  Hey there, I'm not super tech savy and have a question. I just get into solidworks and auto cad for work so and also take courses at school. I have a z600 and that you want to paste a quadro 5000 in it and do not know if it will work... and don't want to order on Amazon and being stuck with him cause the end of the day I'm still a student broke...   When someone is trying to update a video card, I always ask that they take into account the power supply.  In your situation, the Z600 sports more than enough power and the only other thing you need is dual PCI slots because of the form factor.

  Hello, I am facing strange issues with monitor that soon I connect it to the new 7710 precision. I have a few problems on screen as seen below attached videos. Support Dell Pro says that I have to wait for drivers, they even told me to install the drivers beta for Intel and Nvidia Quadro 5000 M, but it does not help. Monitor shows a picture with only problems with Quadro 5000 M (Intel CPU graphics disabled in bios). On Intel, it does not show a picture at all. I use original mDP to DP cable and tried other cables as well. There are 1 videos of how behave the monitor connected to the Dell laptop:

  It is obvious that the monitor is fine on the material plane. The failure must lie with your laptop in video. Start a new thread on the laptop Video Board to discuss with other users of the laptop.

  SG in mode of Direct relationship is often a little s l o w... one of the several main problems with that to the amazing characteristic time. For some, as you noted, disabling GPU Accel helps with laggishness while working the controls. But the image is often not as good. You are welcome to fill out a bug report on this... and contrary to common misperceptions, filed bug reports are a BIG part of what the Adobe bean counters use to budget for fix-time engineer. Then... file, please!

  First pro not reconizes Quadro 5000, while on the same computer CC Photoshop after effects CC AND recognizes them.

  Furthermore, on my laptop a Quadro 4000 M in no more recognized by first while it is Photoshop and after means.

  Hello, I have my new operating system; Open Pr and mercury is set on GPU, if I goto editing preferences and player bets I only get the default Adobe Player list and can't select my nVidia driver or Quadro output; is there something I'm missing I can add this somehow?

  Well, if you do not use the other monitor for preview, you must do this when starting a new project. First launch, new project, when the sequence opens select your preset and then select the general tab and click playback settings. You will be able to see your secondary monitor and then select for real-time previews.

  If you want your timeline to be extended on both monitors, then you need to do in the control panel display properties.

  The 570 both the 580 on the list supported and therefore do not require the 'hack '. In my case, using a GTX 480, I need to use the hack, because it is not supported.

• nVida Question: EMT work?

  We just built a machine record for first Pro CS5 he double 2.9 Ghz Xeon, 24 GB triple channle RAM OCZ and dual graphics card nVidia Quadro 5000 in SLI, W7 Pro running. We have improved Pr to 5.02.

  In testing, we found two MOV of (14 minutes in length each, attested to by our videographer) for download on Vimeo.  The source files are 1080 p and output is 720 p.  This operation exports in Mp4 format in 17 minutes approximately.  I selected the GPU acceleration in the properties for the project, but our CPU show almost 100% usage when the tearing of the video, I thought that the GPU would decrease the load...  While there was a significant improvement in our old box of Pr, I expected way more.

  Am I missing something, or the GPU less a role in effective export?

  Any thoughts would be appreciated

  1st: CS5 does not support Multi-GPU currently working for the EMT. You can also disable SLI.

  2nd: the MPE accelerates only certain things such as effects and flaking. It does not accelerate the encoding again because they would have to translate all the codecs in CUDA to do. I'm sure they have a plan step by step in the future to do this, but I doubt it will be all at once.

  3rd: even if the acceleration is active as one participates in treatment off the coast of the CPU and tends to the GPU. The CPU has to decode the material. Send data to ram that needs to go to the GPU. Then encode the last image once the effects data are processed by the GPU. Often the GPU must wait on the CPU to do it's part of the job first before the GPU work become available. Think of it as a production line and the CPU must build each piece he can and then to send parts to another line to treat and then those completed parts back to the original line IE CPU so she can put them all together and make the finished product.

  So if your CPU hit 100% then that's a positive. This means that your production line is working as fast as it can

  I'm having a problem exporting CBR WMVs in the SOUL.   The program begins to export, creates the file, but then stops just export a complete export with the green check of declaration.    The problem is that the first few seconds of the video is exported before the end of the file (EoF).

  I export a lot of videos of up to 12 different projects at once using the following settings (note that I chose CBR 2 pass for the smaller wmv because it gives a better video quality on export.)  "I want to keep this setting).

