rapid decline delete bug

Selecting a Type ride and do a quick deletion down connected Type to the * type, instead of entry * type.

I don't know if I'll be able to add tweaks to solve these problems. For now, a work around for the problem of Type Cast... assuming that you have a constant connected to a Center Terminal, if you drag a selection box around both the cast of Type and the constant, then do Ctrl-space-Ctrl-R, it will create the wiring as you wish:

In recent (may 2013 or 2014?) I added logic to remove and rewiring in order to ensure that nothing in the list of selection (as a constant) is a candidate for the rewiring and instead is still deleted, with the selected functions.

  • customize a rapid decline by pressing ctrl + a

    Hi all

I want to ask you for help with customizing my fast fall. Miss me the shortcut ctrl + A (select) all. For example when I type the name of the function in the window of rapid decline, but I made a mistake or a typo, and I want to write the name of the function again, but without pressing return back key (I use one hand and Darren chips; p).

    Any ideas?

PS: English is not my native language, so if it wasn't clear, I'll give you some screenshots

    Thanks in advance!

N ° combinations Ctrl inside quick drop were the installation of plugins, nothing more.

  • Rapid decline question

I use fast down a bit lately.  I use CTRL + Space keys, CTRL + I to insert the screws in the existing threads, but time ago were it's faster for me to slide the screw from the palette on the block diagram.

Someone at - it a rapid drop plugin that allows you to select a VI and a thread and automatically the wires together?  For example, it would be nice if I could choose a VI with terminals of the error and the thread of the error and allows you to automatically link their rapid fall.

This one is close enough so that you can customize:

  • Rapid decline in full load capacity

    Hello

I recently bought a new macbook pro 15' and since then, I have read several articles on how to preserve the battery in my macbook. Therefore, I check regularly the full load capacity (perhaps every day...), but yesterday, something strange happened. Full charge capacity was most of the time at approximately 8500 mAh, but yesterday when I checked, it had fallen to 7700 mAh. I am aware that the full load capacity decreases with time, but 800 mAh for one day is certainly something not typical. In general, I charge when it is between 20-40% until it reaches 100%. I did not the little ordinary things on it in order to damage the bad battery. I just read a book and disabled the Wi - Fi in order to preserve the battery life. At one point, I noticed under the battery 'remaining 18 hours', but it's normal since I used it in low light to read a book without a free Wi - Fi connection. I think that the battery may have lost its calibration, so I re - year (wait for the macbook to stop, then wait for 3 to 5 hours and charge up to 100%). Do you have any other suggestions what could be the problem and how to solve?

P.S. The battery has 37 cycles count.

Your MBP battery needs to be calibrated.  This will put a useless cycle on this issue.

    Try a SMC reset:

If there is no change, make an appointment with an Apple store genius bar, the assessment will be FREE.

  • Video demonstration of rapid decline

    Hello

Whenever I attended an event of LabVIEW, it always seems that the inevitable question "wait...". How did you get that? "comes from the audience when quick drop made the demonstration of an instructor.

Does anyone know if there are videos online that we could refer when you try to learn the quick fall?   Thus, we can practice along.

    Thank you

This is a 45-minute video that I put in place for virtual NI Technology Days. It covers a ton of tips and tricks to speed up the development of LabVIEW.

    http://www.NI.com/Webcast/3311/en/

If you want to skip to the good stuff, I'm talking about Quick Drop 15 minutes in this presentation. Begin at 01:38 for this.

  • I did according to the instructions RE: cut and paste, still does not work.

This is what is shown as my profile directory
    /Home/davidlisle/.Mozilla/firefoxsa4u14wa.default-1390261301661

It's the user.js, I created in accordance with the online instructions page:

// This file can be used to configure global preferences for Firefox
    // Example: Homepage
    pref("browser.startup.homepage", "http://www.linkedin.com/");
    user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "allowclipboard");
    user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipboard.cutcopy", "allAccess");
    user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipboard.paste", "allAccess");

However, the data but followed instructions do not produce the expected results.
Right now I see myself forced to use another browser as I work a lot on the line and I 'should' be able to copy / paste. If you can respond in a timely and a solution, I'll continue with firefox, I like. Otherwise, my frustration level has peaked and interest in firefox is rapidly declining.

