Questions about support

Dear community of cloud!

I have a few questions about the service of adobe support.

First of all, I would ask which includes the support service. I am also curious about the length of the reaction and the way they treat the problem can occur. Receive problem reports directly into the program I use, or do I have to write a separate message in a service address or Skype etc are decent ways to communicate with them?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Service varies down the line insofar as this support is provided and when/how quickly it is provided.  Some people are very satisfied with the support that they get and others are not.  These user forums are one of the support options and usually you will get a response fairly quickly, and if you provide a detailed problem statement you can usually get a solution.  If a solution is to contact Adobe customer service, there is not much anyone can do here in the forums except to the provide information to contact. • Question about support for LabVIEW DLLS and Unicode

    Hello

I have a question about LabVIEW and DLL functions calls.

I use a DLL (sorry, I can't share it) that was written in C. It was written to support Unicode and non-Unicode function calls.

The Unicode function is valid, then FunctionNameW is called if FunctionNameA is called.

I am building a few VI to access the library. I have the regular functions of FunctionNameA work.

My question is, does LabVIEW support versions of function FunctionNameW Unicode, and if so is it necessary Although LabVIEW is already working with the standard function call?

Am I being redundant or what should I build in Unicode support?

The first time I tried to test the Unicode functions, I had an error, and I guess this is a system setting.

Thank you for your time in advance.

    DB_IQ wrote:

I don't think I have TO implement the Unicode, but I want if I can.

For what I do, I think almost it is not serious. But I wanted to know if it could be used.

The short answer is "Yes, you can do it."  However, it may open a new Pandora's box.  If you're not careful, problems and complications that can still spread to other projects that are not using Unicode!  It is better not to summon this monster unless there is absolutely no other way to do the job.

  • Question about Support for creative cloud

I think I have about 20 days left of the original support provided with my subscription to creative cloud. How to use this support? I do not think that I talked to support others in the product help questions yet. I also need to know what kind of support I should buy after that is exhausted. I am a designer who started to build websites with Muse. I also try to understand the Business Catalyst accommodation. "Thank you", in advance!

You should post your questions in the forum Business Catalyst here http://forums.adobe.com/community/business_catalyst. They will be able to help you.

  • Question about support of Ubuntu host platforms

According to the user's guide, the latest version of vmware server-supported Ubuntu is 8.04, which becomes a bit long in the tooth.

-Are there a plan in the near future to support a newer version of ubuntu?

-people run vmware server 2 on the latest versions of ubuntu without any significant problems?

    Hello

You must run vmware server 2 on Ubuntu 8.04 without problems. It works very well because it is fully supported.

Anyway people running vmware server 2 on Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10. It is not supported and sometimes some questions (weird), but it should work.

If you want to install vmware server on ubuntu 9.04 or 9.10, I recommend you visit the "VMWare server 2 install problems" section in this post.

  • Question about support for type SATA T430

    Hello

I just want to know if thinkpad T430 has support SATA III or only the SATA II version, bcs, I can't find a data sheet on interface (only on drives that go with).

My Vertex 3 SSD only works in SATA II, that's why I'm asking this.

    Thank you.

main and secondary SATA ports are capable SATA III. mSATA port is SATA II.

  • A small question about support for Compaq 615 and Win8

So, it's simple, really - I want to see if HP is going to be new drivers for the 615, or he is relegated to the status of "abandoned". I want to confirm that, because one of my friends want to upgrade half a dozen of those who have windows 8 (he bought several as gifts to his family) and that they do not meet the conditions for its normal daily use - 2.2 GHz/4 GB DDR2/UEFI...

HP publishes only W8 drivers for systems manufactured after October 1, 2011.

They could increase this but is doubtful.

Some drivers W7 W8 will work.

  • Question about support export using predefined option 'Match Source - broadband'

HI - looking for a few tips here:

One of the first things I want to do after the shoot is to create a backup with all my usable images file (I'm shooting video air with the camera running all the time, so more most of my images is disposable). I would have thought that to preserve all the data/full resolution, etc. I should just export with option 'Match Source - broadband', but I am amazed as to how small the file size is proving to be. I shoot at 4K, so I'm expecting this option to export full 4K. But if I export 1080 p even this file ends up larger than the Source Match option. And compared to use export YouTube 4 K setting, the Option to Match Source is a fraction of the size. Then where all data goes? What will I lose? He applies a form of compression? And what is the best option to preserve the full resolution/data export?

    Thank you!

    Jacques

I guess that 'source' = MP4 of origin off the camera files.

"Source" in this case the resolution, frame rate, NOMINAL, etc..  It does not consider codecs and bitrates.

What I want to do is made usable in MP4 pictures, as it comes off the camera without any loss.

You can not.  H.264 is a codec.  If you want to keep the quality, you need a different codec, that which two I mentioned earlier.  If you're working in 4K, however, you are actually limited to UT as the only viable option for now, because the version of 4K of DNx is not yet implemented in the Adobe software.

