  • Problems with printer Redirect/MS OneNote opens automatically to RDP/VPN

We have a network environment where we rdp/vpn in several flavors of Server 2003/2008.  Whenever we either rdp/vpn in these
boxes, we get a printer redirect the box that appears several times stating:

This document was sent to the printer

    Document: Remote Desktop redirected printer...

    Name of the printer

    Time

    Total number of Pages

It is yet to come when connecting.  In these cases, nothing has been printed by the user.  We usually press ok
or Cancel to get through this, but the problem is still there in the next journal in which is super annoying.  We can go in
through the resources local tab in the RDP and uncheck the printer, or go to personalization settings in the task bar
SELECT and menu properties hide notifications from the printer, but it does not solve this problem and it also prevents our users
to be able to print over the network.
Apart from this question, MS OneNote starts automatically during each of
the journal of sessions via rdp/vpn.
I found a blog about it, so I know that this issue has been raised by others, but none
    real solution was provided.
    Any ideas?

  • Print selection OneNote?

You use OneNote 2007 in Vista Home Premium, I have selected a single note and chose to print > current selection. OneNote print the entire document. Is it possible to print only selected data? (That question notwithstanding, OneNote is one of the best applications I've ever seen, because it is ideal to produce and then to find research data, and I like to know.) I've used Notepad and put a shortcut on my desktop, but found that this inefficient method because the data could not be arranged, and the filled too fast file.)

    Howard,
Best way to do what I know is to copy the selected data from a new page, and then click file-> preview before printing. In the meantime of printing, you can select current Page here. Then click on print.

I agree with you, my feeling is that OneNote is a great tool to organize information. Rami

  • File sku1a1.cab missing Microsoft OneNote 2003

Here are the * real * the answer to this question that everyone is looking for:

    Missing sku1a1.cab file

    (1) get your OneNote product key off your computer.

There is a small free program that will do this for you here:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/ProduKey.zip

    (2) uninstall OneNote
    (3) download the trial version of OneNote here:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Office/OneNote/prodinfo/trialoffer.mspx
    (4) install the trial version and enter your product key when prompted
    (5) check "Install updates" at the end of installation and it will install SP2 and get back where you were before the sku1a1.cab file has disappeared.

    UPDATE:
    I re-post this topic.

I just wanted to clarify a point, the reason why I have included "key demand" was because most of the questions I've seen about the *.cab file missing have been people who own the product but can't find their CD or key number.

That's what happened to me, and this is the solution I found that worked, when none of the forums that I searched gave a viable answer. My solution will not work if you do not have the product in the first place, because the key request will not be able to find a key on your computer for this program.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Thanks for your advice.
But I don t think there is a need of using any key display programs.
To my knowledge, you will receive a CD cover with the activation key for OneNote.
You should check the back of the cover.

In any case, thanks for your help.
    Good bye

  • Cannot install printer on Server 2008 because Onenote is not installed?

I am trying to install a printer on a Server 2008 computer.  But when the installation checks for the printer, it stops and says, Onenote must be opened first.  I'm not planning to install any version of Office on this server.  Why am I blocked?    If I use the add a printer utility box, he wants to add a PostScript driver, and of course, I don't want to, I want the PCL driver and it doesn't give me that option either.

  • Files opened in the OneNote notebook

My computer got an infection last week.  The infection has since been removed with Anti - Malware Bytes. I always try to clean up after the mess he left behind.

My problem is that when I double-click on a folder, it opens with OneNote.  The default action is indicated as 'open as notebook in OneNote '.  Explorer is shown as the next option.  How can I solve this problem?

Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / under general, click default settings.  You will then again go to make changes, you did (as showing hidden and system files and others) and reset all other settings in options of folders that you did - but I think this will remove opened the notebook in OneNote (although I am not sure that I'm only marginally familiar with this program).

I don't was unaware that OneNote can be configured by default for all folders - I thought he should be selected per-folder.  I do not know how what happened to your system, even if I wanted to.

If this does not work (or you don't want to try) please repost your question in the Discussion of the Office group at: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.onenote&lang=en&cr=US where the specialists of OneNote will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

    Good luck!

P.S. I don't know what AV program that you use, but I recommend the Microsoft System Essentials for free at: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Microsoft-Security-Essentials-Download-131683.html that is not only excellent for malware, but also uses less system resources than most AV / AM programs out there.  I recommend also you use Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php periodically as a second level of protection and to catch anything MSE may be missing.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft forum. I will definitely help you with this.