I should be able to accomplish this task with simple steps, not an eternity of troubleshooting your installation bad 'protection '. I am equally sure that many others have no problem, I do however.

I have provided some basic information about this machine, if you need something specific, I'm sure I'll be happy to hand it to you.

  • Drop fast plugins does not load

I have a weird problem here...

Just recently, I had to reinstall LabVIEW 2012 on a new computer and the rapid decline, same plugins by default, appear to not load.  The files are in the /resource/dialog/quick drop/plugins directory.  Quick access drop it self works and appears.  The right hand shortcuts work for the front panels and block diagram.  I don't have this problem when I installed before LV2012 but this computer don't LV2011 and LV2010 already on this subject.

    Any thoughts?

    Prior to change what any...

Hilighting text and using ctrl-X/C/V worked to copy the text of the combobox, etc., as expected.

There is nothing in the window of shortcuts for the page of the Ctrl key.  No description not key assignments.  The first Panel and block diagram pages perform very well.

No records of Plugins to fall quickly in the data of LabVIEW under My Documents folder.

OKAY, I THOUGHT of IT! I used Beyond Compare to make a binary comparison of the unzipped folder you attached to the contents of the quick drop folder on my machine.  There are 3 differences.  Adding files to the case select and given to zero plugins that I had added and the Quick Drop Plugin Template.vi was missing from my file.  I had recorded accidentally turned off earlier, trying to make me a new plugin.  I deleted the contents of my file and replaced by the contents of the zipped file.  When I rebooted LabVIEW Ctrl Quick Drop default key assignments are present and working.  Then as a test, I deleted the Quick Drop Plugin Template.vi in the folder under LabVIEW and the CTRL assignments dissappeared.  Replace this file and Ctrl key assignments reappeared.  Didn't even need to restart LabVIEW.  I know not why this QD broke, but at least now we know how to fix it.

    Thanks for the help Darren!

  • Intel SSD 750 series

In a moment of weakness I just bought an Intel SSD series 750 800 GB HHHL (SSDPEDMW800G4x1), mainly due to a decline in prices of $100 (i.e. CDN $729) CDN.

I was looking to replace a rest of spinning by car, but find myself questioning this decision as the 750 series write speed is specified only 800 MB/s, which is much slower than my Samsung 950 Pro m2 (1527 MB/s) and the four Samsung 850 Pro in a Raid 0 configuration (1833 MB/s).

However, I can live with the read speed of the 750 that is specified to 2000 MB/s.

The idea is to use the SSD 750 instead of the current system SSD drive and use it for various no video and image data, which is currently on a HARD drive.

My quandry, should I return the Intel SSD 750 (have'nt opened the package yet) and wait for a more rapid decline in prices of PCIe version, or am I being too critical...

Anyone here using this drive and what are your impressions?

What I wanted, it was speed cache, it is to say when the cache handles all the instructions of reading and writing for reader requests gives significantly better performance because the ram is much faster than the disks or sata controllers. This performance is normally called gust or peak transfer rates. Once the cache fills well performance begins to normalize that the sata controller can manage ideally. The drive itself also limits this based on the speed and latency the reader can process these requests queued. More it takes to completely fill the cache over the drive or raid maintains the burst transfer rate. Once the cache fills although transfer rates begin to fall. 8 GB cache is standard for most of the highend SAS controllers and gives you an excellent performance for the raid because raid instructions are stored in the cache and manipulated in real time of the RAM of the system or the disc. This allows the controller handle tasks as fast as possible without waiting on disks to provide more data or be ready for more data to write.

