  I have the same problem with my G50. According to me, if I have the brightness of the screen under level 5, there is no problem.

  But your CPU Intel® Core2 Duo Processor P7450 does not support Intel VT - x and this is mentioned on the page of Intel:

  I just encountered the same problem. While watching the TV, it shuts down suddenly. Even model & 18 months and now dead. If I leave it plugged in now, we get the same thing - the power switch flashes between green and Red intermittently seconds or - but no picture at all.
