BlackBerry Smartphones second hand blackberry 9900 rejects the new sim card?

Hello everyone. I intend to sell my Blackberry Bold 9900. However, I fear that the user cannot use a new sim card, like when I tried to place a new phone rejected it, he says "SIM not configured". How can I possibly fix?

I bought my phone as a single unit on an online store, which means that it has never been on a postpaid.

Thank you!

You need to get the device unlocked from a reputable unlocking service. I recommend unlock.berryreview.com

I recently got a Bold 9900 as a gift. In my view, that the phone has been used on the Orange network.

I tried replacing the original Orange SIM card with my SIMcard "pay-as-you-go" three, when I turn on the phone I get the message "SIM not recognized" and a dialog box asking me to enter a code to unlock the SIM card.

Because this means that the phone is locked on Orange network. If so, how can I get the unlock code for the new SIM card?

    Best regards

Hello and welcome to the community!

You have in fact potentially two issues to deal with... When BBs are made, they are "locked" to their original media and cannot be used on any other carrier up to this MEP is unlocked. Reference:

But the error you say does not quite what I'd expect from an MEP lock... but please check after the above and see if your BB is indeed MEP locked... If so, then Yes you need to unlock it until you can use it on any other carrier.

Or - some SIM cards are delivered with a code of their own necessary to unlock and use. But the supplier of the SIM card which should also give unlock code you with this (if that's what applies to your situation).

So, I suggest you check to see if your device is still locked MEP... If so, get a code (you may have to pay) and unlock it. Then try the SIM card again. If it still fails then your SIM card provider.

In addition, please check with your mobile service provider preferred 100% certain that your BB model is 100% compatible with their network for all services.

    Good luck!

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! Bold 9700 is frozen on start up with the new sim card

I tried looking for similar topics but could not find more relevant. everyone seems to have no problem with swapping of cards sim on their fat. If there is a thread already open, I'm sorry. I am really frustrated and really need my blackberry to be operational.

I have a Bold 9700, updated to the latest OS, everything works fine. I recently had some problems with my old sim card so I went to my service provider to change to another (same number, same line, same contract, just a new sim card).

As it is expected that I was told that when my old sim is disabled, simply insert my new and I use my phone as normal.

However, when I did this, the phone was stuck at the loading screen (the bar is all white) for eternity (maybe 5 minutes or more) before moving on to the home screen. There is no charge "security check" bar, the phone is completely frozen, no buttons work, the touch pad does not work, it shows 3G top right without the sign of blackberry, there is no service provider name and from time to time the little loading logo clock is displayed.

I pulled the battery a couple of times and the problem persists. I called the service provider to reactivate the new sim card, they did 3 times, same problem. I inserted the SIM in other non-blackberry phones that I have and it works on all phones. When I put my old sim card in the 9700 disabled, the phone start end in 2-3 minutes, 'check' safety bar according to normal, everything moves, just no connection to the service. When I turn on the phone without sim card it starts fine with a message to say out loud the card sim.

I even went down to the assistance service technique blackberry from my service provider and they were no help. all they could say was 'we must wipe your phone and reload the software' that I'm trying to avoid, and I can do it myself anyway.

My phone is unlocked, comes unlocked here in Singapore, I even checked using the method 'MEPD', all disabled.

This was very frustrating, especially when I need my blackberry for work. What is the problem with my phone? How can the simple replacement of a sim card if difficult on a blackberry when there is problem free for ANY other phone I've ever used? I am now fear when I travel abroad for business and requires a foreign sim card.

had the same problem and eventually happeing is that I had to reload my os permeable, and then insert the sim card and upgrade again.

    consusming time, but worth it

  • How to complete the implementation of process after inserting the new sim card to unlock the phone

Try to unlock the phone more 6s with ATT, but do not know how to perform the implementation of process after inserting the new sim card. I got the unlock code confirmed att.

After the unlock code is confirmed, you will have to restore the unit to the factory via iTunes settings.  He must inform you that the device is unlocked, THEN you change sim cards.

  • BlackBerry Z10 getting the error "SIM card is not compatible.

Hi, I use data perfectly on my z10, until yesterday, he stopped working and get the message 'SIM card is not compatible. Everything works perfectly, I can call, send text and even use wifi. Also, my phone is unlock. Any help would be appreciated.

It is because of problem of transfer of data in general, not made mulfunction Z10 or SIM himself. Most of the time he linked with your data plan with carrier is off or never was on.

So first step that you need is to contact you, technicians of carrier to verify you have a problem you data plan account or not.

  • Don't buy used iPhone 4s, prechecked IMEI whicated it was NOT stolen, however I had no idea of locking Activation. I did buy and install the new sim card, but I'm locked out. New Sim Card would make a difference? Original owner cannot know

The installation of a new Sim Card would affect the ability to unlock Remote Activation?

I bought a used iPhone 4s, prechecked IMEI number, which indicated that it was not stolen, but I had no idea on the lock activation. Former owner is willing to work, but can't figure out what to do (I emailed the help pages Apple), would be the fact that I have installed the Sim Card have affected something

Locking activation is a feature of security built into iOS. Please seethis support document to learn more about locking Activation.

My suggestion would be to contact the original owner and ask him to enter the identifier Apple and password so that you can disable find my iPhone.

    I hope this helps.

  • C168i: unlocked from at & t, but unable to connect to the network with the new SIM card

I brought my c168i from the USA and I can't use it in my home country. I unlocked the phone to at & t, but it connects to the local network with the new SIM in there. It shows "not available" or "no service". What is going on??