SSD drives will slow down over time of writing and deletion to allocate their share files. This is due to how the SSD firmware avoid writing permanent erase cycles. You can return an SSD performance unprecedented in formatting or by writing zeros for it. When using the SSD for media raids, it becomes a standard maintenance process, you want to do periodically.

  • What is a good size SSD for Macbook with Bootcamp?

I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch, mid 2012 version.

I think about upgrading the SSD HARD drive, but what would be a better option?

    • SSD 256 GB
    • SSD 512 GB

    General information:

I use my laptop for school work so I need to partition my laptop for Windows as well.

I have an external hard drive and the USB for storage purposes, but I'm going to need to download apps from the school.

    Minimum requirements:

    • At least 90 GB of free hard drive such that it requires for installation of Windows on Boot Camp
    • HARD DRIVE 250 GB

Reason why I am upgrading to SSD is for my laptop be quick. Right now, need me at LEAST a minute to start my laptop and most of the time, I have to wait 30 seconds for my laptop to open an app to buy a mac because his young, but now my friends colleagues Windows user starts their laptop in 3 seconds.

Given the rapid decline of the SSD price, I suggest to get the largest SSD drive you can afford because you don't know how your Windows installation will grow especially if your schoolwork is Windows-based.

But you can also consider that an alternative to Boot Camp creates a Windows virtual machine in VMware Fusion, Parallels or Virtual Box. He doesn't have to take as much space, can be saved and can be run at the same time as Mac OS rather than to place it.

  • Label "VI this ' hide by default

    Hello

How can I customize my LabVIEW so when I drop the VI reference server in the menu or the rapid decline, to have the label is not visible by default. In most cases, the constant itself shows the label of the referenced object.

    Thank you!

Yes in my opinion the best way to get what you want, would be to do a VI is just the "VI this" constant, with the hidden tag.  Put it on your palette and set it to the merger (location VI content) by making a package VIPM, either by going to tools > advanced > change a Palette set.  All VI on your palette is available with rapid drop, so now you can make a shortcut like 'vi' which will drop your VI which will not label.

There are probably a lot of hacky ways, like going into the quick drop code, detect when a VI that has been ignored and script it away or create a quick drop feature when you press CTRL + observes your VI for all constants of this VI and removes the labels.  This could probably be called on a bunch of screws at the same time too.

  • Add pre-configured function palette of expression node?

Is there a way to add a node of preconfigured expression custom palette funtion?

LabVIEW offers a couple of them (like the radians into degrees and degrees in radians) in the NI_AngleConversion.lvlib.  I can view the palette of rapid decline, type rad to deg and click in my block diagram to get to this:

I watched the screws in this library and tried to set up a library for me in the same way, but have not had much luck.

I CAN add to the library, but I have to wire the terminals get a square standard VI icon in my diagram when I try to use it.

However, I really like the compactness of the Expression node on my block diagram and do not want the VI icon to be used.  I want just a node expression preconfigured to appear that looks like this:

Anyone know if this is possible?

    Thank you

    -Randy

You can place materials VI of the items on the pallet.

    Read this.  http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/61A6A949B060A20186256AD900793E52

In addition, you can do a Subvi.  It doesn't have to be a square icon.  You can make your smaller icon and using a smaller box on your icon.  Do not fill the external pixels of the icon.

For something like a basic trigonometric calculations, I think you're better off using primitive LabVIEW and a Subvi.  Just as the icon of the size.

  • Editing controls

    Hi guys,.

Can you please suggest me, how to change the normal style to the money style controls by selecting overall?

Because I have to replace each n every option to replace control?

It seems that you can replace multiple controls by using the quick drop method. Just select the controls that you want to replace, press Ctrl + space to open a rapid decline, and then select the control that you want to use.

  • How to create session refnum imaq?

    Hello all,.

