Questions of bbid to blackBerry Smartphones. I have the new SIM card, I have reset my password BBID

Hello, I just changed my SIM card and I'm unable to access my phone (curve 9720) apparently my password / ID was incorrect. I have consulted my BB account via my PC and put (via recovery) to change my BBID password successfully. Yet when I try the new password to my BB gives me just the same message "the user name and password provided do not corrospond to a vlid BBID.

PLEASE HELP ME

Make a backup of your device using the desktop software, see this: How to back up and restore data from smartphone BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software

Then do a wipe secuiry on your device. See: How to delete all data and applications from the smart phone BlackBerry with the optio security wipe...

Restore your data using BlackBerry Desktop Software. Then again, log in using your new BlackBerry ID credentials. Good luck!

PS The 9720 isn't a curve or a "BOLD" is just called BlackBerry® 9720

You have a question for you gurus of blackberry.

When I save a new number on the "BOLD", can I put it so that it registers on my SIM card first? Or will it always save to the phone first and then I have to manually copy the SIM card?

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphones will not recognize the new SIM card

I recently got a Bold 9900 as a gift. In my view, that the phone has been used on the Orange network.

I tried replacing the original Orange SIM card with my SIMcard "pay-as-you-go" three, when I turn on the phone I get the message "SIM not recognized" and a dialog box asking me to enter a code to unlock the SIM card.

Because this means that the phone is locked on Orange network. If so, how can I get the unlock code for the new SIM card?

    Best regards

    SS

Hello and welcome to the community!

You have in fact potentially two issues to deal with... When BBs are made, they are "locked" to their original media and cannot be used on any other carrier up to this MEP is unlocked. Reference:

But the error you say does not quite what I'd expect from an MEP lock... but please check after the above and see if your BB is indeed MEP locked... If so, then Yes you need to unlock it until you can use it on any other carrier.

Or - some SIM cards are delivered with a code of their own necessary to unlock and use. But the supplier of the SIM card which should also give unlock code you with this (if that's what applies to your situation).

So, I suggest you check to see if your device is still locked MEP... If so, get a code (you may have to pay) and unlock it. Then try the SIM card again. If it still fails then your SIM card provider.

In addition, please check with your mobile service provider preferred 100% certain that your BB model is 100% compatible with their network for all services.

    Good luck!

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! Bold 9700 is frozen on start up with the new sim card

I tried looking for similar topics but could not find more relevant. everyone seems to have no problem with swapping of cards sim on their fat. If there is a thread already open, I'm sorry. I am really frustrated and really need my blackberry to be operational.

I have a Bold 9700, updated to the latest OS, everything works fine. I recently had some problems with my old sim card so I went to my service provider to change to another (same number, same line, same contract, just a new sim card).

As it is expected that I was told that when my old sim is disabled, simply insert my new and I use my phone as normal.

However, when I did this, the phone was stuck at the loading screen (the bar is all white) for eternity (maybe 5 minutes or more) before moving on to the home screen. There is no charge "security check" bar, the phone is completely frozen, no buttons work, the touch pad does not work, it shows 3G top right without the sign of blackberry, there is no service provider name and from time to time the little loading logo clock is displayed.

I pulled the battery a couple of times and the problem persists. I called the service provider to reactivate the new sim card, they did 3 times, same problem. I inserted the SIM in other non-blackberry phones that I have and it works on all phones. When I put my old sim card in the 9700 disabled, the phone start end in 2-3 minutes, 'check' safety bar according to normal, everything moves, just no connection to the service. When I turn on the phone without sim card it starts fine with a message to say out loud the card sim.

I even went down to the assistance service technique blackberry from my service provider and they were no help. all they could say was 'we must wipe your phone and reload the software' that I'm trying to avoid, and I can do it myself anyway.

My phone is unlocked, comes unlocked here in Singapore, I even checked using the method 'MEPD', all disabled.

