R500 2714 64-Bit Support

Hello

It asked me to upgrade a Thinkpad R500 2714 to Windows 7, but do not know if this laptop would be compatible 64 bit OS?

Thank you

Yes, it will be. If you ordered your R500 with Windows 7, you can use the same COA key under the laptop. (Assuming you are using the same edition).

My apologies, I must have misread the topics when I did my first answer. For some reason, I got it in my head, whether you use Windows 7 32 bit.

I stand by my original comments well that although I appreciated now that you are referring to Windows XP.

If you want to go to 64-bit Windows XP I'm not sure if this is even possible now. Unless you buy a commercial version second hand. If you can, make sure that it comes with an installation CD.

To check the compatibility 64 bit XP the following may be useful...

It will be even more important to check the hardware/software compatibility via the websites of the manufacturers.

  • GTIS-90086 'Lack of 64 bit support' error downloading Adobe Air application questions

    Hello

I have an Adobe Air based application which I previously downloaded using the iTunes connect application loader.

Today, I get the error: ERROR ITMS-90086 'Missing Support 64-bit' iOS apps submitted to the App Store must include 64-bit support and built with iOS SDK 8 or later.

It's weird because the 64-bit requirement has existed for some time and I use the same build method has been accepted previously.

I tried the building without the extensions to exclude third party extensions. I have updated to the latest version of the Air SDK and use new certificate/provisioning profiles.

    Any ideas, what has changed?

  • Does RoboHelp 2015 2016 Office 64 bit Support

    Hello

We are considering upgrading to Windows 10 with 64-bit Office 2016.  RH2015 supports Word 2016 64-bit or only 32 bit support it?

    Thank you

    John

Adobe informed me that RoboHelp 2015 is certified for the 64-bit version of the word. With the latest patches installed RoboHelp, which relates the word 2013 and 2016 Word.

The question you have so is Adobe advises it is certified, but Microsoft that warn with 32 bit apps (which includes RoboHelp I've discussed above), you could have problems. You also have some RoboHelp users who have posted in these forums that they have had problems with the version 64 bits that were resolved only by changing the 32-bit version.

It's your call but personally unless I needed 64-bit for some reason any or a company policy that forced on me, then I would opt for the 32-bit version as the safest bet with all apps that interface with Word, not only of RoboHelp.

If you do not install the 64-bit version I would appreciate to report on this issue on how it worked. I hope this helps.

  • Only Indesign and DPS support 64-bit support required apples as Apple announced is required as of February 1, 2015?

I got this email from Apple.  I use Xcode to build, I only use InDesign. InDesign and DPS will meet the requirements of Apple?

    It's the email:

    Dear developer,

As we announced in October, beginning February 1, 2015 new iOS apps submitted to the App Store must include 64-bit support and built with iOS SDK 8. Beginning June 1, 2015 app updates will also have to follow the same requirements. To enable 64-bit in your project, we recommend using the default Xcode build the 'Standard architectures' setting to build a single binary with 32-bit and 64-bit code.

  • Workstation 7 64-bit - support for Intel mode (i7 CPU)?

    Hi all

do we know if Workstation 7 (latest version 64 bit) supports the technology Intel mode available in the Intel i7 (720, 820, 920 QM)?

I have the i7-720QM which, by default, takes place in 1, 6 GHz and mode it should up the CPU at about 2.8 ghz but VMWare Workstation doesn't seem to be able to use/demand this... so still clocked at 1.6 ghz - very slow!

Someone can confirm this, or plans to support the architecture of the Intel i7 in the near future?

    Thank you very much

You use the 'balanced' in the host operating system power mode?

  • Is the package of 32-bit support included in the license for CS5.5 master collection?

I am running CS5.5 Master Collection on XP, so 64-bit first and AE do not install it. My documentation says I can run CS4 of Premiere Pro and After Effects by downloading a package of 32-bit support for CS5.5 on my download page. However, that is not only missing a link, but what we call the 'technical support' says they won't give me a link. This is ridiculous, it is true that it is to be included in what I paid for.  The 32-bit support package is on a DVD if you buy the DVD set. Yet supported (a little confused people in the Philippines) told me that 'level 2' will not provide a way to download.

It comes with 32-bit support or it does not.

The documentation says it does, but support will not help.

Furthermore, please form the best outsourced support people.

I have had three different people looking aimlessly around my computer trying to find the 32-bit package and it was obvious that they had no idea of what they were doing. They have a possitive and interpersonal attitude, but I wish they have better knowledge.

If someone from Adobe to the United States sees this, please pick up this case ( :0206050914) and told me a way to get the 32-bit support package, or confirm that I'm not allowed to have despite what your web page and download the documentation.

    Thank you

    Max

Hi Max, I'm sorry to hear your having trouble getting an answer.

Of course, the answer is positive, without a doubt, absolutely the 32-bit support package is included with CS5.5 Master Collection and Production Premium.

So you are right about that, but don't know why you do not.

See this article in the Adobe knowledge base to see if this help out you.