This can occur if the printer is not configured properly or because of changes in the default printer settings.

Check the default printer, set the default printer.

    Change your default printer

  • Treo 800w cannot assign OneNote to hardware button

I just upgraded to a 755 p of a Treo 800w (after owning a 650, 600, Palm Vx and Palm Pilot before that).  For the most part, I was very happy.  Frankly, the only real issues I had have been with Windows Mobile Device Center.  The rest of the transition has been very well, except the YEARS of change of habits.

Here's my question.  I am trying to assign OneNote Mobile to a hardware button, but OneNote is not in the list of available applications to assign.  Other ROM apps and installed applications are present, including other Office Mobile applications, simply no OneNote.  This could be the cause of this problem?

Here's what I do: go to start--> settings--> personal--> buttons.  Click on the button I want.  Search in the "assign a program:" drop-down list.

    Thank you

    David

The OneNote Mobile icon is in Windows/Start Menu/Office Mobile. I copied the icon OneNote Mobile for Windows/Start Menu/Programs. OneNote then appeared in to assign applications.

I didn't have to do this before because that Word, Excel and Powerpoint all appeared in the list of applications to assign and their shortcuts are only in the Office Mobile directory. Guess I need to think outside of the box on Windows Mobile...

Message is about: Treo 800w (Sprint)

  • Research of start Windows 7 does not see outlook and onenote items

I use office 2010 and windows 7 Enterprise.    When you used to search in the start bar the results it would display would contain items outlook and onenote but it is no longer made.  It contains only the elements with the words to search for in the name of the file.

If however I chose see more results while all outlook and onenote items are there.  It feels like a framework or something somewhere has changed and now the start bar search does not bother to look in the index.
I made sure that all the search options in the start bar properties tab are on and working, but still no results.
    Anyone got any ideas?

  • Windows 8 pro upgrade - question about relocation

I am running Windows 8 (Standard Edition) - it came preinstalled on my computer, and thus the product key is stored on my BIOS.

I would like to be running Windows 8 Pro. However before I have to spend $200, I want to know exactly how the upgrade system - the rest of the internet is very clear on that. I have the following questions:

    (1) if I buy an upgrade Windows 8 Pro on the Microsoft Store (search > add features > purchase online product key), and then later I want to do a clean reinstall Windows pro 8, if I can install Windows 8 Pro or what I need to install Windows 8 and then go again?

    (2) if I have to upgrade again can I use the option 'I already have a product key' in 'Add features' and use the product key that I bought?

    (3) if I go out to a retailer and buy Windows 8 Pro and do a clean install, it will install in Windows 8 Pro or I have to use "add features"? If I have to use 'Add features', will be the product key that comes with my Windows 8 Pro that I bought work detailing if I select "I already have a product key?

    (4) if I want to upgrade to Windows Pro 8.1 in what order should I upgrade? Is - this Windows 8 > Windows 8 Pro > Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 8 > 8.1 Windows > Windows Pro 8.1? (Please do not link me to the FAQ section, I've been there and that you can't find the answer. If you wish to make a reply in this section it otherwise I'll have to ask you to clarify rephrase please.)

    (5) is there a way I can save windows 8.1/Windows 8.1 Pro upgrade files so that I don't have to download again if I clean install my OS? If so, how do I.

    1. You need to install Windows 8 and upgrade to Pro again.
    2. Yes, you can of course. This code will work for you for ever. Just keep it somewhere safe (I keep all my OneNote product keys, but you can also store them as text files OneDrive or another course).
    3. The complete packaging product key will work as well.
    4. You cannot jump directly from Windows 8 > Windows Pro 8.1.  You would have either A) download the 8.1 update before you type the key Pro 8.1 or B) to obtain a Pro 8.0 and use it, then go to 8.1.
    5. There is really no files actually.  Each version of Windows has everything, the code is that it unlocks for use.  What is new, starting with Vista, this is why the "features add to Windows ' (formerly 'AnyTime Upgrade' is here.

But you could always take your computer, update / update to 8.1 Pro you have, then do a system image backup, so you can always go to immediately exactly hassle-free.  Bonus, this backup can even include all of your installed programs, settings and customization.