  Problem with the software or CUDA Mercury playback engine.   Problem occurs randomly and usually works within 3 tries to export.

  1 could you tell me what version of SOUL you use?

  2. what version of Windows are you using?

  3. does this problem disappear if you use VBR?

  5. If you are encoding a single video file, instead of a project, do you still see the problem?

• Maximus / Tesla - does nothing for the performance of Pr?

  (Sorry if this has been discussed already - could not find a thread dedicated to this)

  NVidia and Adobe has published some comparisons of performance where it seems that Tesla (via Maximus) adds a lot of performance of Premiere Pro systems.

  While all the rest I've read (including on this forum) indicates that the gains are mainly in smoother playback (less dropped frames in a complex calendar), and when the 1 card is relatively low - like Quadro 2000 or 4000.

  Issue 1: did I miss something? Maximus does nothing else more to help reading in real time.  (Please note that I don't talk about all the other apps - CS or not. Premiere Pro performance only).

  Question 2: someone at - he tested the configuration Maximum against a decent GeForce (GTX-670) card or, say, Quadro 5000?

  For example, what are the benefits of the Maximus with Q5K against Q5K + Tesla, for Premiere Pro CS6?

  You must keep in mind that with a single card of Q5 / 6K, all accelerated MPE Affairs are managed by the card of Q5 / 6K, using all of the CUDA cores available on these maps. When you change from one configuration of Maximus, by adding a map C2075 Tesla, CUDA kernels on Q5 cards / 6K are circumvented and only CUDA kernels on the map of Tesla are used for acceleration of the EMT. It's as simple as that.

  PR has never been able to use several GPU and actually adding a map of Tesla to create an environment of Maximus don't disable the Quadro card for hardware MPE and leaves map of Tesla. The remaining function for the Quadro card is to guide the monitors. That's why my reservations about this solution of Maximus, except if you 10bits out your monitors.

  Admitted, I don't know how it works with AE, AE may use several GPU, so it may be advantageous.

  Nine times, improved performance stated in the article you linked to are substantially the same, or less that we find in the test results.

  It is my belief that broadband bandwidth memory is the most important factor that determines MPE and performance so far, our test results to support this.

  If you compare the bandwidth memory of different cards, you see this emerging model:

  Obviously the fastest solution is the GTX 680. If opting for a solution of Maximus, it is foolish to choose a Quadro 6000 on a 4000, unless you need the size of the memory of the 6000.

  Needless to say I took videos of youtube for some of assistance along the way, and some videos tell to use the Quicktime format (in fact I told always and only) so I'm a fallow and it does the same thing, so I fallowed suite mine also seemed to be all by default as his so I thought that I was on the right track. I sent he Ae gave me an error saying that it can provide in .mov however the OS will not be able to understand that he or what ever, so I thought I'll try it (in after all alone has not read the right to the BONE? lmao okay isn't funny)... well saved the file and in cannot open it saying Quicktime is not installed or Codec or something blah blah... so I searched google and find help on Adobe forums using the PROGRAM Gspot so downloaded and executed, which opened the file .mov that no problem detected that I have all the codecs installed.

  AE sudgested to save .avi file. I'll do as soon as I'm finnished here and try it, but I wonder why people say use .mov as if it was the only and unique cream of the crop... I understand most people use MACS (AWW now I has Apple this bad taste in my mouth!) but I'm on PC then is it still benefitial or is just using native for MAC, and that's why?

  I think it may be a problem with .mov on this perticular file as it's one I'm second place for a friend and it was a slideshow integrated in windows movie maker... edited in Premiere Elements 2.0... published in CS5 Pro Pr...   If you do not have Quicktime installed, you can not use .mov. There is no reason in CS5.5 use .mov (probably in any recent version).

  Just the export of EI as avi (if you use the SD assets); Still going to transcode.

  Alternatively, use dynamic link EI or export of the AE MPEG (non-multiplexed) If you get a m2v.

  and a year ago, we bought 4 licenses for Boris Continuum Complete 7 AE plugins

  In the HP Z800 computers 2, we have a problem with the plugins 3D BCC7 BORIS Boris objects. The other Boris Continuum Complete 7 AE plugins work correctly.

  Other computers 2 HP Z400 all plugins go OK including BCC7 BORIS Boris objects

  Each computer has Windows 7 and NVIDIA graphics Quadro 5000

  Well, if the question is so specific, you can contact BorisFX' rely on this. Also make sure that your graphics Setup. Even if the cards are the same, you may be using different drivers or have a different screen configuration that causes these problems...