  • Question about support for power management in the comments on a laptop.

    V6.5.2 workstation

    Home XP/32

    Guest XP/32

The icon of power (in the taskbar) in the prompt comes as being powered by the source. When I host out of battery power, the host icon changes to a battery, but the comments icon shows always operated by HQ should change to a more battery?

Cool, glad it finally works for you.  I can't give you an answer to why it was crumbly at first.

I had asked the virtual hardware version, because I believe that the battery information parameter has been added in Workstation 6.0 - for virtual material must be at least at this level (virtualHW.version = 6 or greater).

  • Questions about reinstalling Windows XP after the end of Support

Several members of the family of my friends that I sometimes provide technical assistance for are still under XP SP3 on their systems.  These systems are too outdated and underpowered to upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and it will probably be some time until they are able to upgrade to a more recent hardware capable of running most modern versions of Windows.

If in the meantime, something happens to one of their computers requiring a reinstall of Windows after support for XP purposes, but before they can get a newer computer, I have a few questions about what will happen:

    1. Is there still a way to activate their existing copies of XP during installation process?
    2. While I understand that new patches, updates, patches & will be is no longer provided, existing patches will be available through the Microsoft Update service so that I would be able to get those computers to update state that they would be about to XP supported ends, or do I have to search elsewhere to try & find these updates?  (It would be nice if Microsoft put up a cumulative update that would be sort of a mega-patch for people in this situation to be able to get back to the most current state systems, but I would not be surprised if there wasn't such a thing).

Anyone know the answers to these questions?

    Thank you

You should be able to clean install and activate Windows XP.  You should be able to upgrade as well, even if the wise move would be to get the updates stored on portable media or integrated into a multimedia installation (or both) as soon as POSSIBLE if the plan is to continue using Windows XP for a while.

My suggestion is to set up and to buy Windows 7 Professional renovated systems / lease from places like TigerDirect.com - as pricing is generally about the same as just a license for Windows 7 or a little professional, the hardware specifications of these machines are likely machines Windows XP current in use, using something like the PC Mover take care of Laplink and Microsoft to move files (or for the more than 25 USD the) applications that can be moved as well) to the new system of the former is possible, and Windows 7 will get updated until 2020.

Recently research I've seen systems to Windows 7 Professional for as little as 150 USD with 4 GB of memory and dual core processors.  Not bad.

  • A few questions about the difference between the Satellite P70, L70, S70

    Hello, I have a lot of questions about the P70, L70, S70 series that come with a 1920 x 1080 panel.

    (1) what are the differences between the L70 and S70 series? With the exception of the RAM and HARD drive capacity, books seem pretty identical.

    (2) P70, L70, S70 doesn't support a 2nd HARD drive or it's just the P70 series that support?

    (3) all the three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT panels?

    (4) of the above series, which supports mSata?

    (5) all the model of each series are delivered with support from mSata? For example, it could be that L70 - a - 13 m supports mSata is not the case of the L70-a-146?

    (6) all the foregoing, are delivered with a S - ATA II or III S - ATA interface?

    (7) who is the best of these series listed? I'm trying to understand what makes the big difference of S70 to P70 except for the envelope for example.

    Thank you in advance.

    > (1) what are the differences between the series L70 and S70? With the exception of the RAM and HARD drive capacity, books seem pretty identical.

What models Sat L70 and S70 do you mean exactly? There are different L70-xxx-xxx and S70 models on the market that supports different hardware specifications.

    (> S70 2) P70, L70, support a 2nd drive HARD or is - it just the series P70 that support?
As you can see in this [Sam P70 HDD replacement document, | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3903II0000R01.htm] the P70 series supports the 2nd drive Bay HARD, BUT even if there is a 2nd HARD drive Bay, this does not mean that you can use the 2nd HARD drive. In the case where the 2nd HARD drive Bay are equipped with HARD drive connector, you can use the 2nd HARD drive

I also found the [Sam L70/S70 HDD replacement | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm] the document on the Toshiba page and there I see this 2nd HARD drive Bay is not available

(> 3) all three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT panels?
See point 1). Different P70, L70, S70 models were equipped with different material parts.

(> 4) of the series above, which takes in charge mSata?
As far as I know that some P70 models are equipped with an mSATA SSD of 256 GB.

(> 5) do all the model of each series are delivered with support mSata? For example, it could be that L70 - a - 13 m supports mSata is not the case of the L70-a-146?
See point 4) not all models supports the same hardware specifications

(> 6) all of the above, come with a S - ATA II or III S - ATA interface?
I don t think that SATA III is supported. I guess it would be SATA II

(> 7) which is the best of these series listed? I'm trying to understand what makes the big difference of S70 to P70 except for the envelope for example.
Not easy to answer because there are too many models released in Europea.
And not all models are available in each country. So I guess you will have to look for the models that have been released in your country.