If you look at Australia GSM worldwide site, you will see which bands are available in your area. If the bands including the phone does not match the country you are located in the phone up with will not get service. Not all bands are available in all areas. In my view, that the phone only has GSM 850/1900 GPRS. This would mean that you get only service when GSM 850 is available that I don't see 1900 in Australia.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with the new sim card

I don't know why I have such a hard time finding how to do this. It's really making me feel like a * beep * here, so any help will be appreciated

I'm on Sprint here in the United States and I'm on a trip to Romania in a few weeks and I wanted to have my phone all set up in advance. I bought a prepaid SIM Vodafone Romania, and told me that it is active and active international roaming. I tried it in 2 unlocked bolding my 9930 current and my old 9650. All I get is SOS and emergency calling only, both on AT & T or T-Mobile. I can't yet figure out how to get the phone number attached to the card. What's on the map with that he came are BPUK PIN and PUK. And I can't record with MyVodafone on their website without the phone number. I don't really know how to proceed. I was hoping to use SMS in roaming here until I leave.

    Thanks in advance...

I was able to get the activated through e-mails with vodafone SIM. Just post here my solution in case anyone has the same problem.

can I use my iphone to second hand 5s without making the user off icloud because I don't have all the details and its driving me crazy because it is a stupid idea, so I don't see how you can lose a phone

Nothing. Unless the previous owner, clearing his account iCloud, he will remain in the lock of Activation for ever. It is totally unnecessary for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM w / WiFi works only after changing SIM card not

    Hello

I need help (otherwise I would not write here). I have the Bold 9930. Until I left the States, my phone was working perfectly fine... I had an email, BBM, whatsapp, text, etc...

When I arrived in Haiti, I wanted to change my SIM card, then I would be able to use / have a number of Haitian. I don't have an international plan. When the guy put my the Haitian SIM, the phone asked my BlackBerry ID and password. I typed all the two, which were both correct, but he told me that it was a wrong password. The guy told me that the only way I'd be able to 'reset' from my BlackBerry ID would be to disconnect and to do this, it would eliminate all my pictures and everything. I didn't do that so I ended up buying a Haitian phone w / a Haitian SIM card.

At this point, I have two phones. An American with a SIM American (BlackBerry) and a Haitian phone with a SIM card that is Haitian.

When I got home, I turned on my American phone and its WiFi, but my BBM and emails were NOT WORKING! However, my Facebook application and the browser are both works perfectly well.

I restarted my phone several times since yesterday and nothing has changed. I checked this morning to see if it worked, but not luck.

So my question (s) / issue (s) is now:

    1. How can I get my BBM works again? (probably the most important)

    2. How can I get my email working again?

    3. is it possible possible for me to have my BlackBerry (US phone) work with my Haitian SIM card?

    Please, please, please, help.

Unfortunately, the device works as expected. Facebook, the wifi browser work fine on wifi but BBM and email REQUIRE a valid BlackBerry data Plan.

The only way to make it work is to have a BlackBerry data Plan on the Haitian Sim Card.

  • Function of blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Protect after change of SIM card

I just got a new PAYG SIM card for my Betterware and put in my BB Torch.

I got a message from BB Protect had been changed the SIM card, which got me thinking what will happen if the phone was stolen and SIM changed.

I tried the strong ring, the locator and facilities of message on the site Protect - that blocked in "waiting for device to respond.

Does this mean that if the phone is stolen and the SIM changed then BB Protect into force ceases to be useful?

Let's be honest, if the phone was stolen then a new SIM card is likely...

Yes, by changing the SIM card you have unplugged the unit from your BIS account disconnect and it access to you.

Somethings can't be avoided, just as you can't stop the thief of trampling on the device and crushing. No software will 'disable', which.

  • BlackBerry Q5 cannot remove my sim card

Hello, I have been using my BlackBerry Q5 for a long time, and everything has been working fine, no problem. But now, when I want to remove it, I can't, or I do not know how. I have the Micro-Sim Card and I already asked a few people, but nobody knows. I thank very you much for any help.

Open the hood > slightly press the SIM card already inserted

You will hear a slight click and it should appear for removal.

Do not pull the SIM card with first pressing it to dislodge.

Look at this for more information.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Z10 MEP0 - locked Sim Card

    Hi all

I have a very simple problem, but it doesn't seem to be documented

I have a Blackberry Z10 with my french carrier Orange

I've received from them a network unlock code (an official)

I tried this code 10 times and now my camera works fine, but refuse to unlock the network

I introduce the original SIM card, but it will not unlock the net work. I can't use my phone, even with my Orange SIM card

"One or more of your network codes are blocked. This preveting your device to use the Mobile network. Please contact your service provider.

When I contact my service provider "Orange EN" they do not understand and ask me to contact Blackberry "

    What can I do?

After ten attempts have been used, you only a few choice to unlock the device.

There are three ways and only three, to achieve this goal.

    * Purchase a MEP code MEP unlocking unlock Internet provider. Be wise and be sure to buy one with a good reputation and good reviews and comments.

    * IF your unit is under warranty, contact your technical support service provider. Tell them that you have this problem that needs to be remounted at the RIM customer service level. I'll warn that most of the technical support people carrier assume first and think that you are talking about security of the release device, and you have to convince them of the contrary and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device that had the code MEP attempts exhaustion and should (and you have to ask) to have the case escalated to a medium technical level RIM.
    * If your camera is out of warranty, contact directly the RIM. See the information to reach us from the Web site: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ the options that you want to select to talk to the BlackBerry customer service are 3 (for requests of information, orders, billing, e - RMA etc.) then 5 (e - RMA and warranty).

    Make sense? Good luck.
