RAM, stolen, y at - it an update that resolves this problem?

I've had Windows 7 Professional 64 bit addition to my computer at school through MSDNAA (alliance of software school thingy) and it installed dual boot with xp 64 (just in case I didn't like 7).

Hey well a few hours running with windows 7 I see it maxed out my supposed to be 3 GB of RAM to 2 GB. I load resource monitor and it shows that I got 3072 mb memory installed, but 2046 total and the other Mo 1026 of it is 'Material reserved'... So my question is how do I get this reserved hardware memory back to normal memory?
The real kicker is that it deleted than 1 GB in bios and therefore in my other os. ! : (
Someone knows how to fix this?

Hello

Its one and the same thing. It's just that some menory is dedicated to video memory.

Hope this helps
