  • Satellite A500-1GL: 2 questions: the fan speed & graphic card driver failures

    Hello

I have 2 questions, hopefully someone can help me with that.

    * The first question - quick fan *.

I'm on online gamer second life and world of the craft of war) recently my fan speed crank up to 90 percent for about 5/10 minutes before leaving quiet. Then speed up again after a period of time. I'm confused as to why he did this because when I check my cpu temp is only make 40%, and I use a cool buffer table.

I'm looking for some advise here because all said Toshiba was making sure I had the latest bios update. But I would have thought it is not the processor overheating the fan must not be crank that quickly. My laptop is only 2 months old.

Can anyone help, should I be worried?

    * Second question - graphics driver *.

Also on a couple of times I got my screen briefly go black and then recover. A pop up appears saying something along the lines of the core of the graphics card.... Driver recovered. It flashes if fast, that I never see the entire message. Don't you think that something is wrong with the graphics card? (card nividia geforce gt300m)

I really hope that someone can offer more help that Toshiba has done, as I am a bit unhappy to be problems on a 2 month old laptop.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to any Advisor.

The cooling fan is controlled by the fan table in the BIOS. Fan table contains information about the temperature and the fan speed that means the depands on some level temperature fan speed.
Over all the possible game features as the CPU, GPU, produce heat and the heat dissipation is high
Cooling modules would begin to turn faster if the temperature level would be exceeded
This is nothing exceptional everything at stake

I read on a similar question, and apparently, the graphics card DRIVER crashed during games
Maybe it's a compatibility problem between game and pilot
In most cases the graphics card driver update should fix this and I read on some forums that it has helped in many cases

  • HPE h9 - 1110t Phoenix CTO: Questions about change of graphics card

Hello, my computer is a HP Pavilion HPE h9 - 1110t Phoenix CTO desktop PC. I think it's time to replace the graphics card, it's come up with, the GeForce GT 545. Lately my performance in games such as Star Wars The Old Republic has considerably decreased in FPS and it stutters terribly while he was playing even on the smaller settings. The fan is really loud when the games. And in the past two months, I got two random reboots, which gave rise to a video as material error being the cause. The fan blades have a lot of dust between the two, but they are so small and placed together, I can't clean it good.

I have an EVGA GeForce GT 640 to replace. But I have a few questions first. This card is compatible with my motherboard, right? Second, before installing it, should I uninstall the drivers I have right now for my 545? If so, I then stop and put the new? And after that I put in, the resolution will be all twisted up until I have install new drivers? And should I install the drivers from the NVIDIA site, right and forget the CD?

Also, I have a 600w PSU, fake? That's what the specs say on HP for my computer, so it's going to be enough to have the right to TG 640?

And then, about my diet, I want to get dust inside of it, but I won't come out or open or other. I saw on the site of HP I can take a vacuum and suck the dirt out of the outside vent. Can I do this without damaging it? I have a vacuum in my garage from Sears, I got that I use to clean my car, which would be allowed to use on the outside vent?

    Thank you for the answers!

    GT545 (75W) and 640 (65W) are only 10W difference.

Uninstall via the Device Manager.  I always liked create a new installation with the latest software and driver CD. If you wish, use the old CD. That will be established. It will update.  If you use a shop vacuum, keep the nozzle in contact with the metal frame. I like the nozzle between 2 fingers from the cradle.

  • Questions about upgrading the graphics card.

    Hello.

I just increased my RAM up to 5 GB. It was before 3GB.

I have a Windows 7 OS 64-bit. I want to install a graphics card. Should what capacity I buy?

    Thank you.

PS: To clarify, I want to use my PC for gaming. So should I buy a 1 GB card or more than that?

Since you don't specify what type of programs you use, no one can say.

If you use standard Office type programs it will matter a lot, if you use graphics software or games it's something different, and that the software would have minimum requirements on this site.

Of course if it is a laptop you are unable to pass the graphics

  • Question, possible loss of graphics card driver?

OK, so about a month or two ago, my computer has a faulty hard drive and I had to replace it with a hard drive in my old laptop, I tried to update directly from the HP site, but could not find the graphics (Radeon 7450) driver. Suddenly, I discovered that windows can get these drivers. Everything was recovered (with the exception of a driver of PCI express), but all my games have been lag, unlike before my hard drive has crashed. Later, I tried to update using Sim drivers, find the PCI express driver and used the graphics card. After this update, I discovered that my graphics card has changed to be Radeon 7450 m for Radeon series 6400 m. I tried to backup, but it unfortunately does not work. Y at - it anway to solve this problem and solve game problems?

