• Protect nest wants several ports per device IP address

  Hi all

  Rather a strange this...

  I have 4 x nest protect smoke alarms or fire.  All seem to work properly and talk to each other.  I THINK (but I'm not sure) that they connect to nest/Google Internet because the software was getting updated.  So I do know that I have a problem to solve...

  I have configured each of them to have a static IP, and I put the port forwarding for each IP address to have Public and private TCP and UDP ports 80 for device 1, 443 for camera 2, 9543 for unit 3 and 11095 for unit 4.  These port numbers were given to me by the support of nest.

  BUT - when I asked for confirmation that these four setting was correct, I received this statement:

  I understand that you have assigned port 80 of your first protection, 443 to your second Protect and 9543 for your third Protect (or a variant of it).

  Please forgive me for not giving you a complete example of what you need to do before that. As I said in the paragraph above, all ports apply to all devices.

  So if your static IP address for your 1st Protect is 192.168.1.10 will be assigned TCP + UDP 80, TCP + UDP 443, 9543 TCP + UDP and TCP + UDP 11095 to it.

  You must then do exactly the same for the following 3 nest protects you have. Thank you this is a bit tedious, but I assure you there is no additional configuration required for this.

  How is it possible to assign 4 ports on a static address of P?  When I asked this with the assistance of the nest, the response was "I'm really sorry to say this, but it was already not my support framework to help you as I have with the router I was using personal knowledge of port forwarding and hoped that it would be possible for you to apply my instructions using the provided Apple of instructions that I shared with you"

  Ideas anyone?  Or should I just leave it alone because it wouldn't even be a problem to solve?

  To assign multiple ports to a single static IP address, just enter each required port followed by a comma, for example:

  Public or TCP ports: 80, 443, 9543, 11095

  Public or UDP ports: 80, 443, 9543, 11095

  However, you cannot assign the same ports for multiple static IP addresses.

  My father-in-law uses a program that didn't live follow tickers in different stock markets in the world. It takes up bandwidth on our network and does not care if he does or not. It's a real pain, because he will not change his program or get his own connection.

  Is there a method to limit the speed/bandwidth of each system?

  Why not put a QoS rule in place, for this particular device (using IP address or MAC address) and give priority to "low"?

  Allowing him the course "low activity" of others to get optimum bandwidth, and when others are on the same router / network, it will give priority to traffic, via its connection.

  It seems to work at home, where users of League of Legends and Skype (I know who they are :-)) have a low priority, and my work VPN connections have a higher priority)

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are interested in a number of pages for each device that print to your HP Envy 4500.

  This option is not available, because the number of pages for the HP printer is the total number printed on this machine.

  I'm sure you can find a 3rd party software that can install on all devices to give you the number of individual pages, I suggest a Google search.

Scenario, I have a site that will have 6 computers under license by Adobe CC licensed 'per unit '.   I'm sorry that the feature is not there.

  Admins on the team account have the same rights except for billing which is limited to only the main Administrator information.

The TS are iss device by installing licenses. Local group policy is not configured on each ts. The strange thing is that I can't find the option to license type within the domain group strategy, however, I suspect that this is the problem as when I go through the configuration in the RD Licensing Manager system indicates that the license server will be able to issue per user Cal. If anyone has had / overcome this problem I would be very gratefull to know the solution. Best regards Steve

• R7500 use of bandwidth by the device and the application does not appear anything.

  Hi, I am currently using a v1 R7500 and since Thursday, I have a problem with the use of bandwidth per device with 0Mbps of traffic for each device.

  

  When I inspect the traffic on the page with chrome I get an infinite number of error at the rate of 1/s.

  Here's my setup. I manage a band and I act as their booking agent.  On my desk, I use Outlook 2007 for all my emails, contacts and calendar events.  In Outlook, I have 2 files of calendar.  1 is the deafult "Personal folder" calendar which syncs to Google Calendar.  This calendar (which I will call RS Cal) has only one band show dates, nothing more.  Now I hae has created a new PST file and in this file, I have another calendar calle "Personal Calenedar" (I'll call Cal Pers).  CAL pers does not synchronize with any outdoor calendar.

  Here's what I woud like.  On my storm, I have 2 email accounts.  1 is ch***.wr**@***band.com.  The other is cw**@***inc.com.  Now, when I sync the two calendars on my storm from Outlook by using Device Manager, all appointments go into the account of cw**@***inc.com.  It's ok.  I can survive.  But I would like Cal Pers sync to represent cw**@***inc.com and RS Cal sync with ch***.wr**@***band.com.  This way I can choose which calendar I look to get an idea of what is going on in the moment.

  Is this possible?  What should I do to make this happen?  I tried to have the Google calendars to sync wirelessly with my storm, trying to separate them in this way, but it did not work.  I had some incorrect settings.  I'm not against trying again.

  Hi and welcome to the forums. I know exactly what you mean by the presence of two calendars. I too have a double calendars etc. Outlook 2007...

  Unfortunately, the BB display a calendar. All calendars in outlook will be synchronized to it, but it can show as part of the device itself.

• Does not include the webclips in a profile on a shared iPad

  In our shared environment of iPad, I am not able to include the webclips to configuration profiles. If I understand those, the configuration profile will always fail to install. In the past, we have had no problem doing this, this problem came only since we recorded our iPads as 'shared '.

  Hey, I have this problem also.  I have a profile with just a webclip and it fails with the error code 4001 MCInstallationErrorDomain.  My supplier MDM said that the profile must be a limited user profile, but there is no option of payload web clip when I try to set up a limited user profile.  So far, my MDM said it could be a UI thing and it is available and just do not show on the page, or they just have not written the code yet.  Anyway, I couldn't make it work again.

  I'm just wondering if you found a solution yet.

• iCloud-photo library: only use it as backup?

  I finally got serious about my photo library to backup to the cloud. Because I have Apple products, it seems that iCloud photo library would make the most sense. And with the recent drop in prices, it is now affordable.

  But here's what I can't determine after reading articles: I don't really have interest in what my library that is available to me through devices. My interest in iCloud is simply as a back-up for my photos, in case my house burns down. Can I then turn on iCloud photo library for Photos on my Mac, but leave it for my iPhone and iPad? My concern is that even an optimized thumbnail for almost 15 years of images would take too much memory on my mobile. I'd rather keep manually import the photos that I take on my iPhone for pictures with sync and let the pics to save them from there.

  We planned from Verizon and is gone on a cruise in the Caribbean. We signed up for Verizon plan 100 GB for a month of international roaming and followed our use (two devices, the two iPhone 6, same iOS) on location current itinerant period on the cell tab. Since it was started from scratch, it seemed simple enough: whenever we used the Mail or Safari, the stats would increase. Given that we had data if little available, we took care to disable all access to the cellular service for all apps did not and checked the stat counter on a regular basis. In fact, we thought that we had total 100 MB, but when running our total approached 100MB, we contacted Verizon to stimulate our plan, only to be told that we had 100 MB per device.

  The service representatives were less useful in dealing with this aspect of the question. Their only response was that the iPhone would not necessarily show all the data that I used. I pointed out that if this were true, there is no way to claim use of real data of track I was paying for beyond simply accepting Verizon, something that I never received a response to.

  As far as I KNOW, iPhone gets its data from Verizon, but I would not be surprised if there is a delay. The warning comes from your service provider, not iOS.
