Qosmio G40-126 - need AC adapter after turn on and Hibernate

I have a Qosmio G40-126. A few weeks back the keboard stopped to light blue. Now if I want to turn on or resumption of hibernation, I have to connect the laptop to the power source, even if the battery is fully charged. After I turn on I can continue on battery but I can't do anything until what I plug to the power supply to turn on. :_|

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi hqaddoumi,

Using original Toshiba adapter sector and battery Toshiba or any 3rd party?

What exactly happens if you try to start Notepad without adapter? It does not start and you get a blank screen or what else?

In my opinion, it could be a motherboard or a malfunction of the BIOS. In your case, I would try to update the BIOS. You can search for an update of the BIOS on the official website of Toshiba.

    Hello

I have a Qosmio G40-10th which has Windows Vista.
I want to switch to Windows XP but worry about what drivers I need and where can I get them?

Also, I wonder if XP installation means that I would be able to use the Vista recovery disk I got with the Qosmio.

    Any help is very appreciated,

    Hello

Go to the Toshiba driver page:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

And check if you have the drivers for win xp for your model, otherwise, it will be useless to install it.

For my laptop, I installed Vmware with windows xp inside environment.

  • Qosmio G40-127 - need windows XP drivers

    Hello.

I just got my new Qosmio G40 and I want to install Windows XP Pro / Media center on this issue. I know it's possible, but I want to know wich drivers to use in order to operate correctly. I already had drivers laptopvideo2go nvidia, realtek, and chipsetdrivers. I need webcam, wireless lan, TV tuner, etc..

Y at - there anyone out there who have a Qosmio G40-127 and made a WXP install and know where to find these drivers? I don't have not upgraded anything but RAM to 4 GB. Otherwise, it is like new.

    Thank you

    Hello

You are right. The XP drivers are not available at this time on the Toshiba driver page. I didn't find it too. Looks like we have to wait...

    But listen;
There are some XP drivers for another Qosmio series; G30 for example.
You can try to install these unique pilots because many laptops are equipped with the same features and drivers may work too.

The WLAN driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba WLan Portal:
    http://APS.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    like driver BT:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

The LAN driver can be downloaded from the Intel page because as far as I know LAN chip is an Intel 82566MC(Nineveh MC)

  • Qosmio G40 - 11Z - need info on spare part

    Hello everyone.

I recently bought an opportunity Qosmio G40 - 11Z that was supposed to be equipped with two hard drives. Built both on the HARD drive are very good, but I think that drives hard 'rack' is missing. As a result, the HARD disk is not protected against shocks and is very vague.
If any of you know where I could buy the basket that protect each HDD inside the G40?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Optionally, you can buy this part of the ASP in your country.
Guys can order Qosmio G40 compatible parts directly from the stock of head of Toshiba.

  • Media Center missing completely Windows 7 even after turning on and the features of windows

Media Center Windows 7 even completely missing after switch on and the features of windows.  windows edition version 64-bit home premium

Do you have Windows Media Center on this installation of Windows 7?

You have Windows 7 Edition home premium N which does not come with all the features of the Home Premium edition standard media? Please see:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/products/What-is-Windows-7-N-edition .

If you think that you should have it, try:

    1. open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and navigate to the folder:

    C:\Windows\ehome\

    2. search for a file named ehshell.exe (which is the executable for Windows Media Center file). If its there, you can just click on and select Pin to TaskBar or Start Menu, etc.

Can enter you the Bios (f2 at startup) to check if the HARD drive recognized. Also, try to reinstall Windows with a disk recovery or disk copy Windows.

  • Need advice on buying a Qosmio G20-126

    Hello world
I was just out of a shop of local electronics in a mall when I found a Toshiba Qosmio G20-126 for sale for $1361,47. And those are the specs for the laptop:

Processor: Intel Pentium Centrino M770 / 2.13 GHz data Bus speed: 533 MHz, 2 MB Cache memory
    RAM: 2 x 512 MB DDR II SDRAM - 533 MHz
    Storage: 2 X drive: 100 GB Serial ATA-150 - 5400 RPM
    CD-ROM: DVD ± RW (+ R double layer) / DVD-RAM
Type of card reader: 5 in 1 card reader, Blue Tooth, IR, remote control
Display screen: 17 "to matrix active TFT, maximum resolution: 1440 x 900 (WXGA +), support for color: 24-bit (16.7 million colors), TruBrite
Video card: 128 MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600 - PCI Express x 16

    I have a laptop LG - P1 and Ca? s Specifications:

Processor: Intel Core Duo L2400 1.83 GHz (Dual-Core), Memory Cache 2 MB
    RAM: 512 MB DDR II SDRAM - 667 MHz - PC2-5300
    Stroge: 80 GB - 4200 RPM
    CD-ROM: Double layer DVD-Writer
    Screen: 15.4 "active matrix TFT 1280 x 800 (WXGA)
Card reader 5 in 1, Bluesoul, a fingerprint reader, 5.1 CH sound, its SRS.
Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400 (256 MB) graphic card

Now, the sella? s man said that all parts of the G20 are dedicated and exactly similar to the parts office. Which means, I can upgrade the laptop normally as if I am upgrading a desktop computer (processor, sound, video card, Ram card). Is this true? And if so, can I replace my CD-ROM with a H-DVD it well? Finally buy the G20 or stick with my P1 do you recommend and why?

