Y410p Graphics Card upgrade Question

Last December, I bought a y410p and I am extremely satisfied with it, but I would like to ask in an another GT 755 m graphics card into the ultrabay slot, but I've been able to find a removable graphics for the y510p card. I was wondering if anyone knows if and when the y410p version will be released, or if there is no alternative. As if put the graphics y510p card in my y410p made / work or any other alternative. Thank you in advance.

Y410p is not made to accommodate a second card of GT755M.

Although there was some mods which people have implemented to adapt to a card in the Ultrabay slot. The mod includes changing the case of card GT755M to insert into the slot.

  • H8 - 1012c: h8 - 1012c Graphics Card upgrade Question

I recently bought an EVGA 750 TI and discovered that HP brings more updates BIOS who makes it impossible for the operation of a multitude of cards.

I was going through the forums and saw that the MSI GTX 750 TI has a VBIOS compatibility mode that could work with the old BIOS on the old cards.

My question is, this card will be compatible with my system, or BIOS is just too old for the 700 series?

    Hello

Look at the names of the models as there are has variations that appear to be identical.  Cards that I've referenced have 'TF' in the model name.  Follow the links to NewEgg.

  • The graphics card upgrade issues...

I recently bought this graphics card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=5660536&sku=A271-5774

Also, I advanced and bought this power supply: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276573

I own a HP Pavilion a6414 and this is my first video/graphics card upgrade.  I did a good bit of research and I know that I have the PCI E x 16 appropriate for the card slot and the power SUPPLY 650 Watt PSU to insert in the ATX case. I measure the UAP present btw.  I'm a little worried about the upgrade of the power supply, because I read somewhere (I think it's here on this forum) that some HP tech rep said a person who upgrade the power supply could not be performed on the a6414, but I don't see why not.

My other concern is about the speed of the processor to the graphics card and possibly voltage problems, but I think the power SUPPLY Ultra PSU will be fine.  Either that it is my first time to play with the graphics card and PSU, I'm looking for advice on the compatibility between these three components, i.e. the model, the card and the power supply.  Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

I installed everything today and it works like a charm.  I had read so much about the HD 5770 not recognized by HPs and the test of the power supply, but everything worked so far.  I bought a LG LED 20 "monitor today as well, and everything looks great.  Thanks for all the advice guys...  The links you provided helped with Dave BIOS, thanks.

I need to have my CPU and graphics card upgraded to the requirements below please add link/s that will help me

I need to improve my processor 1.90 GHz to 4 GHz (at least 2.66 GHz). Then please add a link/s to this processor/s that I can use to upgrade my laptop to 2.66 GHz at least, or reach 4 Ghz.

    Video card
I also need to improve my video card from the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G to a DirectX 11 with 2 GB of video ram (at least 1 GB of video ram). Please add link/s on what card video/s who reach the requirements I need.

    Thank you

    Here's the problem with that:

    AMD A6 - 4400M, Max 3,2 GHz / 2.7 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, Dual-Core,.

    AMD - A4 - 4300M, 3.0 GHz maximum / 2.5 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, double

Above are your graphics options for laptop. If yours is 1.9 ghz it cannot the A8, which is the best CPU and GPU option available. The video is part of the processor. There is just no way for you to improve the graphics capabilities of this laptop. It may seem like the A-6 is better because it works to 2.7 ghz, but there only 2 hearts: you have 4. And the 7520 graphics are lower than what you have. That's what you try to do? There is not too many computers that reach 4 ghz, not to mention a laptop.

  • question the m9515y graphics card upgrade

After a little more than 2 years, the graphics card in my m9515y failed and I am looking to improve it to something in the sense of a GeForce 465 and also upgrade the oem power supply 550 watt or better power supply Ultra.   My concern is the wire (black and white) which extends from the current GeForce 9400 pay-per-view mother connector JSPD1 and is included in this unit by the factory.  I can find no reference as to what this thread is for, and if it will be necessary for the new video card.

Hoping that someone will be able to answer this question for me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Gordon

    Hi Gordon,.

The cable between the card and the motherboard is most likely an SPDIF connection, even if it is not labeled as such.

Are you using or plan for the use of the SPDIF output on the back of your PC?

You can get audio via the HDMI port on the 465 NVIDIA Digital.

The Corsair CX 600 (600 watts) or the CX 500 (500 watt) power should work for your needs well.

This GTX 550 TI is the same performance with the 465, consumes less energy and less expensive.  Some of the 550 GTX s have a differnet output ports configurations so you might need to look a little bit to determine which meets your needs. www.Newegg.com has what need you.

graphics mobile geforce or ati 2. can / will be mounted instead of the integrated graphics card?

the answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

It is not possible to upgrade or replace the graphics card. The graphics card is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard. It s not the same technology as on desktop computers.
Upgrading the HARD drive is something different. It of possible to replace the HARD drive to another. But before you replace the HARD drive, you must check if the HARD disk is compatible and if the BIOS will recognize.
Sometimes the BIOS cannot recognize the hardest.

