  I recently purchased a Qosmio G30-102 with nVIDIA GeForce Go 7600. In Chapter 6 of the manual, it refers to the utility of photo as part of the QosmioEngine installation development. • Qosmio G30 - 102 screen completely disappeared

  I read a lot of messages about the green lines, white spot, and blue screens. However my laptop screen has taken a step beyond that and stopped working!

  I have a Qosmio G30 102. I was playing a game (use high amounts of graphics) when suddenly the screen went. I restarted the computer, but it came with the different colors of the Rainbow (green lines, would change to a completely white screen). The problem was once windows starts to load than the screen turns off. I used the function keys to review the settings of the screen (if you want it to be double screen, connected to the LCD tv), but nothing would work.

  I decided to restart the laptop, but it now came with windows not stopped correctly and gave me the options to start the computer and had pixels all messed up (some letters were missing), windows, put in place would not work after the reboot because the screen turns off.

  So now, the laptop is just left with a blank screen. I can't install windows and my warranty is now sold out (ironically just 1 month ago: S)

• Qosmio G30 - 102 error display

  In the space of one morning my LCD screen went from showing slight quirks to unusable as follows: Notebook details on foot.

  -Green mottled on Windows XP desktop background
  -restarted Windows XP OK todesktop, entire screen begins to blink on/off every few seconds, Win XP MCE booted up OK well
  -distortion of the images on the screen
  -now just blocks of color colours: white, green, cyan, flashing text etc.

  This is visible in the BIOS from Setup menu. Secure boot does not end

  Tried to output for external monitor, but not on a signal so not lock external of image at all.

  Enjoyed any insght on the problem. Not sure if chip screen or video. Is either a setting value when approximately 2.5 years.

  The BIOS is the original version 1.60 ACPI cannot see enough screen to try an update.

  I tried reinstalling all components - hard drives, RAM, took out battery ran on sector etc.

  Sorry, buddy, but this is not possible.
  You can use t as the screen of the laptop as a monitor. The laptop doesn't have a video input port, there is only for video output ports. This is the reason for this.

  So if you want a HD screen for your PS3, you will have to buy a monitor only. The laptop can be used for this.

  To upgrade RAM on my laptop, I used Kingston DDR2-667, and it works without any problems! :)

  Thus, you can use this module Kingston too but I guess that it runs only on due speed 533 MHz FSB of the processor limitation. You can check with a tool of information material such as Everest or PC Wizard 2008 for example the speed of the FSB.

  As far as I know, the laptop can be upgraded to 4 GB maximum RAM.

  I'm looking for audio signal through the built in coaxial to the GPA. No signal. When I go to sounds and Audio devices > advanced > Volume Control Panel /Properties there is no cursor for spdif badette, in the list of things to show in the advanced Panel, or a way to put in operation. Similarly, in sign of SigmaTel there no option to route via spdif.

  In addition, the advanced controls is grayed out in the Volume Control Panel.

  What did I miss? I can't for the life of understand me why there is no signal nor any how to activate spdif in this machine.

  In addition, in the Media control Devices Properties box, it is this list:

  To use this SPDIF you must connect the audio amp with the laptop via a special SPDIF cable.

  What you could do is to start the DirectX using the command; Dxdiag

  I have 2 x 840 Pro 256 GB SSD to install in my machine which usually runs two drives independently.

  I used the software to Clone of Samsun to clone my C drive which has XP on it.

  The cloning was successful.

  On the installation of the new SSD, it will be now does not start and keeps cycling to the F12 boot screen.

  I had a similar experience with an upgrade of the SSD.
  I used exactly the same software and has been able to clone partitions of HARD drive to SSD drive and my cell phone did not start the system from the SSD system partition.

  I figured out that the C: partition on the SSD was not marked as active.
  How I solved this?

  Well, I put the SSD in the 2.5 external USB enclosure. Then I booted the laptop using the old HDD. I connected the external SSD drive to the USB port.
  Then I went to Windows disk management and could activate the C partition on the SSD drive.
  Then I replaced the HARD drive with SSD and could boot. :)

  I have a problem with my computer where the Toshiba Service has replaced my motherboard. (a lack of display adapter).
  I now have the computer but the BIOS is very old, Version 1.90. I downloaded the latest version of the Toshiba site which is 3.90.
  When I try to update I get the message "error. BIOS update is failed. BIOS can not be upgraded on this configuration.

  I have Windows 7 and all run in administrator mode.
  I boot the WinPE CD, but still not able to do any update to the BIOS level.

  The old BIOS does not support USB boot and has other issues that make the upgrade, an important factor.

  An assumption I made is that the BIOS should be upgraded by small steps, i.e. the version of 1.60 to 1.70 etc until I arrive at 3.90.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Small problem, I decided to uninstall some toshiba that came with my laptop computer, like password utility and utility zoom and a little more that I don't remember.

  The problem is that now my HD DVD rom is not working and I can't find the correct driver for it. I tried the drivers toshibas site and searched the only thing I found was a driver DVD Ram I have re installed but that made no difference.

  I want to restart my laptop, so I can go back to the factory settings using my laptop efficiently even links (using the function key and selecting some features such as the brightness or Wireless on or off) not working again now.

  When I start the laptop, a message appears saying immediately * error * CD ROM, then windows will load.

  Someone please help me find the right HD DVD Rom driver or show me a way to restart the laptop without the need for the cd as an image in a rack or something!

  You n t need other drivers!

  If you CD/DVD drive don't appear in Device Manager and in the BIOS then it would mean that it is related to a hardware problem.
