  This is a normal behavior. You need not use the space bar to move a selection.  Just have the chosen selection tools and have the cursor within the selected area.  Then just left-click and drag.

  I can't copy and paste using the Rectangle tool. When I click and try to draw the dotted outline, I just get the coordinates X and Y. When I'm on the ellipitcal selection tool, I get the dotted lines and can

  I use the latest version of the CC of the Illustrator. When I draw a rectangle by using the rectangle tool, I no longer seem to be able to select the corners to resize the rectangle or the cursor turns to a rotate icon when I put the mouse just outside the angle. Now I know that AI rectangles treated CC differently, with the direct rectangles and rounded corners options and the processing area opening automatically. What I was asking and hope is not the case, is if it's that costs that can go right and resize using just the mouse? I know that there is the "object > shape > Expand" option, but having to do whenever I have a rectangle is time consuming and adds and the extra step that was necessary before.   I'm afraid that have met you the Rectangle Live bug that is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

  Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

  To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

  A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  I solved my problem.

  I inserted a background image in each slide master question.

  When we look at the model of slides or slide on the timeline, the slide would be good lokk. All text objects and drag, including responses, would be present on the slide as they should.

  However, once published, the background image would cover the fields of the form allows you to select the right answers. Not only prevents the user to select an answer, but also caused major problems with the audio tracks and CC after the quiz.

• Select only the objects in a rectangle selection

  I am a new user of Illustrator CS5, switching from Freehand. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to select only the objects in a marquee? In AutoCAD, you can make a selection on the left window to the right and only those objects entirely in the window are selected. If you the window right on the left all the objects that are "crossed" or affected by the window are selected. Is there a similar technique in Illustrator?

  Currently, I have to select the objects, and then go back and hold the SHIFT key to deselect the object I don't want, or place objects on different layers and then lock the layers to prevent additional items get selected.

  In AutoCAD, my main program, you simply draw a window selection, left or right, depending on what your next step would be. No special tools or rocking or thinking, that's just the selection primary process and very intuitive.

  I posted a discussion on the Illustrator forum several months ago, which still arouses comments so this seems to be a tool that would be appreciated by many users. Someone posted a script but it has not worked for me yet.

  This is a copy of my last post of the original thread. I found some discussions confused because I have no experience in writing or by using scripts. So I copied all the recommendations in a document to read without the comments and digressions. After several hours and a lot of searching on Google I found what solution adapted to my goal, which was a selection process fast and simple with fewer steps to use.

  So, I think I have this job. The following is what I did:

  1 copy the script by Carlos Canto post #11 here:

  2. open the ExtendScript Toolkit Utilities > Adobe utilities - CS5.5 > ExtendScript Toolkit CS5.5 > ExtendScript Toolkit CS5.5.App

  3. when the program opens, paste the script in the large Panel on the left.

  4. then go to file > save as.

  5. that the dialog box click on the arrow next to the save box slot to expand the section options.

  6. next, go to Applications > Adobe Illustrator CS5.1 > Presets > en_US > Scripts.

  7. then, in the Save as box enter a name to identify the script (I named mine Window1).

  8. click on save and close the Toolbox.

  Launch Illustrator and open a drawing.

  1 using the rectangle tool, I drew a rectangle around the objects.

  2. make sure that the new rectangle is selected.

  3. I went to file > Scripts > Window1.

  4A got an error message - error 8705: target layer cannot be changed 25-> iart.selected + true line:

  Oops, you must have ALL unlocked layers.

  5. you click OK.

  6 unlocked all the layers.

  7. my new activated rectangle.

  8. went to file > Scripts > Window1.

  9 here! Items in the rectangle are selected and the rectangle is removed.

• Rectangle selection tool - force

  Is there a way to force the rectangle and the circle of the selection of squares and circles tools?

  I seen an option myself. (At the time current, you can only expand/collapse the current selection and any attempt to resize using the transform option also transformed the pixels in the selection.)

  Maybe something for the wish list.

• Illustrator questions 15.3 - selection tools, Shift key not working not properly

  Hi, my Illustrator started doing strange things, I'll work away and then the Selection tool will decide Exchange with the direct Selection tool or the SHIFT key function will not perform as it should. There is obviously something upsetting, but I don't know what! Any thoughts?

  I use a Wacom Intuos5 (driver is up to date) and I'm on the retina of Macbook pro 15 "/ OSX El Capitan."

  Looks like the same thing again... Seems you will get a power of 300w with this computer regardless of the video card. No real difference between this and other computers.
