Question of gamma QT Motion Jpeg

I jumped to use CS3 to CS5, so that may have arisen in CS4 and everyone figured it out already.

I used to deliver files in QT Motion JPEG codec.  However in CS5 when I output in this format everything looks washed out as if there is a problem of gamma during playback in QuickTime or other editing software.  If I open this file QT back up in After Effects, it seems.

I do not use the color management, just an installation of out-of-the-box for the moment.

I went to deliver in the QT Animation codec which solves the problem, but the size of the file has been exaggerated for this project.

Any help is appreciated!

Open your project settings and make sure that this gamma use inheritance is turned on. You can quickly get the project settings by clicking on the 8, 16, 32 bit option at the bottom of the project window.

  • Motion Jpeg 2000

Someone asks me on the conversion of video in Motion Jpeg 2000 format.  We are trying both to get up to speed on what it means.  I see that the first CS5.5 can produce a Quicktime file using the Jpeg 2000 codec.  Is it the same thing?  This creates a file with a .mov extension.  The client seems to think that he must have an extension .mj2.  First CS 5.5 this?  How about CS6 (which I don't have yet)?

    J. D.

Export to JPEG 2000 using QuickTime (.mov) is currently what we support with CS6. There are various extensions for JPEG 2000, such as .mj2, .jp2, but again, we do not currently supported. Feel free to submit applications to support desired features. FYI, you can always download the demo version of CS6, to check or take a test drive. http://www.Adobe.com/downloads/

  • Motion JPEG AVI codec not supported by Adobe Premiere Pro CS4?

    Hi all

First of all, I must say that English is not my mother tongue. Forgive me if I make spelling mistakes or if I write inpolitely, it is not the intention.

I have a couple of videos made with a camera. The videos have an .avi extension and a Motion JPEG codec. I can watch them on my computer fine with the two Windows Media Player, Winamp, or Quicktime. However, when I try to use them in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, the videos are stuck after a few images (half a second), even if the sound is going very well. I am quite sure that this is a problem in Adobe Premiere Pro, because they DON'T work well in Adobe After Effects CS4. I tried to convert the video to another codec, but no matter what that the settings I use, there are still many quality loss.

Nobody knows how to solve this problem in the first? I read the following document: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/166/tn_16612.html but I don't quite understand, I'm not used to working with the property inspector or Lingo. If someone could explain this document to me it would be too good.

    Thank you in advance,

    Bib-lost25

The link you provide is related to the Flash program and is not relevant to your problem.

I don't know why the Mjpeg files work in some programs (including After Effects) and not first.  But the reality is that you need to add an Mjpeg codec. I love Morgan (although I don't have CS4 and it was inherited from my days of Pinnacle real files).

There are other threads on this topic; try searching for "mjpeg".

  • Question about importing RAW and JPEG

    Greetings,

Support of Adobe at the following page talks about the "import and preferences file management Definition:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/Lightroom/3.0/using/WSA66356E1-47C3-405f-8E7F-0FD7AAEB0575.htm l

I have a few questions about this, and I would really appreciate your input gtting. (I also posted this question on this page, but I don't know if it was the right place...)

    1. that means 'otherwise, Lightroom treats the JPEG in doubles as a file? The JPEG format is not available at all in these circumstances? What can I do with this file "jpeg"? Is located in the same folder as the RAW images?

    2. my understanding is that the JPEG image contains the treatment unit (e.g., Vivid, sharpning, etc.); When I import pictures from my Nikon (NEF) raw, LR does not apply to these parameters, and the image I see in LR is * really * gross (i.e., bland and "free upgrades").  If I shoot and bring in JPEG and RAW, LR is it possible to have LR somehow automatically "make RAW image look like the JPEG?

    Thank you in advance!

    Zevi

    (1) No, it simply as an initial overview.  LR replaces this overview as soon as it renderes its own.

    (2) the profiles are already built for Nikon and Canon.  Look in the calibration Panel in the develop module.

  • Rendering color 10/12 bits (JPEG 2000)?

I don't mean to create a package of digital cinema (DCP) in itself, but I have some questions related to the rendering bit depths greater than 8 bits.

NOTE: standard digital cinema (PDF link, see page 31) for the distribution of the package is JPEG 2000 files with 12-bit color (in the XYZ color space)... packed in container MXF format.

