Re: How to reconfigure the remote control for Qosmio F50?
Hello
I have a Qosmio F50, which came with a standard remote control for applications like media library etc, how do I reconfigure the keys to do exactly what I want it to do?For example the button power on the remote control to completely stop the machine instead of standby
Thank you
DanHello Dan
Why do you think something like this is possible? What is this described in s operating manuals.
If something like this can be done, it must be described in the manuals? In 10 years Toshiba has offered several different notebooks with the remote, but something like this was never possible and remote control buttons were always with defined function.
You have some really cool ideas. -

Qosmio F50-114 - why 32 Bit OS came preinstalled
Toshiba cheated me or my dealer don't?
When I buy my Qosmio F50 - 114, the specification says it boasts a 64-bit support but the system now 32-Bit
Does that mean I can go to 64 bit or is it finished? If so what I have to do?
Thanks much for all support.
Hey Buddy
Of course the Qosmio F50-114 supports Vista 64-bit.
I think you're a bit confusedIt was equipped with the Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor that supports the 64-bit feature and also the drivers 64 bit Toshiba Vita will be released in the near future.
This is why 64-bit is certainly supported. But that doesn't mean that this laptop or other portable which supports the 64 bit of Vista are preinstalled with this OS.
As much as I know about all the series the 32 bit OS has been pre-installed, but of course, you can install your own Vista 64 bit OS (not upgrade but new installation)!

Re: Qosmio F50 - new display driver for Vista 32 bit?
Hello
I just want to ask you if it is not no matter what most recent display for my laptop driver: Qosmio f50 - 125 K - vista windows 32 that on the Web page is very old:
Date last modified 07/28/08
NVidia company
Type display driverAre there any recent?
Thank youHello
This seems to be a newer driver for this laptop.
Of course you can use the drivers from other sources such as laptopvideo2go.com page but these drivers can be used only at your own risk because these drivers does not control the GPU heat dissipation and could lead to damage GPU.Welcome them

Qosmio F50 - 10K - multimedia keys are not lit
According to my topic
"" Qosmio F50 - 10K - replaced by Qosmio F60-126? ".
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=59934&TSTART=0I had problems with my laptop, located at the Nvidia 9600 M GT graphics according to Toshiba service. They changed the graphics card with a new one today and so far everything is going very well and smooth. He collapsed again. Time will tell whether or not it returns to his old ways.
In any case, after I took up my F50 - 10K I noticed that the indicators for media buttons (Play / Pause, Stop, Dolby, etc) are not lit. The buttons work fine, but they are not on. All other indicators (the light bar on the touchpad, the volume light) and the power light work fine. There is a button to deactivate/activate the indicators, but it does not work for media indicators.
Before giving my laptop to the service of all the indicators were at work. Now, the indicators of media came out. No idea how to re-enable?
Hi Jwrath,
I doubt s a hardware problem because they do not work properly and the lit / functions are controlled by added value package. In your case, I recommend reinstall Toshiba Value added Package from the official website of Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversRemove the VAP, restart the computer and install the new VAP software.
In addition, check the BIOS. I don't know if there is an option for Mr. lighting if so, enable it and that s.

Qosmio F50-108: How do I use the NVIDIA SLI technology
I own a laptop Qosmio F50-108 and it has a Nvidia GeForce 9700 M GTS graphics card that supports NVIDIA Sli technology.
How to use this feature?
Hello
AFAIK your Qosmio model was equipped with card NVIDIA GeForce 9700 GTS * M * graphics chip.
It should support the PureVideo HD, HybridPower, etc.The HybridPower is a switch between performance or battery life.
If you need more graphics power, you can turn it on and if the graphic power is not needed, you could disable to extend the battery working time.AFAIK the HybridPower can be enabled in Vista manually Power Options in Vista and in according to some gossip in the next time that the nVidia driver should control this function automatically. But these are only a few gossip that I found on various Web sites.
Maybe this can be useful:

Need to WIn8.1 webcam driver for Qosmio F50-108
Hi all!

As much as I know Toshiba does not have webcam driver for Win8/Win8.1.

