• Trouble using NI USB-4065 with virtual machine VMWare

  Hello

  I'll be working with a virtual machine (windows xp) and I need to use an NI USB-4065 DMM.

  When I connect the USB-4065 to the PC, the virtual windows xp recognizes the new HW and also MAX display the new device on the list DAQmx.

  It seems ok, but if I try to use the USB-4065 (open the soft cover or in a LabView VI), the device does not work.

  If I use the frontpanel app, when I click a botton, the Group seems to work but doesn't measure anything; If I try to reboot the softpanel, it works and 'freeze' of the screen.

  If I use LabView, the VI returns an error on a maximum duration of the measure.

  I'm trying to use the device on the real machine (not with VMware) USB-4065 works, whith flexible Panel and whith VI.

  I update the driver of the DMM on the virtual machine, beats the device still doesn't work.

  ... I don't have any other idea, can anyone help me with this problem?

  You are assuming that you need access to lower level functions in order to obtain the higher sampling rates. In order to get these speeds, we need to disable some settings that are not accessible via Signal Express. You can create a VI and then use a step VI call in Signal Express to stay in the same environment.

  Hi, I'm working on a project where there partly to measure resistance values in different parts of the circuit. Now, the company where I work currently at wants to get the NI USB-4065 USB. I use visual studio 2005 c# to develop applications and I need to know if I needed measurement studio or are there drivers (dll) just to get the values of resistance and General measures of circuit. I have need the controls or anything, just to programatically read the NI USB-4065 USB key values when I need the application.

  Yes, you can have several NI 4065 DMM in your system. When you use the API OR-DMM, you open the handles separately for each DMM by using its name. His name can be configured inside the measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX).

  I think that you are referencing this knowledge base.  After a few tests, and worked with the R & D group, it seems that the effects of input connections are perceived during the passage of two ways.  When the current entries are connected, a less accurate voltage reading occurs.  As such, please disconnect the current inputs for a measure of tension (as well as disconnect with tension when taking a measurement of current entries, who you know).

• Question on size USB for upgrade to blu - ray player

  I have a question: if I want to move (for example bdx2300) Toshiba blu - ray player, the Toshiba site says (instructions for the installation of the upgrade in the guide 'how to upgrade the F/W'):

  "Firmware update requires USB Reader of maximum size of 2 GB. .... "

• Really simple (hopefully) question about GPIB-USB-HS

  I tried to reconnect a GPIB-USB-HS to a network through a PC HP on shelf Analyzer. Before removing the GPIB-USB-HS system about a week or two ago, Network Analyzer (a vintage 1989 HP 8720 vector Network Analyzer) had worked well with the GPIB unit. Now that I reconnected the GPIB device to network monitor, measurement and automation seems not be able to detect the Network Analyzer.

  My question is: if my GPIB-USB-HS appear in measurement and automation, and it passes the NOR-488. 2 troubleshooting of HW and SW utility test, it would be safe for me to assume that whatever connection problems I have with the Analyzer network, rather than with the GPIB-USB-HS itself?

  I finally got the connection working again. I just had to tighten the screws on the GPIB-USB-HS to make sure it's a good connection to the Network Analyzer so that it can work.

  I'm working on setting up autoplay to open our software on your computer when the USB connection for a new product, we are about to launch. I can get the AutoPlay dialog box appears, but it is empty.  He considers the virtual device as a com port.

  What you want to do is go to FTP server area of the router on the @192.168.1.1 Storage tab and configure the port to use and what part of the disk that you want to share. Here's a guide for this.

  Also, make sure that you have chosen a password for the administrator account on the storage. If I remember correctly, it is different from the router password you choose.

  Then all you have to do is to get an FTP client and type the user name "admin" password, IP address and port number. FileZilla client is a good program.

  If you want to use a web browser, the format is ftp://youripaddress: Port number

  Don't forget to use your public IP (displayed in the status tab of the router) or you can set up a free dyndns account to make the format ftp://selected_url: Port number. In other words, unless you do not have a problem in recalling your static public IP address

  Then, restart the computer.

  I have Toshiba Equium with Vista Home Premium. I connect to the internet via a modem mobile after. It comes pre installed with it pilots just plug and it installs its own software.

  I noticed that it will work only on the USB port when I installed originally on and not the other. I uninstalled the software and tried to install another port and it works if it s not the USB ports.

  Sorry, Garbi but I don't understand what your problem is. According to your assignment, this modem works with your computer satellite phone. The modem is recognized correctly and I see no problem here.

  Just ordered a L30-105, but have you noticed that there are only 2 USB ports. Is it possible to increase this via a card extension (or any other solution!)?

  Because I have broadband via USB, an optical mouse, 2 printers, external hard drive (for music - pictures etc) and a photo card reader, it looks like I can have lost a decent amount of money by buying the L30-105.

  Unfortunately, the only one in which you can add additional USB ports is to use a hub powered of some sort to increase the number of USB ports available. Using a powered hub will ensure that your USB devices all receive enough power to function properly.

  You might also consider a PCMCIA interface card that will provide two ports USB, but this will obviously prevent you to use your PC for other purposes. I just use a map on my A30 from time to time.