    1. I wonder if it is possible to make any format 10 - or 12-bit color in After Effects.  Suppose that my source is a 16bpc or 32bpc comp, and I make it to the QuickTime container and select JPEG2000 or one of the other variants.  None of them seem to go higher "millions of colors", or 8-bit.  (One who has the ability of "millions of colors more" makes even to the planar 8-bit [YUV 4:2:0] when I inspect its streams and metadata.)

2 QuickTime container list, what are the ' Motion JPEG-A ' and ' Motion-JPEG-B?  Is not the standards with which I am familiar, and I can't find the details in the documentation as to what is in reality.  (In all of my tests, they are limited to 8-bit color).

    3. is the JPEG 2000 codec available via QuickTime the same JPEG 2000 codec which is literally the full ISO 15444 or standard SMPTE 429-4, or some lame parts and bit version?

Of course, I can render to TIFF or OpenEXR sequences in 16bpc or full float... I was wondering if it was possible to get the 10 - or 12-bit color in a standard container via after effects CC or first Pro CC (via Media Encoder CC).

I see the "render at maximum depth" option in Premiere Pro, but I have never found a format/container that would be something greater than 8-bit color... even as 16bpc or 32bpc entry media output.

Thanks for your help and your insight.

    Best compression...

  • IMAQ AVI2 writing Frame question

I am using the AVI2 IMAQ write vi framework to create an AVI file from images generated by a PCIe-1433 and a series camera Basler Ace.

Whenever I try to use the AVI2 IMAQ write framework vi he missed my applicaton. The result is that loose I frames and my program becomes unrespsonsive. I tried to put the AVI2 IMAQ write setting in a loop from consumers hoping that if I feed it to my things in the main loop will speed up, but it still bogs down my program.

If I take 10 seconds or more data and stop the program, and then it takes about half an hour to clear the queue and write all these images on the disk. It is simply unacceptable. How to speed up the generation of the AVI file of the frameworks I caught?

My current settings on the save the AVI file are a rate of 30 frames per second, 250 quality and using the Cinepak Codec of Radius for encoding. The camera has the two camera cables installed, so I think I'm running the camera in complete configuration mode (not basic, but I'm not sure). I was 100 fps earlier and caused substantial problems, so I slow fps. Ideally, I would like to be able to turn this to the faster frame rate.

I intend to try experimenting the value of fps and the Codec to see if I can improve performance, but no entry or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Motion JPEG is MJPEG.

You can also use any third-party codec that can be installed and used by the functions the AVI (Windows). There are some commercial existing ones and who can use the hardware acceleration features more and new compression (such as H.264) codecs, but the MJPEG one included with NI Vision is very good.

Your thread earlier today deals with the question of the layers, the JPEG file format is not supported. If you want to save the file with layers, save as PSD. To load the referenced site, save the file in JPEG format as well. After you have downloaded, remove the JPEG file if you are short of space.

Go to Image > mode and make sure the RGB color is checked. When you go to file > save as, in JPEG, the ICC profile is sRGB IE C61966 - 2.1 (on my current test file).

  • Questions T400 and VGA

I'm fairly certain that my VGA output was working fine until today.  I do not use the external display which is often so it is hard to say exactly when the issue began.

The external display fine during start-up and the animated Windows logo (it's on Windows 7, btw).  But when the login screen appears, the screen looks washed out as a photo overexposed with very low color.

The only thing I installed recently is TurboTax 2009.  Could software as it will interrupt the VGA?

An interesting I noticed also was right when Windows is going down (the "shutting down" message), the VGA display looks normal without any problems.

Does anyone have ideas, what could be the problem?

I had this problem as well on driver 8.15. ???.

Solved by clicking on the icon for the Intel GMA system tray and open the properties of the chart, choose Color Enhancement and choose the monitor falling down. Click on default settings and you should be fine.

How first of all ask the question? Gamma has been wayyyyyyy too high without apparent reason. I certainly didn't change the gamma of the external screen when it happened to me, and I doubt that the original poster did this either.

  • Muse do not like my JPEG 3000px wide!