• Video PC Spec - your help / advice / opinion please

  I am currently specialization on my new PC and I want some sound advice on a couple of components, basically the GPU and CPU, everything else satisfies me, hard drives and RAM etc.

  My main field of activity is using Adobe After Effects and first Pro CS5.5 (moving to CS6 as soon as it falls), I use a little Cinema 4 d and there, but it's very small on my list and I never long or extremely complicated to render scenes.

  Basically, I'm a little puzzled about what set up would be the best and if getting the more expensive processors will be of any huge advantage given the massive price differences.

  First question:

  I'm going for a dual Xeon set up and would like to hear all opinions on who would be better please...

  R: Intel Xeon processor X 5650

  B: Intel Xeon L5640 processor

  C: processor Intel Xeon E5649

  Secondly:

  For the GPU, I am interested in one of these:
  R: nVidia Quadro 5000 (352 CUDA Cores)

  B: nVidia 590GTX (1024 CUDA Cores)

  First: Forget the double Xeons. They are not worth spending and they use old technology.

  Second: Forget the 590, since you can only use half of it. BI - GPU is not supported. Better, get a GTX 580, less costly than a 590 or a Quadro 5000 and it gives better performance.

• Professional video equipment and Photo - need your advice work station!

  I try to buy a high-end video and photo editing station and I am really puzzled as to the amount of options, but the absence of advice available in this area.

  I am a professional photographer, getting more professional video work. However, it seems that the video is much more demanding than still photo production, so I'm sure that everything which works well for video works surprisingly well for still images. So, let's focus on the video.

  We turn our video mainly on Canon 7 D and 5 D Mark II cameras in full 1080 p. My question was until now mainly that once I have added 2-3 video tracks, some transitions, an effect or two and a plugin of stability (as prodad mercali) on my calendar, I see is no longer my preview in real time as it is constantly stuttering while audio plays directly through making it difficult and a lot of time to complete projects full.

  Thus, the goal is to create a machine that can make previews in real-time, without falling into excessive and just buying exaggerated. I can't find any articles on what I need to achieve this goal. I'm looking for so to each of you, the pros for help.

  For the new machine, we'll upgrade CS5, so here's what I'm looking for:

  Budget: $5000 or less (lower the better, no exaggeration)

  1) mobility -I need a laptop powerful workstation that does everything, or I'm going to need a desktop computer powerful workstation, with a portable powerful decently for work on the go.

  2) real-time preview -ability to add multiple layers of video/audio, video effects and effects plugin while being able to always look at the preview in real time (no stutter)

  3) quickly made -fast, but it does not need to be as quick as lightning

  4) long term reliability -if I can customize a Dell system and maybe add some parts after market that would be the better so that I can have the most all wrapped up by the same 3-5 years warranty

  5) color reproduction - if mobile, I need a screen that reproduces the colors very well as a display of RGB WUXGA LCD

  Additional thoughts/Questions

  (1) do I need map series Quadro/over-pants or taken consumer charge cards as the GTX470 will do the job?

  (2) how know exactly what card is supported if the #s card is off slightly, as if it lists the GTX470 as being taken in charge, that's the GTX480 caught in charge?

  (3) what is the best for long term performance, attacked the SSD or attacked raptors?

  (4) what is the optimal configuration of complete raid 0 hard drive, or say a disc of starting 10 000 rpm + 2 discs 10 000 rpm of searched (raid 0) for the readers of the edition/work?

  (5) are there any resources comparing differences in performance practices of real life between the high-end as the Quadro cards and over-pants series all by doing real-life tasks such as rendering, video editing, Photoshopping, etc.?

  About the FX 3800 M, it is currently not a GPU supported offering for laptops. The Quadro FX 3800 model for desktop computers IS a solution of support, but not the mobile Variant. We work closely with Adobe on GPU configurations and have constantly been adding extra GPU with each release of Premiere Pro so its our hope to see added in the future, but at this point, it is a solution not supported.

  The performance is difficult to characterize, because there are many variables that come into play. All the GPU, you mentioned are excellent performers and on a desktop platform, all are fully supported solutions.  On a computer laptop platform the Quadro 5000 M is the only solution to support, so if that's important to you (and it's really something to think about from a point of view system property) that will reduce your concentration. Well as on the side of the office, I recommend the Quadro 4000 instead of the older Quadro FX 3800.

  In addition, there are several parameters beyond a few performances. Stability is the main Director behind Quadro professional graphics solutions.
