  very well so I'm trying to take a picture of a text and convert it into paths to use in the 3D environment and has not had any problems before but then made changes to the original text, and when I tried to do it was an odd question that I can't solve. first image is before vectorization is second after, it includes anchor points around the border that has been the size of the original image and when I did the first time that it was still there but when I change the fill color or move in a 3D environment and extrude to the border is ignored, but for some reason now it is not. I tried to remove the anchor points on the circumference, but then he fills / extrude like the third image.   Select the image (screen 3) and convert them into compound path (Cntl + 8). This should make the black areas "knock" off the surrounding borders.

  Really your question does not apply to Acrobat, but rather the creation of programs such as CorelDraw. As a general rule, an export/backup PDF with all fonts embedded. It is the most reliable workflow. Use resulting from these PDF files (or EPS files) with embedded fonts always gives you the full loyalty of the fonts used initially. Describing the text gives out bloated, low quality text. But if you want outlining when the PDF was created, you must do these Exhibitor in your authoring application.

  PS: There is a correction of preflight for text describing in Acrobat Pro DC if you already embedded or installed fonts on your system. We generally do not recommend this high quality, reliable workflow.

• Drawing vectorization technique

  I'm new to Illustrator - so apologies for what is probably a basic question! I'm scanning of simple components on a technical drawing. Here's the line drawings - closed contours (for example, the outline of the cross section of an airplane wing). I try to use Illustrator to convert the vector jpg scan form - save the result as a .dwg file. I am so that import into SolidWorks where I'm trying to extrude the shape of the part before 3D printing.

  In Illustrator, I use vectorization to create the vector representation. However I find that the vector representation seems to take the form of a number of vector representations. segmented. So, in SolidWorks I can obviously not extrude the component.

  Are there additional steps in Illustrator should I use to clean up/unify the vector representation? Your help would be greatly appreciated...

  Vectorization is usually a REALLY difficult interpretation of the object. Best practice would be to trace it with the pen tool. I understand that that's intimidating if you are new to the program.

  I'm new on this forum (I know, need help, so not original) and new to Illustrator.

  I was hoping to find some useful info here, can't seem to find a satisfactory answer elsewhere.

  How I'm currently using Illustrator:

  I scan an inked image (ideally, this would result in a black and white image), adjust the levels with Photoshop (which I'm also new-even less experienced as a matter of fact) and place it in Illustrator.

  I use the vectorization (generally single track, without ignoring the whites, only fills and play with the threshold of 150 about), I expand, unlink, remove the background if necessary and work with paths resulting. I have change the results by hand, might divide some paths, etc.

  My problem:

  I live traced a floral yesterday and was very happy with the paths/fillings resulting - it was very close to my original works of art. Fortunately, I've expanded, divorced, moved a few line drawings and wanted to add some color, only to discover that the white areas are not available to me - the box 'ignore the whites' has been checked when tracing, and I had not noticed. No problem, I thought, let's repeat the trace and uncheck "ignore the whites." This time, the result of the path was different. I tried many combinations of parameters and thresholds and failed to achieve a result which was also close to my original works of art that I had the first time. Some lines [now drawn transparencies with fillings and no shots to be precise] have been inexplicably thinner than before. I summoned my courage and remade the first trace [ignorant White], copied the result, has attracted a top rectangle and used Pathfinder [minus front, less back] operations in order to create the missing pieces of whites.

  Personally I expect it to go around, but NO!

  If I put [created with pathfinder] white on top black traced contours, the contours become narrower looks! Although White has no features, fair fills, looks like they occupy a larger space they are supposed to.

  My questions:

  Why image vectorized for the black outline is different if you choose to not to ignore the whites? [and of course, you keep all other settings even]

  Why do the pathfinder operations [minus in front, less back etc.] create a perfect complement for my plan? Is this really true digitally or it does not properly to the screen?

  Am I missing something? I can influence the outcome of the follow-up in another way? Where can I find the 'negative' space of a given design in a different way?

  Registration (some call it just register) refers to how the colors align when they are printed. You've probably seen images badly recorded in newspapers and magazines, print colors line up properly. We say that the colors are "off-register".

  In your case, if black does not exactly with 2 colors, you will get edge little white substrate peeping between the two. This can usually be remedied by doing a 'trap' (a shot in the same color as the filling, overlay so that it will allow for some misregister and avoid the white edges indicating the value.)

  As far as I can see, the effect on your shots is an artifact of anti-aliasing.