This was very frustrating, especially when I need my blackberry for work. What is the problem with my phone? How can the simple replacement of a sim card if difficult on a blackberry when there is problem free for ANY other phone I've ever used? I am now fear when I travel abroad for business and requires a foreign sim card.

had the same problem and eventually happeing is that I had to reload my os permeable, and then insert the sim card and upgrade again.

    consusming time, but worth it

  • BlackBerry Smartphones second hand blackberry 9900 rejects the new sim card?

Hello everyone. I intend to sell my Blackberry Bold 9900. However, I fear that the user cannot use a new sim card, like when I tried to place a new phone rejected it, he says "SIM not configured". How can I possibly fix?

I bought my phone as a single unit on an online store, which means that it has never been on a postpaid.

    Thank you!

You need to get the device unlocked from a reputable unlocking service. I recommend unlock.berryreview.com

  • Poster blackBerry Smartphones BB in which new SIM is installed

    Hello

    My question is this:

I replaced the SIM cardin my Bold 9900. After you enter the SIM pin code, I need to log in with my account ID of BB. But it tells me that the password is incorrect. Even after I have change the password in the ID of BB and entries again this password, I am not able to connect.

    What could be the solution?

    Hi GeertNorde

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

When we replace our SIM card that he invites to enter the BlackBerry ID associated with the device, and it's only you who know the correct password, if you are unable to enter in these fields and also the password reset fails to solve the issue then no choice but wipe and create a new BlackBerry ID.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry in China using the local sim card service.

I have a Bold 9700 (unlocked) that I would use in China. I hear it can be difficult if not impossible to get a pre paid sim with vocal abilities and data. Given just blackberry e-mail and messaging or does it include GPS and Internet? Thank you.

    Hey there!

Greetings from China! I have a Torch unlocked with me I use on China Unicom (paid in advance) for almost 2 weeks here now (Beijing). I actually do not get the SIM card myself for IT... the hotel made for me. They said that it is indeed difficult to get them now because of the very recent new rules requiring all kinds of identification and of deposits and others. But residents still know how to get around this, so someone from my hotel he had for me. I just to have it reloaded today because I used up all my minutes... so bad since I'm leaving Wednesday, but the cost is almost nothing. I've only got the voice and SMS service... didn't need data comprehensive services on this device that I also have my VZW Storm 2 with me with full international roaming, so I have for such things. Just be sure to use WiFi when you can... roaming charges are quite steep. I was in China and Singapore, a large part of August and my VZW Bill was about $1 700. Should be lower this time since I had the torch of the voice here. And more do not worry about purchase (given that the hotel took care of that for me), I also don't worry about setting up - they did as well and a friend who speaks Mandarin make my top up for me today. Yes, I'm a bit spoiled by all help... but it helps a lot.

With respect to the network, if you want that data, stick with China Unicom - they have 3 G while China Mobile has only 2 G (EDGE). I can really make a difference when my storm seizes China Mobile instead of the Unicom. Finally I got to set my setup get only 3G and it keeps on Unicom all the time now.

Sorry I can't be much more help - I've had help myself and which lightened the burden on me. If you stay in a 5 star hotel, seek their help for sure. You can try the search at the airport on arrival... I tried but nothing of use (most was so tired from the flight that all I wanted was to get to my hotel and crashed). I saw advertisements for a service (I think it's something or other Panda) who speaks through a pre-order SIM card and have it ready at your hotel, and more with easy recharge service. I use them and I'm not sure that it would work with the new rules, but you can also view their.

Good luck and enjoy China! Don't forget to climb the great wall - you must be a hero!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones copies Mulitple Contacts to Sim Card

    Hey everybody,

Sorry been out of the loop as the Blackberry World Online for a little while... Had a bit of a lock on the sites... Do not worry...

I thought I might test you all and see how far technology has come since my last post.

Is there a request yet to allow more than one contact to be copied to the sim card at the same time?

Or an update of the software?

I'm wearing now 3 cameras with me (no, not all Blackberry ) and the sim card gets a rotation. The contacts I need are all in my Storm, and I can't get them to the sim card again unless I do one at a time.

I just did some research, but all articles are 2008 so hoping there is something new on the market to solve this problem, other than the synchronization of Desktop Manager that I don't have outlook or any system of mail installed on my pc, nor do I want to Office Manager

    Please help friends...