Interesting question. I placed a JPEG file that is 4px x big 300px wide in my layout. Muse had no problem with it. But when I then attempted to provide a broad picture of 450px x 3000px high, Muse refuses to place 100% of the size. I also tried drawing a rectangle, then fill with my image at full size, but Muse always said 'No!' and brings him a reduced size. If I reset the rectangle fill 'original size', Muse refuses to obey, even if the container rectangle is the same size as my JPEG file. Clues or suggestions? Kind eyes-

Correct, but it is simpler than that. Place the image and its maximum size is 2048. Resize in Muse to what size you want. Assuming that it's bigger, it will temporarily appear pixelated in Design view. Now preview, export, publish or download. During one of these operations Muse will recover in additional data from the file related (assuming that the link is not broken) to additional data are needed. The output will not pixelated (assuming that the original file has sufficient resolution) and view design updates to no longer be pixelated.

The manual step of using the 'Import of larger' action is not necessary. Muse will do it automatically. (He used necessary in earlier versions of Muse).

  • Photo of day 801 - nonexistent support frame

I bought a Toshiba journe ^ 1 ^ digital frame (model number: PPA3702A-1ET2) and support could better be described as missing (ie. it does simply not exist).

    Here are a few questions:

    (1) video support. There is an option for the video display, and I have seen elsewhere that the chassis accepts Motion JPEG, MPEG 4, WMV, H.263 and H.264. I tried showing a H.264 in a MOV container and it did not work, so my question is which codecs (audio and video) and what containers are supported?

    (2) support of the image. JPEG and BMP files appear as is, is this the case? Any plans to update firmware?

    (3) where is the light sensor and can adjust it? If I turn it on the blanks of screen immediately, regardless of the brightness. It is a problem.

    (4) I am the only person who thinks to be able to get more reliable information of the products from any user * but * Toshiba on this product is a problem? A basic support for a product you are selling would be nice.

    -----
^ 1 ^ the Swiss army knife of the Toshiba - seriously of Toshiba product naming conventions, do not call all what you're doing 'day '. It complicates product search and frankly, devalues the meaning of the day as a mark at the point of uselessness.

    Hi cfuse.

in the manual on page EN-58, you can see a chart that tells you the video Formats supported.
There you can see that H.264 is not supported as an AVI or MOV file.

If one only .jpg and .bmp is on the box listed as image formats supported, I Don t think that Toshiba will come out a firmware update to support other image formats.

The light sensor is placed right into the bottom corner.
You are right - it is a little too sensitive, but unfortunately there is no way to adjust it.

  • Canon 1dx problems Mark II / workflow

    Hello

my last question is how people manage the files from the canon Mark II 1dx motionjpeg?  Probably the same as the 1 ms, as they are the two motion JPEG.  I've been using first cs6, with native 5 d Mark II removal, and just sticking in a timeline and work with them from there.  This new camera comes with a lot of unexpected problems, and frankly I can have over-estimated the transition to 60 K 4 p to 1080 p 30 p.  If anyone can give any advice would be appreciated.

    some of my problems.

-just play the files to display in real time without choppy playback.  It's very frustrating not being able to actually see the shots that I took.  The files are. MOV, but does not open in windows media player.  Reading extremely agitated in quicktime and Vic.

-transcoding.  It is a new concept for me.  I don't want to lose quality.  I'm a Windows user, prores is out.  I lloked at dxn and don't find the right thing to transcode to in Adobe media encoder.  I tried a framework and it has doubled the size of the file.   Transcoding is worth? I can't store the two sets of files.

-uses cs6, but downloaded a demo of CC.  She still plays back choppy in that.  I made, and it helps. But still not perfectly smooth.  It's just on the native files, not any transcoded ones.

FYI my system is Windows 7, with 32 GB of ram and a geforce gtx 970.  And the samsung SSD.

You put a RAID 0 on a map of love at first sight, you should see a serious improvement.

In the Project Settings (file/project settings) Panel, you select where video & audio previews for the project to go... and auto-enregistre.

Other things... like the media and the media Cache database Cache, you go to preferences/settings for these are "universal" for PrPro to put pieces of the project... This is GREAT use for both read/write up to have them on a quick internal as an SSD can be very good.

And @Bill_Gehrke pointed out the newish Samsung T1 and T3 readers via a port USB3, can give to the incredible high speed suitable for media use to... maybe... some 4 k.

