• Really simple (hopefully) question about GPIB-USB-HS

  I tried to reconnect a GPIB-USB-HS to a network through a PC HP on shelf Analyzer. Before removing the GPIB-USB-HS system about a week or two ago, Network Analyzer (a vintage 1989 HP 8720 vector Network Analyzer) had worked well with the GPIB unit. Now that I reconnected the GPIB device to network monitor, measurement and automation seems not be able to detect the Network Analyzer.

  My question is: if my GPIB-USB-HS appear in measurement and automation, and it passes the NOR-488. 2 troubleshooting of HW and SW utility test, it would be safe for me to assume that whatever connection problems I have with the Analyzer network, rather than with the GPIB-USB-HS itself?

  I finally got the connection working again. I just had to tighten the screws on the GPIB-USB-HS to make sure it's a good connection to the Network Analyzer so that it can work.

• AutoPlay questions with a USB non-volume device which is regarded as a com port virtual using a chipset LPC2468 IAR.

  I'm working on setting up autoplay to open our software on your computer when the USB connection for a new product, we are about to launch. I can get the AutoPlay dialog box appears, but it is empty.  He considers the virtual device as a com port.

  I added the device in DeviceHandlers, added arrival in EventHandlers, added the device in managers, so on and so forth in the msdn library to speak... Yet when I plug it in, I get an empty auto play dialog box, and the icon at the bottom right is a generic icon.

  What you want to do is go to FTP server area of the router on the @192.168.1.1 Storage tab and configure the port to use and what part of the disk that you want to share. Here's a guide for this.

  Also, make sure that you have chosen a password for the administrator account on the storage. If I remember correctly, it is different from the router password you choose.

  Then all you have to do is to get an FTP client and type the user name "admin" password, IP address and port number. FileZilla client is a good program.

  If you want to use a web browser, the format is ftp://youripaddress: Port number

  Don't forget to use your public IP (displayed in the status tab of the router) or you can set up a free dyndns account to make the format ftp://selected_url: Port number. In other words, unless you do not have a problem in recalling your static public IP address

  I have no discharge reports that the PC did not yet have a BSOD, but this is a replacement PC after the last (same PC and specs) had exactly the same problem and basically could not be fixed by a Dell technician.

  What I might suggest at this stage is to put the service 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' to 'auto' as this can help with any problem of detection:

  Start > type services.msc in the box "search programs and files", then press "Enter".

  In the right window to scroll down to the "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework" service and double-click it and set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" > OK

  Then, restart the computer.

  Then, if Renesas USB 3.0 controller number happen can you create and provide the .evtx, and nfo files to the exact time.

  I have an Asus laptop that I bought in September with Windows 8 is installed. I saw drag and drop questions on desktop lately, and I'll provide you with a full run down of what past:

  1. this particular case, I wanted to save my mobile by copying and pasting all the files from my phone to a USB (USB Kingston).

  5. I tried to copy and paste / drag and drop an image from my office to the flash drive. Explorer Windows freezes on the rise again.

  6. I tried another flash drive. Explorer Windows froze again.

  Apparently I'm unable to copy files ON a USB key, which makes the backup and backup of things a headache because Windows Explorer stops working every time.

  Can someone point me in the direction of the Windows 2000 drivers for the CT 3010 Portege USB port? I can only find Win 95 and 98, and they do not seem to work.

  I read on some sites that sometimes, the service pack update will solve driver problems. You should check if you have installed all SP for W2k.

• Question about mobile USB modem

  I have Toshiba Equium with Vista Home Premium. I connect to the internet via a modem mobile after. It comes pre installed with it pilots just plug and it installs its own software.

  I noticed that it will work only on the USB port when I installed originally on and not the other. I uninstalled the software and tried to install another port and it works if it s not the USB ports.

  Sorry, Garbi but I don't understand what your problem is. According to your assignment, this modem works with your computer satellite phone. The modem is recognized correctly and I see no problem here.

  Either way, this modem has nothing to do with Toshiba and if you have problems to connect to the internet, you should contact support huawei.

  Just ordered a L30-105, but have you noticed that there are only 2 USB ports. Is it possible to increase this via a card extension (or any other solution!)?

  Because I have broadband via USB, an optical mouse, 2 printers, external hard drive (for music - pictures etc) and a photo card reader, it looks like I can have lost a decent amount of money by buying the L30-105.

  Unfortunately, the only one in which you can add additional USB ports is to use a hub powered of some sort to increase the number of USB ports available. Using a powered hub will ensure that your USB devices all receive enough power to function properly.

  You might also consider a PCMCIA interface card that will provide two ports USB, but this will obviously prevent you to use your PC for other purposes. I just use a map on my A30 from time to time.