    Specifications:

    Pavilion g6t - 1 d 00

    Intel i5 processor

Intel HD 3000 and Radeon switchable graphics 7450 m

    4 GB OF RAM

hard drive 5400 RPM (allows to have the hard drive 7200 RPM, if it would be a big difference in performance)

I am a lover of old computer for 12 years (don't judge me), a client for HP for 4 years now. I enjoy helping people with their computers and put a smile on their face
I work with Windows 7 users, so I'm still learning more about Windows 8.

    Hello:

I suggest you uninstall all graphics drivers (intel and AMD) and install that driver who as you can see on the info system requirements, support for graphic map of 7450M.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-99756-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4063&product=5224961&sw_lang=

It is very important to note that you only need to install the AMD driver for your laptop because it is a driver custom made for adapters of switchable graphics from AMD/Intel that has your laptop.

This file will install the drivers for the two GPUS, and you should never attempt to update the part configuration, Intel graphics (you can periodically receive notifications from Windows Update that new Intel graphics driver is available).

If we succeed in updating the Intel GPU drivers, they have also successfully caused the AMD GPUS to stop working.

  • RAM upgrade and Satellite A200 - 19K graphic card memory:

    Hi all

The Satellite A200 - 19K came with 1024 MB memory system. It's only 2 cards of memory of 512 MB or just 1 memory card 1024Mo in the system of the laptop? I would like to add another a 1024 MB of RAM, is that the slot more be available?

The second question is on the graphics card from NVIDIA. The product specification mentions the graphics adapter as below...

    Manufacturer: NVIDIAî
type: NVIDIAî Geforcea? ¢ GB 7300 supporting Turbocachea? ¢ technology
memory: 64 MB dedicated VRAM (up to 335 MB of total available graphics memory using Turbocachea? ¢ technology with 2 GB of system memory)
memory type: DDR video RAM (resp. video RAM DDR and DDR system memory combined)
connected bus: PCI Express 16 x

My question is, after upgrade from 1024 MB to 2048 MB system memory, is that the card NVIDIA GeForce will be automatic upgrade from 64 MB to 256 MB for graphics memory?

    TAHNKS A LOT!

    Hello
    >, It's only 2 cards of memory of 512 MB or just 1 memory card 1024Mo in the system of the laptop
I think that the laptop came with a module of memory 1 GB and the second Bank should be free.

Now something about the graphics card.
Well, the graphics card GeForce Go 7300 supports own graphics memory 256 MB (no shared memory!)
But it also allows a dedicated memory.
This amount of memory is variable and depends on the available main memory.

I think that everything runs automatically and you will not need to change the settings to assign this memory dedicated after main memory upgrade

  • Adding new graphics card...

I have a HP Pavilion p7-1235 with A8-5500, Radeon 7560 D onboard graphics processor and running Windows 7. I intend to add a discreet graphics card, but also an improved power. I did some research on what card/power to get and have reduced a little in mind. But my question is the integrated graphics card will automatically deactivate when the system detects the discreet card? Or I have to mess with the BIOS? Any help or a link to the instructions for this process would be greatly appreciated!

This image needs. It's thecard from the motherboard installed in your PC. As soon as a video card, motherboard BIOS disables the onboard video. You don't have to make any changes on your own for that to happen.

  • Update my husbands graphics card!

Hi, I need help. We just bought a dell liked for my husband to use. Year 2004. Works great but hes a gamer and the graphics card will not support its games. If we want to update but I can't yet find a way to understand what the current graphics card is on it. When I provide information system, that's what it gives me:

    System:

    Microsoft Windows XP

    Professional

    Version 2002

    Service Pack 3

    Computer:

    Intel (r)

    CPU Pentium 4 3.00 GHz

2.99 GHz, 2.12 GB of RAM

Really, we want to update the graphics card but are on a budget and my exact question is, what the graphics card this system currently has and can it handle better updated? Also when we bought it, it told us that it is a dell 8300 p4.

There may be no card which will be fast enough to run WOW in your system... it's so old he can't stand not all modern cards.

  • I can't find a compatible Nvidia graphics card and monitor system of the body/Neo3D 3D

Adobe first Pro CS5.5 / specification tecniques (http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html) lists the graphics cards that can be used to accelerate video editing.  I want to set up a system similar to what Dave Helmly is described (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqi_qivG82c) with a computer 3D monitor and 3D TV secondary screen.  However, the 3D monitors that I saw as an Asus (http://usa.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VG236H/#overview) indicate graphics cards Nvidia that no overlap with those specified on the website of the organization.  Also, I found no towers locally that come with an appropriate Nvidia card.  I found some that have a free PCIe slot.  I need two cards in any case; However, the graphics card that comes with some of these machines specifies a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600.