  • A few questions about the upgrade on Satellite A300-144

Sorry for the typos, English is not my mother tongue.
I want to ask some questions about the upgrade of a300-144.

    * Some info first.*

    CPU: T2370 ([http://ark.intel.com/products/34445/Intel-Pentium-Processor-T2370-1M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB]).
    Chipset: GM965 ([http://ark.intel.com/products/29821/Intel-82GM965-Graphics-and-Memory-Controller]).

    * Questions.*

    1. my frequency of laptop memory at 533 MHz, supports 667 MHz memory controller, memory modules can work at 667 MHz. Is - this because CPU FSB 533 MHz frequency and new processor at 667/800 MHz FSB will fix it or it is hardcoded in the BIOS?

2 Intel said that the size of max memory for my chipset is 4 GB (2 x 2 GB), but Toshiba says that only 2 GB (2 x 1 GB), who is right?

3 I know, taken of my CPU is μFCPGA-478 aka socket P, max FSB 800 MHz, max 35 W TDP, so T9500 ([http://ark.intel.com/products/33918/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T9500-6M-Cache-2_60-GHz-800-MHz-FSB]) is a compatible processor or there are some limitations in the BIOS?

The speed of the memory is related on the material. This means that the FSB is responsible for the limitation.
If the FSB would allow support 667 MHz then the memory would also at this speed.

    > 2. Intel says that the size of max memory for my chipset is 4 GB (2 x 2 GB), but Toshiba says that only 2 GB (2 x 1 GB), who is right?
The memory depends on the chipset. So if the chipset supports 4 GB of RAM, you should be capable of this move to 4 GB of RAM

    > 3. I know, my CPU is? FC-PGA-478 aka socket P, max FSB 800 MHz, max 35 W TDP, so T9500 (http://ark.intel.com/products/33918/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T9500-6M-Cache-2_60-GHz-800-MHz-FSB) will be a compatible processor or there are some limitations in the BIOS?

It might be possible that the new processor would be fully supported by the BIOS, but in most cases it should not be a problem if the chipset would support the new processor.
But as far as I know the upgrade of the CPU is not supported by Toshiba or any other manufacturers of portable and its your own risk to run laptop with the new processor.

  • where to post a question about iTunes on the iPhone?

I have a question about a problem with iTunes on the iPhone (iOS), but I do not see a 'Community' with this title (or anything close;  I have no idea what "iTunes U" means).

For lack of a better idea, I just posted to the community "iTunes for Mac", but I don't think that's true.

Please let me know where I should post to an iTunes on iPhone issue.  Thank you.

It should probably be posted in the community Using iPhone Apple Support communities. I'll ask a host spend your question in iTunes for Mac, if it has not already been moved.

EDIT: Just read your message, and I think it's probably better where it is (because you need help syncing your songs via iTunes on your Mac). He should be fine here, but if the moderators believe that he should be somewhere else, they will move for you.

  • Satellite U405D - several questions about overheating/disassembly/upgrading etc.

    Hello

I have several questions about my old one by Satellite U405D-S2910

    1. when it works, after 2-3 hours (I run usually small programs such as safari, msn messenger and bsplayer) CPU gets 85 to 90 C (178-188). When I play age of Empires 2 (come on, its an old game) like 2-3 hours, it stops. What could be the possible reason? Furthermore, let me inform you about the climate of the city I live, 30 c temperature - humidity 25-35% (today).
PS. CPU is AMD Turion 64 X 2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor. Model RM-74

    2. I'm going to disassemble my laptop in order to clean its cooling units (I think at the rate of overheating is this). It does seem like a desktop computer, so complicated. Ive seen a disassembly not to not (btw, its so difficult to spell dismantling :) I think Im going to do this. What are your suggestions on this subject? experiences could help me?

    3. my laptops is Ram 2x2gb PC5300 DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM memory, I want to replace RAM memory 2x2gb MACH XTREME DDR2 1333 MHZ CL9 NOTEBOOK. Should I do it? Fit my portable, stable work? any suggestions?
    PS. motherboard chipset AMD M780V

4 - Finally :), should I use OS 64 - bit or 32-bit OS (win7)? what OS would you use if you were me?

    Thank you.

    Hey Buddy,

1 + 2. I think everything is related to a higher internal temperature and you must clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. That is why it s not necessary to remove, just blow softly and soon the air through the laptop. You can buy such compressed air which squirts of each computer store I think and it takes only 5 minutes.
You can find a useful article about this here:

    3. in my opinion he should forget this update! The speed of the RAM is related to the FSB of the CPU and as much as I know about Satellite U405D it s 667 MHz so it s already the RAM faster than you can have. Save your money and buy a larger HARD drive or in the best case a SSD that can really improve the performance!

    4. in my view, the answer is clear: Windows 7 64-bit.
Only a 64-bit OS supports full 4 GB of RAM. ;)
