• Question of the use of non-traversal license

  Hello world! Wanted to ask a quick question. If endpoint makes a call to another endpoint (via WAN) and each of them is registered in VCS on their sides and then if it will use the non-traversal license of VCS or just one of them?

  Each call and the end point that enter or exit the VCs will have 1 license appeal.  What determines the type of license, either Non-traversal or crossing is less (confirmed by the help guide).

  Calls of traversal VCS: VCS standard video or audio calls, including business-to-business calls, B2BUA calls (for encryption of the media or ice) and interoperability or sent through gateway calls to third-party solutions where the VCS as well takes the call signaling and media of the call. Each call consumes a license of traversal appeal.

  VCS non-traversal calls: here's the VCS standard video or audio calls where the traffic goes through VCS, but the media passes directly between the endpoints, or between an endpoint and another system in the direction of the call. Each call consumes a license non-traversal call. Note that Lync B2BUA calls are classified as non-traversal is called (even if media cross the VCS).

  If you have two endpoint C-series (i.e. CTS-SX20) both recorded on VCS control and also capable of reaching out directly between them (a routing), then in general the call will address as non-traversal call Endpoint, so no license courses will be necessary.

  However if these Endpoint calling each other, but using different protocol (i.e. an end point registered in VCS control only with H323 and other endpoint registered on the CV with SIP), or different IP version (that is to say one with IPv6 and other with IPv4 registration), then control VCS remain media routing in order to manage such scenario of interoperability which will require licensed traversal appeal.

  I have a test of Cisco's VCS running non-traversal 20 and 100 license course. I need once I have start a session of Cisco's Jabber client to one of the cameras (Studios). I want the VCS to consume a license of traversal appeal?

  If you enable interoperability and call Jabber on sip to H323 endpoint. <->SIP h323 will consume a crossing

  Our control of VCS have alarm (warning the number of concurrent calls to non-traversal capacity has approached the limit allowed.) and I want to know what kind of appeal to eat non-transversal license for me to understand and decide how many additional license we need. Vascular control VCS was 10 Non-traversal and 100 courses license. Please help me to check which license (crossing or Non-traversal) used and how lincenses required by call.

  NOTE: I checked recording device in the control of VCS and I see that the protocol endpoint VC both H323 and SIP, while the account Protocol Movi was SIP.

  Take a look at the "call Types and Licensing" section of the VCS administration Guide on pg 378 to detail what types of call will consume what type of license.

  I found info on Cisco telepresence video Communication Server Administrator Guide requiring a few keys options that VCS is restarted before the option key will take effect. In such cases, that an alarm will be triggered on the web interface, which will remain in place as a reminder until the system has been restarted.

  Anyone know if add additional licenses non-traversal VCSC Slave (cluster deployment) require really server restart?

  Only the following option buttons require a reboot of the server:

  • Crossing Server
  • Starter Pack
  • Advanced Security for account (if it is moved in FIPS mode)

  This as well as other key option information is documented in the 'Manage the key Options' section of the VCS X8.7.2 Administrator's Guide from the pg 295.

  As mentioned in the CV data sheet, I know that a VCS can accommodate up to 500 calls from nontraversal.

  But VCS cluster which consists of 6 VCS can treat 2,000, steps 3 000 (6 x 500).

  I wonder how many calls each VCS cluster can handle.

  Is this correct?

  Hi Kotaro,

  even if the 6 servers are taken in charge by vcs cluster however only 4 will be active. So 4 * 500 is 2000 license.

  We use Cisco SX20 and configured the public Ip address,.

  We can receive the call for outside call but not in outgoing call, I tried several public IP address for the test, but none of them does not.

  There is no guardian, address Public Ip directly to the configuration system.

  Please suggest the same

• Questions: call vi dynamically using vi Server

  I have a few questions about the next vi.

  

  1. is there a better way to determine at run time whether a vi is part of a generation or not?

  2. is there a better way to pass values to a dynamic called vi.  Or, better yet, a better way to call a vi dynamically?

  3. when I run the code as shown above in a generation vi does not actually open. It opens fine when it isn't a building.  However, when I call the vi dynamically and activate the vi down right, 2 windows will pop up, the dynamics and the other.  Clues as to what is happening here?

  You did it ensure that your disabled VI is listed as VI to be included in the build specification?  If you do not, when the VI is built in a .exe, the block diagram to disable and the VI it contains are probably be stripped of the .exe

  Calling even the simplest of SQL user-defined function slows the SQL statement.

  It seems that this function is not the simplest user-defined function.  You can do much of the work even appealed to the other.

  These two are the reasons why you may get better performance if you could do what you need to do in pure SQL.  I bet as you can, because the function is essentially just do more SQL.  If nothing else, you could do exactly the thing as a scalar subquery.

• Question about non-renewable submarines

  Hi, we just had our app submission rejected for some reasons our publication is semi-annual. If booth seems not to allow the biannual publication guidelines from Apple, not big thing that we can do about it. However, even if remove us it from the newsstand, if we want the subscriptions we change them to the non-renewable type. So my question is, does DPS support non-renewable subscriptions? Apparently not the documentation that I found.

• Questions call Z2

  Hello people I got my new Z2 Tuesday and im pretty impressed with it so far

  only real issue im having is a call the other day, the other person happened to come through really clear to not be able to hear them at all and said that I sounded very bassy sometimes this has not really reproduced itself a lot and others said I look pretty clear, but when receiving calls that the other person seems quiet a lot I did all the required updates

  so, this could be just a problem of network/signal or it would require a return to the shop?

  I have two screens. The first is called myScreen and is defined in a class file called plotter.java. It works very well. It has a menu that also works.

  What I want to do is to launch a new screen called windshield which is defined in windscreen.java. I tried to do it with the following menu item code, but it does not compile because it does not recognize the windScreen() method:

• isTraversable making the invisible files, rather than non-traversable

  I have some files stored in a folder (a kind of "composed" file) so when the user opens the folder it acts as a file. For now I draw his own little icon and stuff, everything works well except the user can 'double click' on the file and instead of opening it, they will go in there and see all the guts inside. I found the method isTraversable of the FileView object and makes half the job (other half would support double - click to open) However, when I try to use everything that I put no traversable becomes invisible. I guess that his work (I can't browse the file that isn't there), but I would like to be able to choose this file under its weight.