I have an app where I would like to pass a Session IMAQ by refnum Sub several screws, however, I am unable to find all the information on the creation of Session IMAQ refnums. I saw it was in a previous post to an old version of labview, but can't seem to duplicate (the example http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/how-to-pass-IMAQ-session-to-subVI/td-p/2089804 snapvi)

I use LV2013 and I have the VDM 2013 installed with all options (and be used at other functions imaq, so I don't think its an installation problem)

I tried looking in the following locations:

Controls palette (Refnum or under the controls-> range of Vision).

Rapid decline (the research of refnum imaq or session)

Assembly of the control and the indicator IMAQ Session (right-click menu)

Hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

    Thank you

  • (Redirected) Need to phone number or by e-mail to complain to upper management

During the 2 months, personal support of Dell lost more than 23 hours of my time leaving me on hold, forward my calls back to the same Department, running the same diagnostics time and time again and hang up on me without recalling. I also had several emails be ignored or returned no repaints. It seems that nobody has the sense to recognize when there is a problem or incitement to the resolution of the problem. (For Dell) customer service amounts to nothing else than to the verbal apology without any real attempt at resolution.

I firmly believe that senior managers should be aware of this lack of effective customer support if Dell is to maintain its reputation in rapid decline of quality and support.

Initially, I had sent my phone fully functional in for a power cord problem and receives in return a laptop that automatically stops when the lid is closed, regardless of the settings of the computer. A representative "fixed" the problem by putting my computer to be always on, which has eliminated the problem of closure, but gave me the new problem of having to be constantly plugged since my battery so quickly. Several other representatives spend 1-3 hours, running the same diagnoses and installing drivers of those before them, which leads me to believe that they were not properly document their actions, or that they hoped that I could get so fed up that I give up and stop to remember.

After 15 hours of this, I finally asked them to send me a box to solve the problems of obvious material with my system. It saddens me to get to this point, I had to resort to raise my voice as being polite had led to a significant waste of my time. I sent my computer on 5 April, and I still have not received no return. I have been informed verbally that I had received the 18th day which is what I conveyed to my manager. On 18 April, I've been sent tell e-mail, that the part had been ordered pending which meant that there was no way my computer would do to me on this date they received only to her. As I was able to inform him that I would need more time off since I got the e-mail about the delay when I was waiting for my computer to arrive, I was unable to make other arrangements, and I lost my job.

In addition, I am a student, and when this test started, I've been in the last month of my education. I need my computer for assignments and my thesis, and instead of working with me, Dell also lost a time I had to devote to these things.

I called again this Friday, last and after an hour of transfer and try to explain my situation, my case was only increased, and repairs speeded up when I threatened to reach out to senior management (my question of climbing was literally ignored by the representative twice before that I said that.) The officer would call me at 4, so I lack of class in order to be available for the call. He called 2.5 hours later, not so much as an apology. After some pushing from me, he promised to raise the highest problem and told me that I would be in 24-48 hours to set up a call. I have not received any contact and after sending a follow up email him 4 days later, has not received a response.

I'm not unreasonable, and I don't blame Dell for a part of residue. But the time I spent, the loss of my job and the general unhelpfulness tech support representatives and the customer has been quite shocking for me. It really seems that Dell doesn't care about its customers at all and feel impervious to any negative experience because the path to remedy is so complicated that most people will give up rather down there.

If anyone can provide information on contacting someone directly in management I would appreciate this information.

    Sincerely,

    Aishwarya Vijayan

  • index rebuild

During the rebuilding of the index on the production of databases what precautions because a DBA will take? If dba disable the application or not?
When online index rebuilding, what performance question will come on the production database?

    Thanks in advance

Reconstruction on-line during the index of what will be the impact on the database?

1 space of index segments can be roughly doubled as Oracle retains the original index segment during the reconstruction. It creates a new index segment, he switches rapidly, then deletes the old.
    2 CPU will be consumed
3 oracle perhaps fully analyze the old index, other index or table.

If a user makes a request at the time of the index to rebuild which will have an impact on this user?

a shared lock on the table will be held
brief exclusive lock tables and indexes metadata will be held during the switch.