Please help, I'm waiting for your replays.

    Kind regards

    Hey Buddy,

You cannot upgrade the machine as a desktop computer. It s clearly not a desktop computer, it s a laptop.

You can upgrade your RAM and POSSIBLY (but it s not taken in charge by the manufacturer and you will lose your warranty) internal DVD drive.

    That's all.

    Greetings to you guys

Some forums are aware of this issue and tell me to remove the KB929777 patch first, but I cannot uninstall the present. (also error 'some' updates cannot not be deleted).

    Any suggestions?

Tried to contact Micrsoft but because OEM software... point me Toshiba...

  • LAN died after turning the Mode standby with Windows 7!

I have a motherboard Intel DX58SO with the last LAN driver v15.3.  After my computer goes to sleep and then he wakes up, back to the top of the LAN adapter is turned off and it won't work again until I restart my computer. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I was using Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit before with no problems. I did a fresh install of Win7 and not upgrade.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you for your help and your time!

Here is a copy of the email I got from the Intel Technical Support.  In fact, I solved the problem until I got the email. Decommissioning of the bios resolved the problem for me.

    Please contact Customer Support.

I understand the LAN adapter will extinguish after the system returns to "standby" mode on Windows 7 *.

In this case, we recommend test you the system with BIOS version 5200. Please perform a BIOS recovery to make the update. The file can be found at:http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18938&ProdId=3018&lang=eng

For the BIOS recovery instructions, please visit:http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-023360.htm

If the problem persists after using BIOS version 5200, please try to use driver version 14.6. You can find this driver to:

I had a similar problem several months ago on my laptop with the XP operating system preinstalled.

    The MS patch KB917332 helped.

  • Noisy fan - fan starts 15 minutes after turning on the Qosmio F10

My Qosmio F10 has always had a very noisy fan. The fan noise starts always 15 minutes after turning the PC on and stays of less regardless of what I do on the PC - even if this happens be nothing else!

I tried to change the battary cooling method optimized in the toshiba saving settings in an attempt to stop the fan coming on but any change of setting seems to have no effect on the fan. I did a search on these forums and found a link to the utility fan - but the link now appears to be dead and someone somewhere else also suggested update but tv pilots who did not work or the other. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this laptop less noisy?

It's all a bit frustrating saw I bought it to listen to music - and all you hear is the fan when the music calms down!

    Thanks in advance

Believe me that it is not unusual that the F10 is a laptop with a high GPU and CPU. These regions produce a lot of heat and it must be cooled!

Please don t compare mobile portable fans with the Qosmio. The Qosmio laptop properties resemble a PC and in my view a desktop PC is much stronger than the F10

  • Bluetooth icon tray disappears after turning off the USB bluetooth adapter in the system tray

You seem to have a problem with your bluetooth icon. If you cannot match something you can try to remove the device and then put it back. I tried it didn't work. Then, you may need to disable bluetooth adapter on the icon. But if you do that you cannot turn it back on because the bluetooth icon status bar disappears when the adapter is disabled. Also it does not appear in "peripheral" that the adapter is turned off. You must go to the C:\Program WIDCOMM software and double-click BTTray.exe to redisplay the icon, and then turn on the adapter. Come on Microsoft, surely it would be easier to just gray exit icon at its stop, then your right click the greyed to activate the adapter turn it back on. Simple really.

  • Need drivers of Windows XP Home for Qosmio G40

Anyone who has links to Qosmio G40 xp drivers? I change from Vista to XP.

    Best regards Blakstad

I t has not found drivers for the Qosimo G40, too.

As said by Feliks, seek other pilot sites.
    Here some examples:

    -Intel chipset: [www.intel.com]
    -Realtek soundchip: [www.realtek.com]
    -WLAN driver: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
    -Bluetooth: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/

Maybe it works, but I think the Qosimo is fast enough for Windows Vista. I think that's the best choice.

Have you already installed Windows Vista SP1? This, because Vista works better with SP1.

  • Qosmio G30 - 126 - odd scraping noise

    Hello!

I have a Qosmio G30-126 and OS Vista Ultimate. A month ago, my laptop was taken in service because it wouldn't turn on, but since last week, when I started it was a scraping extended noise at startup and since then, whenever I m listening to music or if the laptop is in sleep mode, there are some very weird scratching sounds coming out of speakers. Short sounds that keep repeats. Sometimes they stop after a few times and other times, like last night, I had to reboot.

I tried to update all available drives, but everything seemed to date. I googled the question, but none of what I found was also relative.

Can someone give me a clue as to what could be the problem? Is there something that I didn't think of that needs to be done?

Thank you very much in advance!

Have you tested with a helmet too? You hear the sound even when you listen to mp3 files?
