monitor.
If so, then a problem of graphics card would be possible

Anyway, in both cases the ASP must be contacted because the defective part must be replaced if it s a hardware problem

    Hi ALI IBRAHEM,.

If I understand you correctly, HD video playback problem has been resolved by installing the driver Pack for the user installing Intel.

To control the imaging (Webcam) of Windows 8 machine does not need to install the camera application. Windows 8 operating system has 'Camera' app. You can access the application 'Camera' of the start screen. In case you are not able to see the application of the 'Camera' on the start screen, you can download it "Windows Store Apps".

    • In the start screen, click the tile 'Camera' to open the application
    • If the app invite you to use your camera and microphone, choose "allow".
    • Adjust the settings, if desired
    • To take a picture, click anywhere on the screen
    • The camera app saves all your loving photos and videos in a folder called "Camera Roll" in your photo library.

Answer please if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to help you.

    Hello

After getting my laptop to my daughter I find that I can not connect to Internet. I can see the circles wireless and my Modem sky on it, but when I try to double click with the 'hand', nothing happens.

I ran the program of connectivity doctor and he also tells me that I can not connect. Sorry I seem vague, but it seems so close and yet so far. I know I should put in my unlock key sky, but I need to be educated on how to use the Configfree software.

    Hello

Your ad is a bit confusing

Your wireless network adapter appears in Device Manager correctly or you see a yellow exclamation mark on it?
In your case, I would try to update the driver. You can download the latest version on the Toshiba site.

Did you check if your wireless network card is enabled? Therefore, use the key combination hardware switch a FN + F8.

By the way: that Qosmio F you have exactly?