  I've often seen this kind of thing then I recognized immediately.

  When you print, 2 drawings should print identical (or very close to being according to the resolution of the printer).

  As I said, you can check if the 2 designs are identical by turning off the preview (Cmd + Y on a Mac).

  If the vectors are OK then you have nothing to fear.

  Here is a picture of a trap to show you what I mean:

  

  Black is drawn as grey to illustrate this point. The pink ovals are identical in size and both also off register. The top no no trap so white shows through.

  Inside we have a trap, so although it is off register the misregister does not show (or wouldn't be if blacks are black).

  You would need to have seen the overprint on turned out see the trap properly Illie, and it might be a good idea to temporarily mitigate the black so that you can see what you're doing. When do traps, you need to know beforehand how much misregister wait.

• Question of cloning for SSD upgrade on 12 Macbook Pro

  Previously, I did an upgrade to SSD on my Macbook Air to 2012 according to the instructions of JetDrive transcend. Basically connection via USB 3 and using Mac OS X to clear (and format) disc utilities new SSD, then restore again SSD and then remove the original 128 GB SSD and insert the new 480 GB SSD.  For about a month and so far without problem.

  Now I'm trying to 2012 Macbook upgrade my Pro partner (on 10.11.6).  I got a Crucial SSD MX300 to replace his HARD drive.  Crucial comes with (or recommend) Acronis software.  And a lot of the messages of the forum recommend Carbon Copy Clone.

  My question is if I can use the same method for the cloning of the HD as my Macbook Air (just restore disk of Mac OS X utilities)?  This time, I'm upgrading HARD drive and I don't know if something is different.  At the same time, if I got lucky the first time, I don't not ruin Macbook Pro my spouse this time.

  Yes, you can use disk utility to clone your MBP wives, but unlike CCC, it will not clone the recovery and Partition.

  Once you have made a purchase on the iTunes store, you will see your purchased items in the menu under accounts bar > bought. You can simply select the item purchased and re-upload.

  With regard to the resolution of the film for films that are offered, and you select the resolution, you can download it again and select a different resolution. For movies that are available as separate download to SD, 780, or 1080 points, you would be limited to the original resolution you selected.

• Bootcamp Windows 10 question

  Hi all

  Stumbled upon a problem, try to install Windows 10 an end 2014 27' iMac w/retina education runs Yosemite 10.10.5. Bootcamp is V 5.1.4. 32 GB, 3.5 ghz Intel I5. Disk of 1 TB of Fusion. Before you try this, I read the guide of Bootcamp to install windows, but also a number of other tutorials and forum messages about potential problems. This research, I learned that for EDU edition you must change the name of the file from Win10_1607_Education_English_x64.iso to Win10_1607_English_x64.iso. Apparently to have the former name of the file may cause OS X to not recognize the ISO. That fact I started Bootcamp, waited while the software downloaded and created a bootable USB key and partitioned my drive giving Windows 70 GB of space. After that, I got the message that my computer is restarts. Upon restarting, I got the black screen with the blue Windows logo and a spinning loading animation. After a few minutes, a blue screen with a message "Windows has encountered and error with computer and must restart," or something similar. He was pretty quick, so maybe it's not word for Word, but it was not a helpful post in terms of saying something specific. When the computer reboots, I am sent directly to OS X, though a bit slower than normal. I tried to restart with the flash drive to see if the installer would start up, no dice. Try now the Option key at startup, the flash player is not available. Went into my settings to see if I could change my startup on Win disk install USB, no luck it no more.

  Now for the question: How can I get the Windows installation again? What I have to start the process, and if so, what should I use Bootcamp to delete the partition that was created? I have re-run Bootcamp and the only option that is checked is the partition and start and install/uninstall windows and delete the partition.

  If you use a USB drive, not a USB flash drive, you will have problems. It is recommended to use a 8-16 GB USB2 flash drive.

  If the installation program is located on a USB Flash drive, stop your Mac, connect the USB key, restart and hold down the alt/option key and select the Windows icon in the USB port. This installs Windows in BIOS mode. If you click the start EFI icon, it will install using the EFI mode (faster). You may need to change the partition from MBR to GPT using GPT Fdisk.

  If your account did not exist in 2014, then it is has not been hacked. Removal of the guarantees it will not be new since there was more pirate. Normally, at least the hackers got access to more information in the narrative, as credit card numbers, change your Yahoo password would have sufficed.
