RAM Kingston IBM ThinkCenter M52 problem (8113)

I just bought a new RAM to my computer and it does not work. It's a Kingston DIMM DDR2 1024Mo (1 GB 2Rx8-5300U-555-12). The computer does not seem to recognize this RAM but it fits perfectly into the slot.

Did some research on this problem, I found that each motherboard takes support only a certain range of types of memory in certain combinations. However, he went to the shop with the original RAM and he showed to the saleswoman and that's what I get for replacement.

Can indicate you where I can check what kind of RAM your motherboard accepts? Or in the case where this is taken in charge, how can I install?

Hello people! I solved the problem. Main problem is that IBM ThinkCenter M52 (8113) Bios does not configure the frequency of the RAM, so it must be PC-4200, 533 MHz instead of PC-5300 (667 MHz).

  • X 230 RAM Kingston problem

    Hi all

    I got a 230 X with 4 GB 1Rx8 PC3 - 12800 S-11-12-B4 installed memory. I tried to improve it with two sticks of memory Kingston KVR1066D3S7 / 4G 1, 5V.

Unfortunatelly after installing new sticks of memory (combinations do not matter) my laptop does not light. After pressing the button there is just a flash and the BIOS will not start.

Everything is back to normal after the restoration of the previous configuration of the RAM.

Is there something wrong with my memory sticks or is it a kind of bior question or maybe something else?

    lead_org,

your words about Kingston' and Corsair' its a little strange RAM. I have another opinion and skills with the help of RAM of these sellers, including Lenovo systems.

I think that jarosz issiue is the frequency of the RAM, 1066 mhz is too small - officially IvyBridge supports the memory type DDR3/L-1333/1600.

  • Driver DVD-RAM on Satellite A110-149 problem

I recently received my copy of Express Upgrade to Windows Vista and I installed it as described in the user guide.

The first time Windows Vista ran normally and I had no problem with my DVD-RAM. But then, after having upgraded from windows it asked me to reboot. When I rebooted my computer Windows Vista does not recognize the DVD-RAM driver.

I searched the Web from Toshiba site, this driver but I couldn't find it. I just find drivers Windows XP, which could not be installed.

Do you have anyone had the same problem, or knows where I can get this driver?

    My laptop is a Satellite A110 - 149 (PSAB6E) and the DVD-RAM is a CARPET * a DVD-RAM UJ - 841S

    Hello

usually, a DVD-RAM needs no driver, it must be recognized automatically. Have you ever tried to remove the drive in system properties and restart the system?

Windows should install correctly after that. If this isn't the case, please make a comment.

    Welcome them

  • RAM Kingston for Y500

    http://www.Kingston.com/datasheets/KHX16LS9P1K2_16.PDF

    Is Y500 supports PnP?

to simplify things, comparing the 2 sticks of memory living of similar size, but one is a ddr3 1333 mhz, and the other is a 1600 mhz ddr3. both can contain commands to the same size, but with faster clock able to process more quickly speed commands. Some people want to ram overclocking so that you can get a faster treatment, which is where a good stick of ram will make sense. Aries will need good material to manage higher clock speeds or even a tension higher and, subsequently, higher operating temperatures. That's the quality expensive Rams comes it.

in the case of the y500 and bios owner to lock the system memory clock speeds, there is little interest to get the RAM of high quality since they should work correctly as specified. you do not overclock simply because you can't.

  • Upgrade of RAM Kingston DC7900 SFF Compatibiltiy

I have a DC7900 Small Form Factor with the following specifications:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500

    RAM: 2 GB DDR2 - 6400 800 Mhz

    HARD drive: 320 GB + 2 TB SATA2 7200 RPM SATA2 internal

    ODD: DVD +-R/RW

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

The issue is that I am looking to buy a 4 x 2 GB DDR2 (8 GB total) 800 Mhz RAM to replace the existing 2GB Kingston who is currently in the system.

    The RAM has features of:

    Brand: Kingston

    Memory type: DDR2

    Capacity: 8GB (4x2GB)

    Pins: 240 - Pin

    Speed:800 MHz(PC2-6400)

    Case latency: CL6

    Voltage: 1, 8V

    ECC:no

    Dual Channel: Yes

    Buffer / registered: Unbuffered

Please advise on the compatibility with the current system. Thank you.

    Hello

Download and CPU - Z allows to check the technical specifications for your existing DIMM before buying anything. Now match the specifications with the DIMMs that you plan to buy.

HP strive in the documentation to use the same hours of CASES between DIMM.  The DIMM ELPIDA bars are CL6.

If you have only one dimm and then buy four to ensure the best compatibility and performance.

    Good luck.

BTW - your PC is running only W7 32-bit if you need to upgrade to 64-bit to take advantage of more than 4 GB of memory.

Obviously, the 4 Gig sticks are somewhat different.  RAM is VERY picky.  Even if they have the same latency but another manufacturer they can cause problems as you see

  • DVD-RAM UJ-820 s: speed problems

Just wondering if someone has managed to solve the problem with UJ-820 s, i.e. the speed not how it should be for the writing/extraction. I had to use using a USB to get anything above 2 x when the specs say that it should go to 4 x - false advertising?

I guess the drive need a firmware update, but it doesn't seem to be an easy way to contact Toshiba to get one!

    See you soon

    Hello

What you mean exactly with speed not how it should be for writing/ripping? You can burn DVD - R with a X 4 speed?

  • RAM upgrade for the e520 problem

Hi all. My Dim520 should take 4 gigabytes of RAM, in 2 installments of 2 x 1 GB. It says in the manual. I don't really have as much RAM, but as it went VERY cheap, I bought two 1 GB 533 Mhz DDR2 cards just because they were there. I installed the 2 cards, but my computer only recognizes 3 GB. Am I missing something completely obvious? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  • Office model IBM Thinkcenter D7G, type computer 8183 (old series)

    Hello

It seems that I can not find such a product to investigate errors on this forum, if I'm not mistaken...

All of a sudden, the machine DOES not start and it seems he is stuck after 2-3 seconds of power in... I checked all connectios inside, they seem fine... no cable has been disconnected... I guess that the BIOS should be checked with a professional tool... No display at all on the port VGA at all... so boring and irritating

Check your motherboard battery. I have seen machines with used batteries work perfectly as long as they were connected, only the failure of the first time they are disconnected, then restarted.
