• Office Jet 8610: Device appearing is not in the device tab connected hp after entering the claim code (for the second time)

  I got the claim code to register my hp device connected for the second time and on both occasions, it doesn't have to be displayed in the devices tab.

  If all goes well, the way you spelled the site above is just a typo.  This is "hpconnected.com".

  I just logged onto the site with my Tablet HP Slate 10 HD, and clearly, there are 4 tabs: home, Collections, Services and devices.

  Don't know what to say, except try to clear your cache and cookies in your browser, and then close the browser, open and try again to load www.hpconnected.com !

  I just set up my desire to 4500 and received a page telling me to create an account on hp connected, select the "Devices" tab and click on 'Add a device' then enter the claim code on the printer (which only lasts 24 hours!). I can't find the tab "Devices". Please can you tell me where to look. I see that other people have had the same problem.

  When connect to your HP account logged in, you can see 4 big black words just under connected HP. The devices tab is 4th from left.

  I upgraded from Workstation 7 to 9. I noticed the new VMWare tools in the machine virtual windows of comments no longer have a devices tab. Is it still possible to list or view available in the comments usb host devices, and how does it work? Thank you

  The VMware Tools GUI has been reduced in version 9, and most of the features are now only available through a command line utility.

• OpenManage Essentials "Devices" tab missing

  I have installed OpenManage Essentials of this year beginning. He worked a much brought us good value.

  Now about three weeks ago the tab "devices"in the web application under the menu "Manage" suddenly disappeared.

  I can still search for devices (However by clicking on in the bar nothing research happens), notifications of changes in System State work fine as well. Basically, everything works as it should, just this single menu item is missing which I think he has some importance within the application.

  I tried to repair the installation that has not helped.

  I'm running OME on version 2.0.1.2222 on a virtual Windows Server 2008 R2, fully patched, as well as SQL server 2008 R2 on a separate instance of W2k8R2.

  Can I do something to fix this problem without having to re - install OME? (and reconfiguration should the problem be the associated database)

  Yes, it seems that some the key of OME plugin cannot be loaded.  That is why the tab is missing, etc.

  It is is like a database corruption problem.

  Best to open a support ticket at 800-945-3355.  If they can get a copy of the database, it might be useful for the team to consider in order to help understand what could have gone wrong.

  But a new inst will probably be in the cards.

• J6480 HP: Duplexer J6480 HP has stopped working. Tab device settings comes back to the Duplex NOT INSTALLED unit.

  I rebooted the HP software on my Windows 7 PC.  As a result, device tab shows duplexer settings still NOT INSTALLED no matter what I do.  Before the PC software reload duplex printing worked perfectly.

  I understand that you have some problems with the all-in-one printer Officejet J6480 after reinstaling on your Windows 7 PC. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. If the printer is connected to the printer via a USB cable, remove it.
  2. Close any programs you have open.
  3. Click on start and open devices and printers.
  4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
  5. Click on remove the instrument.
  6. Repeat for any other icon of your printer listed.
  7. If you removed the USB cable, connect.
  8. Click on add printer and select your printer from the list.
  9. On the screen that asks you to select a driver for your printer, find the driver for Deskjet 9800.
  10. Continue adding a print to your printer queue.

  Charms bar / peripheral (what you call the sidebar) is used to access and use a specific device installed since in the modern user interface applications.

  The component devices in the settings of the PC is used to install and configure devices.

  Example:

  You want to install a printer. Connect the printer to the computer and open laptop settings / devices tab and select Add a device.

  I arrived as well. My guess is that your mac is the only device approved for now, so the only option for apple is to send the code.

  If you go to ibutt settings in system preferences and click on account details, you can see which devices are approved under the devices tab. For me, it says my iphone is not usable as a trusted device, and I did bother to see if I can change this again, but I guess it can be done somehow.

• How to re - activate the functions 'Restore previous Session', "Recently closed tabs" and "Recently closed Windows" in the menu of history?