Problem on the Qosmio F50 - 10Z card reader
I had this problem for a while, he started with the original OS Vista 32-bit, so I decided to buy the cd to upgrade toshiba for windows 7, after the update level, everything worked fine, except for the card reader, regardless of how many times I have installed/uninstalled, installed the driver, it wouldn't work!
So I used the recovery cd, not once BUT TWICE, and nothing helps I sent to repair.
I received a message on a piece of paper telling me that it would work on the original operating system, I thought that they had something fixed.
Then I used the recovery cd AGAIN and to my excitement thrown short to see any yellow explanation points I put a micro sd card (2 GB) that worked when I bought this laptop first and got no response.
The biggest problem is that my warranty is now closed!, so basically, I've been HIT MORE, cause the memory card slot does NOT WORK and it wasn't a software problem!Any reccomendations?
Hi karimtarek,
Which driver version you are using on Vista and Windows 7? My Qosmio F50 is running Windows 7 and I m using the version of the driver on Toshiba page 1.00.29.02.
You use the same version? In addition, it would be interesting to know if the SD card has worked once you have received the notebook service center back. Have you tested before or did you start installation recovery immediately?
Have you tried different brands of SD cards? I always use the SanDisk Extreme cards because they did not no problem.
In addition, you could try updating the BIOS. Maybe this works if you are using an older versionLast but not least if it s does not always work and you think that it s a hardware malfunction, ask at the center of service again. If you speak a bit with technicians, maybe they can fix it as a gesture of goodwill.
Good luck! :)

Little help for a Qosmio F50 and win 8 is required
Hello
I have an old Qosmio F50 and since he still has enough power to manage Windows 8 I decided to give it a try. What I did is a clean install of WIN 8 x 64 pro and I used a mixture of various models of Toshiba drivers and third parties. The results were not bad, since everything works except for a weird thing.
Specifically, I used:
-Drivers of the Chipset V, 9.4.0.1022 directly from Intel.
-V with Toshiba HD processor driver, 1.0.2.71
-Enecir v. 2.7.4.1 drivers
-Realtek High definition audio drivers R271
V battery Bluetooth 8.00.12 (T)
-VGA Nvidia 320.49 drivers
-ALPS V8.x0.303.206 drivers for the touchpad
-Camera assistant software v 1.7.260.0526L (a bit unstable and settings reset every now and then, but always functional.) The most recent camera app couldn't handle the old Chicony)
-Everything was provided by Windows Update. And finally, I used:
Toshiba 1.00.6626.06 function key, cards Flash 1.51.8.2C (version b) .and v.1.3.3.64 SpecApp.exe (aka the button support)The only problem I have is with the touch media buttons. While working as it should and I can remap them with the SpecApp.exe very well, they do a crazy thing:
Sometimes, as well as the proper functioning of the button will open also calculator of windows which is quite annoying. I tried many things including the search in the registry, but I couldn't find a way to solve it, so if someone could help that would be great.Other than this problem, everything works just perfect, including all FN keys.
Thank you for reading and if you have an idea I'm all ears.
It is always a challenge to such experiences as new installation OS on an old machine and unsupported. Let's see if someone else with the same machine had success with Win8.
Anyway, there is always something that will not work correctly. The key is that most of the stuff works well, so if you will not be able to find the solution for touch buttons, in my view, that it's not so bad.

TOSHIBA Power Saver for Qosmio F50?
I am owner of a Qosmio F50-108 and I can't seem to find Power Saver utility from TOSHIBA.
What is the same thing that the utility options of power on the control panel? I've seen screenshots of power saver utility from Toshiba which is supposed to be delivered pre-installed on their laptops, but the one I saw was on a Qosmio G10.
The series F50 there as well? If Yes, where can I find it?
Hello!
As far as I know that the Qosmio F50 comes with Windows Vista and not XP.
TOSHIBA Power Saver is only available for Windows XP because Vista has the same functions as energy savings. The energy saving features are now an integral part of Vista.
I've created an interesting article here in the forum for you:

Qosmio F50-114 - how to use the video cable?
Hello
I have a Qosmio F50-114.
I want to capture video via the video cable supplied with the computer. The computer came with a video component cable software plug-in (1 x 3, 5mm - 3xRCA white/red/yellow). The only place in the manual stating that cable is the only a-in-the-box-section.
On my old Qosmio F20, I had a specific connector for the video cable component software plug-in. There is no specific 3, 5mm connector so I suspect that I have to join one of the IR ports, or one of the audio-connectors (?).
Looking forward to a response.
/ DanielHey,.
Don t get me wrong, but I'm 99.9% sure that there is no video port on Qosmio F50. As far as I know that these books are not available, they have a video output only, port but not port of entry to capture video.
So you mixed up something I thinkWhat you may be hearing is integrated TV Tuner, but on this port you can only record videos from DVB - T signal.