Exports are really a one-way operation, as the media... exports are a write operation and multimedia files are a read operation, so they are often not as the need-for-speed as cache & preview files are... Although if you use 6 media k, well... SPEED!

So sometimes, using a fairly fast SSD external or even a big flash drive fast (as I do both) as the 128 GB PNY rigs, can add a place for exports, which prevents them from taking a hit on any other player who is involved in the operations.

What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

    Your questions may be twice

    a. MotionJPEG codec

    and

    b. no QuickTime (more late or any version) installed on your computer with Premiere Elements

Go to your computer that is sharing the section and the choice of QuickTime. See you there presets for QuickTime?

If you do not have QuickTime installed or there is a problem with the installed QuickTime, you won't see any QuickTime

    predefined settings.

Regarding the MotionJPEG codec, which can be problematic for some, not all. The typical remedies include

    a. install a utility provided with the camera to power any codec special MotionJPEG for Premiere Elements

    b. download, install and maybe buy if necessary, Morgan MotionJPEG codec

    c. you convert MotionJPEG file to another format compatible with Premiere Elements

    We will follow for details.

    Thank you.

  • Confused about my project settings - can someone advise?

I have some excerpts from my child when she was very small (I have provided a sample at the bottom). I want to do a project with them in first Elements 10.

I tried to use Premiere Elements project settings Advisor ' auto (IE placed the 1st clip of the new project on the timeline, so it can notify whether or not project settings are correct), but no matter what I use the project settings intial Premiere Elements does not have auto corrected parameters. So, I used 3 análisis programs of different media to tell me what are the properties my videos and they say all different things:

    (1) Media info says: AVI (Mjpeg) 720 x 480 30 fps NTSC interlaced (3:2).

    (2) MovieScanner said: AVI (Mjpeg) 720 x 480 (4:3), 480 p (progressive).

    (3) MediaTab said: AVI (Mjpeg) 720 x 480 30 fps (3:2), progressive NTSC.

So I think I can say the clips are AVI (motion Jpeg), but are they interlaced or progressive (it is important for me to get this right when choosing project obviouisly settings)? I don't know what that format of pixels and everything would be like that is getting too advanced for me.

MJPEG can even be interlaced? Surely if there are a lot of JPEG files, put in place to make a moving image then they must be progressive, or JPEG files themselves can be interlaced?

Here's a clip very small sample if someone wants to download and have a peek for me:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/redir?RESID=F587D73C02F4DBBB! 2689 & authkey =! ANELPbk4tYQDCDc & t = c the %2 file. AVIhttp: / /.

Advice of how a person would go to discover these parameters would be too large.

    Thank you very much.

    Pbeck1

Thanks for the details that worked for you.

This type of first hand information is a valuable contribution to the community of Premiere Elements.

Continued success. Never hesitate to ask a question, that everyone learns in this process of learning and sharing.

  • Problems video camera

Hi I am trying to edit a video from a digital device that is coded in the form of 30,000 images per second non-goutte, 1280x720p pixels square in the motion JPEG codec.  The audio is 8 kHz 64 Kbps mono in the PCM codec.

In the 8 elements, I can't import because of the audio format.  Then I ran across Free AVI Video Converter. He changed the video codec XVID and the audio MPEG. for now they are importing and editing very well.  But when I try to export it, I can't have a setting that seems good. Pixelation is horrible. Titles are completely unreadable.

I'm tempted to upgrade to 11 items, but I won't try unless I know for sure it will solve my problems.

I really prefer to import videos direct camera and export to a usable quality.

The camera has been SeaLife DC1400 a friend

    Welcome to the forum.

I agree with John T. Smith. XviD and DivX are on the worst CODEC to use, if you intend to change the images. If your conversion program can do H.264, probably in a wrapper MP4 w / 16-bit 48 kHz PCM/WAV Audio, that should work fine.

Now, dating back to when you tried to import the original files, which tells you, the Audio is a question? Pre can treat many different Audio, as it is it compliant floating-point 32-bit 48 kHz. This could take a while, but I think tht the 8 kHz WAV Audio Stream might be similar. Do you have an error message, and if so, what is it?

    Good luck