  For some time, four choices in the restore section (tabs of other devices, Previous Session Restore recently closed tabs and recently closed Windows) have been shaded. Keyboard shortcuts do not work, and didn't undo closed tab in the context menu of the tab.

  I found and tried various patches to do this, including:

  • From Firefox in Mode safe without addons.
  • Firefox reset.
  • Change the values of browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo in all: config.

  I finally managed to understand this. In searching the Web, I found a thread detailing a similar problem on the Mozillazine forum. The problem has been identified as a missing browser.sessionstore.enabled set, so I went looking in Subject: config and couldn't find it. After creating the entry, by assigning the value true and restart Firefox, the functions of recovery/recently started working again. Apparently, some bookmark plugins and session-based can cause this problem, but in my case, it must have been something else, that I never had no such plug-ins installed.

  If you have this problem, here's a detailed itinerary of the way I fixed it. Whereas there seems to be several problems that can cause restore/recently functions to stop working, it is not a guaranteed fix, but it is still a thing to try, at least.

  1. Open a new tab or window.
  2. Type of topic: config address in the box and press ENTER.
  3. Read reviews and promise to be careful.
  4. Copy this: browser.sessionstore.enabled - and paste in Subject: config'search box in s. press ENTER.
  5. If you copied the text at the top right, the setting should appear in the list. If it is not the case, you have the same problem, I did. (I would say that you copy/paste the text indicated and only this text before moving on to double check).
  6. If the parameter does not exist, right click on the parameters of the list and choose new-> Boolean. Paste the parameter name that you copied previously in the name box, click OK and then set the Boolean true. Once you have click OK, restart Firefox, and (hopefully) things should work properly again.

• Old, inaccessible synchronization device remove the account.

  Hello, I'm a bit of a handyman and a tech junkie. However, I still find sync is a very useful and practical and applied it to all of my devices (tablets, phone, multiple computers). Because of my ongoing quest to improve things, however, I am frequently change OS' are and uninstall apps/reorder records on many of these devices, so I find myself often need to reinstall firefox (and thus re-synchronization).

  The only problem here is that sync recognizes each new iteration as its own separate device, even though a large majority of them cease to exist entirely and are gone forever. What makes my "other devices tabs" page a huge pain to access, as most device names are the same and always have many pages active in them.

  How would I go about the removal of these old accounts of my sync account? Change my password is not good at all, because given that the devices cannot access the server, more they are always present in my database and therefore are always boring. Any help is appreciated!

  In this case, Yes, you're right, there is not yet an obvious way to collect other desktops Firefox tabs! But there is a solution - open a new tab and go to "subject: sync-tabs" (without the quotes). This page "Tabs from other computers" should show the tabs on all your other computers/devices.

  What I do with mine, it is right-click on the tab and select 'Pin as App Tab', so that the tab is always easily accessible. If you don't like that, you can easily UN-PIN again by right-clicking and selecting 'Unpin tab'.

  Another thing to remember is that when you start Firefox, "Tabs from other computers" will be empty until the first synchronization is complete. So it may take a few moments.

  Unfortunately it is not possible at this stage. If something bothers you, next time you format a drive hard or generally remove a device from this point of view you should "untie this device" tab sync in the Preferences window.

  Because you cannot return to this specific Firefox profile, you can't do it, but don't worry, it will disappear eventually (the servers store information for ever).

  If you really want to remove it, you need to reset the account and reconnect all devices. To do this, you need to reset the recovery key and set up the account on your computer again.   I have a HP Envy 17 of DV (j073ca) - I had a hard drive failure C: (still on the warranty but not the case for repair in time for my immediate work of the related requirements).  After a clean install of 64 bit Win 8.1, I'm now re-installing drivers, but I still have an unknown device.

  The alphanumeric string in the event of device tab is:

  I found other strings relative to that on the HP support site - seems to be associated with bluetooth.