  • CS5 and 64-bit supported: what are the implications?

    Hi people,

I would ask the question like this: 64-bit support means I'll have to buy the machines 64-bit for my copy of CS5?

    Thank you for your help.

Yes, you will need to have a 64-bit operating system and a 64-bit processor.

For Mac OS, Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6) are already capable of running 64-bit applications, and any Macintosh sold in recent years can run 64-bit applications.

For Windows, you need Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit.

For system requirements, see this page:

  • Portege Z930-146: BSOD running Win 7 64 bit - support pointers and advice

    Hello

First post following the latter (academia / business) purchase of a Portege Z930-146 (serial number XC141056H, short PT235E part number).

Configured the pre-installation software 64 - bit W7, local installed, delivery to the primary user (the boss).

User reports 3 BSOD in a few days - I have the mini-decharges and made first order analysis using blue-screen display:

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA (ntoskrnl.exe)
    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (dxgkrnl.exe)
    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (ntoskrnl.exe)

We really are the guys from UNIX, so it is not familiar territory.

I just updated the BIOS but now have a long (50 +) list of possible drivers also be updated. One at a time to download and install?

I ran the diagnostics memory and disk - without errors or warnings that are reported.

Can someone identify a likely problem, or direct me gently in the direction of the road to official support of Toshiba please or suggest next steps?

    Thank you in advance,

    GLM

Ntoskrnl.exe is a Microsoft kernel boot and the dxgkrnl.exe seems to have something to do with the chart.

I recommend to check if the update of the display driver would improve the performance of the system.
Then visit the Toshiba UE driver page, select the Satellite Z930 PT235E and download the latest display driver Intel.
Z930-146 was equipped with chip Intel HD Graphics 4000, so you need the Intel driver.

You can also try to download the driver directly from the Intel page since they always provide the latest version.

  • Portege R500 - keyboard USB Legacy support does not work

    I have a Portege R500-124

I use it to dock in the office and the lid is closed, so I need to enter a password for DriveCrypt and generally control the boot/BIOS from a USB keyboard. But no matter what I set the setting that is inherited from the USB in the BIOS, the USB keyboard does not work. I tried the keyboard connected directly to the R500 when undocked and it's all the same. I also tried BIOS 1.6 and that's all the same.

USB keys are working and I can boot from them, but no work of measures (for example, F12 to choose the BOOT device) keyboard - the R500 doesn't seem to have the functional USB keyboard support until an operating system (Windows or Linux) has started.

    Any ideas?

    Ian

I can't confirm this, but I'm afraid you're right about that.

  • Windows XP 64-bit supports processors intel core i3?

just a simple question. is there a version of windows xp 64-bit, I can download to try before you buy?  and it supports processors intel 64-bit? I am an i3 and Windows 7 4-bit, but a lot of my old games fail to run properly under him...

    Thank you

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and check for Windows XP "64 Bit" drivers for your specific model number.

If there are drivers Windows XP then download to a folder on your hard drive, burn it to a CD and then install all of them (if XP started ok), starting with the card mother/chipset, SATA, LAN, Audio, drivers, and so on.

Impoverish suggests that you create a backup of Windows 7 Image before starting the installation of XP.

  • 24-BIT SUPPORT NEEDED!

SanDisk, please put a DSP 24 bit in your music players so that people can listen to their more-than-CD quality FLAC.  There is a market out there for it, and you will make many audiophiles money if your devices could support files FLAC 24 bit, even if limited to 48 or 44.1 khz.

Please, do us a favor and we not help spend hundreds of dollars on players Hifiman or Astell & Kern and strengthen the support of 24 bits into clips.

    Thank you.

    hogger129 wrote:

There is a noticeable difference in the files that I have in 44.1 khz, 16 bits (which are rips of CD) and high-resolution files encoded in 88.2 and 96 khz and 24 bit.

There are more details, less noise, the music is not dynamic compressed as many CDs are today.

Of course, but that's because they are controlled better.  Convert a good master in 44.1 k/16 when tear you and you're golden.  None of the compatibility issue and none of the dynamic range of the compressed mass CD market crap.

    hogger129 wrote:

iPod Touch, Classic and the iPhone that take all support up to 48 khz, 24-bit as long as it is Apple Lossless encoded, and even there, I hear that a difference between my ALAC CD rips and Apple Lossless encoded 24 bit music with my Sennheiser HD558 headphones.  The headphone downsize to 44.1/16, but through the connector dock, 48/24 is possible.

Is that the thing, the analog out, can not even make a full 16-bit effective, even the clip.  So you would save a lot of space by converting in advance.  Have probably better too since the resampling is often not very well on limited power devices.

If you want file conversion, just install rockbox.  I added support for files FLAC up to 192 kHz/24 to the rockbox FLAC decoder years ago.  In addition, its way more power efficient that the sandisk shit one.

You cannot install a 64-bit on a virtual machine operating system while the host operating system is 32-bit. The host operating system will need to be 64-bit.