    Becky

    Hey bumblepie,

There is nothing updated on what I know... still one at a time.

If there is something I missed, I hope someone post.

I think that I would lose the other two aircraft ;-) if they are not sophisticated enough to manage a complete address book.

Not knowing the other devices, pourraient they manage something like Google Contacts sync, and you move all your contacts to this application so that you can synchronize on each device?

Where I am getting... what common denominator of an application or a service that all three have in common? You said that you do not use Outlook, but if you do, all three devices could synchronize Outlook?

    Good to hear from you.

  • Sync blackBerry Smartphones disorder in the new Blackberry contacts

    Hello

I just got a Blackberry Tour 9630 by Verizon.  I tried to transfer all of my contacts (200 +) on my new phone to Verizon's "Backup Assistant" help.  I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager and thanks to the instructions Verizon Backup Assistant managed to get to the point where my contacts are in a csv file, but here's where the problem starts - my laptop is a few months old, and the operating system is Windows 7.  Outlook and Outlook Express, which is what I used to have, is no longer in existence in Windows 7, as I understand it, it's now Windows Live Mail.  I have that set up and it works fine - I have my email provider implemented in it and was able to import my contacts from phone in there, but the instructions to import the csv file backup so that I can sync them are given only for Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express.  The Blackberry Desktop Messenger does not recognize Windows Live Mail, Outlook just.  I looked everywhere on the internet trying to find a solution to this, if it still exists.  I hope that yes because the thought of having to enter 200 contacts with all their information. handmade isn't a good!

I hope that one of you smart people he understands what I am talking about and can tell me if there is a solution to this (keeping my fingers crossed!).

Thanks in advance, you are your help

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB, but only compatible PIM for:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

You are right that the new Win7 Live system is not yet on the list.

However, since you already have your data in a CSV file, you can import that into the BB directly:

    • KB11194 How to import contacts from a CSV file to the BlackBerry

Unfortunately, until (indeed, if) RIM provides support for Win7 Live, you will not be able to use the features of synchronization and need to rather manually import a CSV file into the BB. I hope that you can create a Win7 lives every time.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with the new sim card

I don't know why I have such a hard time finding how to do this. It's really making me feel like a * beep * here, so any help will be appreciated

I'm on Sprint here in the United States and I'm on a trip to Romania in a few weeks and I wanted to have my phone all set up in advance. I bought a prepaid SIM Vodafone Romania, and told me that it is active and active international roaming. I tried it in 2 unlocked bolding my 9930 current and my old 9650. All I get is SOS and emergency calling only, both on AT & T or T-Mobile. I can't yet figure out how to get the phone number attached to the card. What's on the map with that he came are BPUK PIN and PUK. And I can't record with MyVodafone on their website without the phone number. I don't really know how to proceed. I was hoping to use SMS in roaming here until I leave.

    Thanks in advance...

I was able to get the activated through e-mails with vodafone SIM. Just post here my solution in case anyone has the same problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones has done the new update to change the sensitivity of the Trackpad?

I swear to you that since I did the update, the other day, my trackpad seems to be more sensitive than it used to be.  Anyone know if the sensitivity settings were changed during the update?  Thank you.

I reduced the trackpad horizontal and vertical sensitivity at 50 and it works well.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck in emergency call only and can not enter my password safe alpha that will only allow numbers

After a software (12 hours) update my Blackberry Curve 9320 is stuck in mode 'emergency calls only '.  I have an alpha security password, so it allows me to enter it will allow of only to try to fix or reconnect to the network - numbers from the keyboard.

Tried to remove and reinsert the battery - no joy.

How do I either get my password entered or exit emergency calls only?

    Hello

Resolved to myself.  Already had a digital security password so I tried to put that in.  It was accepted & seemed to allow the network to reconnect that meant while I was off emergency calls only mode & could enter my password safe alpha & enter my phone.

Rather strange but suggested that my SIM card can hold my old password that I used with my last phone.

Unusual scenario but the hope that it might help others.
