  We will install oracle client. We use oracle net services to configure essbase with the help of oracle, which is installed in the other database server. That is why we are installing oracle client.

  Now my question is during the installation exactly customized including all the checkboxes should I check. There are a lot of items displayed in the installation window. I want to know what should I check to install only oracle net services.

  Go to the Administration of Oracle Client installation. Then copy the TNS server entry and paste it to the customer.

  I want to install Essbase 11.1.2.2 customer. E delivery site do I download only "EPM System Release 11.1.2.2.0 Client installers for Microsoft Windows V31866-01" or any file must also be?

  The essbase client is available in the client installation package or you can download a newer version of the fix for the Support of Oracle.
  The essbase client is a stand-alone Installer (.exe), it does not include the excel add-in, add-in excel is in record ExcelAddin in the installation package.

  If you want to install both then run the executable for the customer and essbase excel add-in, they are supported on Windows 7.

  In the stage of selection, choose to install only the ODI Studio and the local agent. It is the client software.

• VMware vCenter Update Manager Client installation fails

  I have a system that has been upgraded to ESX 3.5 to vSphere and installed successfully the vSphere Client, can see my hosts and virtual machines without any problem.  I install the plugin VM converter, but when I try to install the plugin Update Manager it fails every time.

  I'm installing on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer (my laptop is also Win7 64 bit and it installed successfully there).  I tried to install the application and get the error message in the Windows application logs:

  Product: VMware vCenter Update Manager Client - Setup cannot continue. VMware vSphere Client is not found to be installed on this computer. VMware vCenter Update Manager Client can be installed only on machines where VMware vSphere Client is present.

  I've already entered my store of % TEMP % and tried to install just the exe file (VMware - UMClient.exe) and who is not, I copied the extracted files, including all the files .ini, .bmp, .msi and .mst to the root of my C drive and tried installing from there.  All this provided the same failure.

  During the installation, I get this message first indicating the location of my vSphere Client installation:

  

  When I click on the only 'real' installation option, then spend a few seconds and then I get this message:

  Click ok and then get a message saying that the installation has failed.

  I managed to do install finally.

  The strange solution was that I had to log on as an administrator of my machine and then install the plugin.  Even if my account is an administrator account.

  Anyway, problem solved, works perfectly and am clean now.

• I've just updated TB I was running two clients installation 1 now have server problems

  I run two clients TB since an installation - never had any problems. I've just updated to 24.4.0 and one of these installed works fine, the other will not receive or send e-mails. I get the following error.

  The message send failed.
  The message cannot be sent because the connection to the SMTP server mail.just - 2bme.com failed. The server is may be unavailable or refuses the SMTP connections. Please check that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again or contact the server administrator.

  Any SMTP server I use - I have 4 that (usually) work, no matter which I use I have the same problem. I can use the same SMTP server to send the other as the other install - install works, this one isn't. VERY STRANGE.

  On the download page for BIEE, I received instruction to install JDK, Web server, Oracle BI 12 c and Oracle BI Developer tool Client.  In my opinion, this is the server installation package.  I want only the Client tool.  Can someone clarify this for me?  I know it's pretty simple, but...   We have sql client version 12.1.0.2 which has some issues in terms of sqlloader does not. This has been fixed by the patches oracle 20315685 group.   It is a bundle patch is developed to fix bugs related to 12.1.0.2.0 version on windows platform.

  This patch is common for the database server and Client.

  To apply the patch

  (1) services the customer stop like sqlplus, sqlloader

  (2) unzip the downloaded patch

  (3) cd

  (4) set as % ORACLE_HOME %path% environment variable

  (5) %ORACLE_HOME%/OPatch/opatch apply

  It will apply the necessary corrections.

Client has successfully installed can't seem to connect to the server database using input TNS through Sql in my command prompt, but the problem is that I am not able to create all the drivers ODBC in Control Panel (ODBC Administrator) Am not able to find a driver to configure a data source.

  Using this data source, we need to connect to the database of an application.

• Oracle 12 c only client installation

  Hello

  I want to install Oracle 12 c client Runtime on RHEL 6 Server. I downloaded and ran the installation of the Oracle database software download package, but I have no option to install the right Client. Installation Options screen says 'create and configure a database' or 'Install database software only' or 'upgrade of an existing database.

  Is there another package to download for the facilities of customers? I need the client Runtime, not instant client.

  I have an asp application classic that we intend to do new development using ASP.NET and the last oracle. NETproviders that requires the installation of the last client I believe.

  I think the customer on our 2003 Server r2 is release 9.0.1.1.1, which runs without problem.  When I tried to install the following:

  You can test to see if the basic connectivity works if you copy and paste the connection descriptor directly in the Source of data of ODP.NET connection string attribute. I.e.