    Here are my questions:
    (1) what Nvidia graphics cards are both supported by the Organization and support of 3D monitors?  I'm looking on the bad feedback?  The Alienware site does not specify which graphics cards are compatible.
    (2) if the integrated video card has a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600, does mean that if I want resolution 1920 x 1080 for each of the two eyes I need format (output HDMI to 3D TV) alternate-frame sequencing?

I have not bought equipment yet, I am looking for options that work.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Dennis, you need one of the Quadro graphics cards to do what you want (use the Nvidia 3D output). GTX cards will be released to a secondary 3D display, but only side by side and more to the title. I have a GTX 480 which I use with the body and Neo, main monitor is 2560 x 1600 (non - 3D), my secondary monitor is a Sony 32 "3D TV on which I discovered 3D since the timeline and FirstLight mode side by side. To be honest, I change and cut in 2d mode and really only use the monitor 3d for the color calibration (which is different for 3D 2D because of the need to reduce areas of contrast high which cause ghost images) and for the z depth of positioning for the composition and titles.

  • Question graphics card

    Hello all;

I have a HP Slimline 3600t I bought last year. I checked after my video and graphic has been slow real my card 256 MB GeForce 9300 GE fan was unusable. I don't know how long it has been, but I also noticed how the material was hot when I opened the file. I went to put a small house until the hardrive fan until I can get a new card that made the PC now works like a charm! My question is, I checked the part number for this graphics card, but there will be no problem if I switch to the GeForce 9500 with 512 MB card? This part also shows like that can be included with the model 3600t, but I wanted to be sure that I have not put anything else if I made this purchase.

    Thank you-

    Hello

You should be fine with the GeForce 9500GS but probably not with the 9500GT Geforce that requires more power.  Your Power Supply Unit is rated 180W which will restrict graphics cards, you can choose.

    Best wishes

  • Satellite M40x-189: on the HARD drive and graphics card update Question

Hi people just a few quick questions.

    1. a second hard drive can I be mounted on the cell above?... it came with a 60 GB HARD drive
graphics mobile geforce or ati 2. can / will be mounted instead of the integrated graphics card?

the answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

It is not possible to upgrade or replace the graphics card. The graphics card is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard. It s not the same technology as on desktop computers.
Upgrading the HARD drive is something different. It of possible to replace the HARD drive to another. But before you replace the HARD drive, you must check if the HARD disk is compatible and if the BIOS will recognize.
Sometimes the BIOS cannot recognize the hardest.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L505-111 graphics card question.

    Hello world

It is somewhat a noobish question but I'm kinda new to laptops. I bought this laptop Satellite L505-111, and in the specs it says I have ATI mobility Radeon 4650 in the form of graphics card. In any case, it was the main reason I bought the laptop. But when I look at windows (I have Windows 7 64 bit version) care. or through PC Wizard, it tells me I have ATI Mobility radeon 4600 series. Can you tell me if it is ok or why it shows me 4600 series and not of 4650.

    Hey Buddy,

Don t you worry about this, everything is ok with your laptop.

ATI Mobility 4600 series means that all the cards in this series, e. g. 4650 (which you have), 4670 or 4630, etc..

On my desktop it s the same. Here, I have Radeon 4870, but the pilot shows only 4800 series. ;)

  • Satellite 1410-question on graphics card

I bought a satellite 1410 401 and I'm having a lot of problems with my graphics card, with images that I see black glitter spots through the moving image (no problems with stills however) (I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers) which is quite annoying.
I am also annoyed by the fact that this graphics card doesn't support Pixel shader and that he only has 16 MB of RAM (not shared) my (/are) is or questions: is there a way to get rid of these pesky black pixels and is it possible to replace or update my video card?

    Hello

I don t think that the black spots are a fault of a graphics card.
You say you use the graphic driver nVidia. This is not correct. You must use the original graphic driver Toshiba or this unit. What you can find on the Toshiba site. Sometimes to watch certain files avi or mpeg your need a different codex. You can find lots of information on this topic.
In addition, you can change primary parts (memory, hard disk) on you unit but it of impossible to replace the graphics card.

    Good bye

  • Y410p Graphics Card upgrade Question

Last December, I bought a y410p and I am extremely satisfied with it, but I would like to ask in an another GT 755 m graphics card into the ultrabay slot, but I've been able to find a removable graphics for the y510p card. I was wondering if anyone knows if and when the y410p version will be released, or if there is no alternative. As if put the graphics y510p card in my y410p made / work or any other alternative. Thank you in advance.

Y410p is not made to accommodate a second card of GT755M.

Although there was some mods which people have implemented to adapt to a card in the Ultrabay slot. The mod includes changing the case of card GT755M to insert into the slot.