  • H8-1214 graphics card upgrade problem

I have Pavilion h8-1214 and problems for the upgrade of the GPU.  I first tried an EVGA 750-ti, who could start on the HP splash screen, and then go no black and go further.  After a bios update and communicating with EVGA, said that the card would not work just not in this model and it was a known issue with EVGA.  I have since bought a MSI radeon r9 270 x and this map does not work either.  My computer turns on, everything seems to work, but nothing will happen on the screen.

My question is this: I'm going to be able to use a newer GPU model in this machine, or should I look at something a little less powerful?  If the latter, any suggestions?

    Alrin, welcome to the forum.

Most recent most of video cards requires UEFI firmware in the motherboard instead of the standard BIOS.  HP didn't start to fully use UEFI firmware until mid-October 2012.

EVGA cards before the GTX 650 should work with your computer.

Graphics card XFX with n beginning with '0' serial don't require UEFI firmware.  After 2013 these beginning of series # 1 to 8 need.

MSI could not give me that information.  They have simply said that if the customer has a problem to call them to the 1-626-271-1004.  My suggestion is, if you find a card MSI, you want to buy, call them first.  They should be able to help you.

My advice is to call the Technical Support from the manufacturer before buying any video card.

    Best regards, John

With an older system like the 3000, you will only be able to use the old PCI interface for a video card.  These cards are more expensive and there is no reason to spend too much on an upgrade when dealing with older systems like that. Popular cards have been the 6200 Nvidia 8400 GS or the best 9400 GT.  Do not forget only the PCI interface.  No AGP or PCI Express.

I'm not sure what your goal is the upgrade, but don't expect too much.  I know that people have upgraded to these cards to play games like the Sims.  Your system is just old with old parties slow and he can't move much faster with a video card.  You have 3 PCI slots on the motherboard.  Put the card into the top slot of most and move all other cards down lower if installed.  You should probably disable your chart integrated through your device manager before installing a video card for it to work and make sure that the first video is correct in the bios.

  • Pavilion e9280t: the graphics card upgrade

I had to spend my original GeForce GT220 graphics card to use at least three 3 monitors so I bought EVGA GeForce GT 640.  When I installed the card, everything was fine until the computer, install the driver and start then computer began to stop and start several times and then stopped at c prompt and siad it is impossible to find a bootable.  Long story short, I had to use my emergency disk and restart the computer.

Then, I started reading Blogs about the HP graphics card chain and one of technology pointed out I should buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and this card will work without upgrading PSU, so I did.  Now, with the GTX 660 computer card keep start and stop and I can't seem to stop.  I spoke with a few outside tech and they said that I need to improve my diet.  If this is the case, then the HP expertise technology was not entirely accurate or I have another problem.

The UPE recommended are: (1) Corsair HX650 and (2) RS-650.  I also read that this MB Pegatron IPMTB-TK does not many power supplies above 550-650 watts.

Can someone tell me what is my computer problem?  Need to pass the power supply and if I do what PSU I can use?  Model and Type to fit properly in the case?

    HP Pavilion e9280t Truckee-UL8E

    Chipset: Intel X 58 Express

Original power output power: 460 Watt

    Hello

The differences between the reference models and variants will vary according to the manufacturer.  See the image below and notice number 6 power connectors that are necessary.  Depending on the configuration of your PC, a GTX 660 can't get enough power to the 460 watt power supply in your PC. As I said earlier, I didn't have a question of power using the EVGA GTX 660.  Graphics NVIDIA GTX 660 cards are border line with some power supplies according to the design of the PSU and the loading PC.

The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would be excellent choices. Note: the power supply fan is mounted upward toward the top of the Cabinet because it will shoot in the air fresh from along the edge of the top side entries.

  • The Dell Dimension 9200 graphics card upgrade

I am looking to update my graphics card on a Dell Dimension 9200 and I was wondering if the Nvidia GeForce GT 430 would work with the pc, I have a Nvidia 7900 gt. I am open to both recommendations.

My current pc features, Windows 8 version Preview (upgrade to windows 8 Pro in a few days), 4 GB of ram, intel dual core 2.13 ghz.

    Hi gaz492,

The graphics card you have mentioned should work on the Dimension 9200.

Food that has been delivered with the computer is 375W which is more than the bloc power to the graphics card. Details of the graphics card: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-430/specifications

In addition, providing the link for the specifications of the computer:

NOTE from the ADMIN: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell >

Add the link to the manual for Dimension 9200, which is also known as the XPS 410:

There are a lot of compatible adapters to the computer: here is a list of the latest graphics cards that run on the desktop computer:

    1. nVidia GeForce GT 440.
    2. ATI Radeon HD 6570.
    3. ATI Radeon HD 6670 (requires minimum 400W).
    4. ATI Radeon HD 7750 (requires minimum 400W).

Usually if the video card is updated on the computer, you must upgrade the power too as the power supply on this computer is 375W.

Answer please if you have any other questions.

CC, Yes, you can upgrade the video card.  The PSU 460W, you should be able to buy a very good card.  The only limit is the length of the card.  I am not sure, but I think that any map 9.5 "or less must adapt.  You can measure to be sure.  Open the case and the extent of the edge of the box to the opposite side of the motherboard where the PCIE x 16 slot.  It's the approximate card that fits.  From the looks of the plug, I would say that the computer should be a very good player.
