Re: Incorrect accelerometer readings

I have a strange problem: shortly after the start of my tablet, the accelerometer is weird. Therefore, the acceleration of the screen is always upside down, and it does not meet the rotation of the tablet.

If I read the readings of accelerometer with a test program, the trend is good, but the zero level is incorrect. 0 g, X denotes + 4 m/s, Y indicates-9 m/s and Z watch-5 m/s. What explains the problem with the rotation of the screen. The only solution seems to be a reset.

Is that what I can do to solve this problem, or do I need to bring it back? I'm just inside 6 months since I bought it, so I need to know soon...

PS: This is a Pro to excite 10.1 16 GB, I think AT10LE-A108 is the official type.

> I feel it was a rogue background process.
> It is difficult to say which, but I learned that any application can recalibrate (or spoil) the accelerometer.

Sometimes its very useful restore Android system, but also the tablet to the factory settings. Where the Android system was confused upward through an app or a process, this reset should solve the problem.
That's why I think you should check it out in case you no it did not in the past.

  • NOR-4351 incorrect Thermocouple readings

Had had problems of expierencing with our boards of NOR-4351, we have several and the only work is done without knowing why.

I took a Board of Directors and setting up a new system with a new installation of windows XP SP3. I then installed TDAQ744.

He installed, then XP recognized the device and install its drivers.

Then, I set the properties of the 4351 for a TBX68T accessory.

Then, I created a virtual channel to measure a thermocouple type j to channel 11, which is RM correctly.

I put the refrence to user at 25deg C.

I then had 23.899 ° c and it woudlnt change such as the thermocuple has been heated or cooled.

I tried changin the ref built in, and then the reading went to 2800 or almost.

I repeated with a different 4351, same problem.

    I changed the TBX68T with a CB68T

My guess is a problem with TDAQ744, I can wipe the system and startover and install 7.2

Very disappointed that we have made to buy these cards a few years ago that in-kind for them drop that left us in this impasse.

Finally had the chance to install another system. Even found a replacement cable, or it turns out the problem. It was damaged enough to cause problems intermittly.

  • Creation of several DAQmx scales for the axes of accelerometer

I'm having a problem programmatically create customized for analog input with DAQmx scales.  Here's the background.  We are trying to develop a small Triaxial sensor for monitoring the twitching (it's a student project, I'm an "Advisor").  We have a Triaxial accelerometer that puts off voltage proportional to the components X, Y and Z of acceleration.  The accelerometer works a 5v power supply, each channel being a 1.5 v (offset) bias and a gain of 0.3 v / g, with a 10% of variability of these parameters (e.g. gain varies between 0.27 and 0.33 v/g).

One can easily read the three channels of acceleration with an NI USB-6009.  "Proof of Concept" originally, we were easily able to measure muscle tremors, but noted that the channels were certainly not calibrated.

I designed a calibration procedure which was fast, reliable and reproducible, requiring that the X, Y, Z tension measurement when the accelerometer was held at six direction without moving - the whole process takes 15 seconds.  But then, I decided to 'smart' (always a bad sign).

I have never used custom DAQmx scales, but thought "why not use the values of calibration for the axes X, Y and Z to programmatically set custom for the three areas so all scales is in units of"g"and centered around 0 g".  I've defined a "Triax" task in my project - if I manually entered the scaling factors deduced my calibration, axes read all between + 1 and -1 g (depending on orientation) then the sensor was motionless.

But I can't figure out how to take the calibration data and assign programmatically to each channel its own custom scale.

Here's some code.  This first Routine detects the Triax task stored in the project and ensures that the correct USB-6009 case is connected.  In its project work, I appointed the three channels physical ai0 ai1 and ai2 to X, Y, and Z, and together the voltage between 0 and 5 v - this code basically resets the scale for these three channels.  It seems to work correctly.

The reason I do it is that I want to record these three channels using the standard Volt scale, I will use these tensions to run the Calibration procedure I developed to get through three and get the necessary parameters to the custom scale.

Here's what I tried to create a customized channel X, Y and Z (the scales are named X_Scale, Y_Scale and Z_Scale).  I tried a number of things, it's just one of them, but I did have a success to get anything to work (to talk to avoid the errors of DAQmx).  Either way, if I get the scale factors 'manually', my accelerometer readings are, indeed, optimized between-1 and + 1 g.

Some of this code may seem too complicated - do - me confidence, I tried to make it more simple, but there are all kinds of 'hidden hunting for witches' in some of these functions that "made me do it" this way.  But, of course, this does not work.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome!  I will continue to work on it, of course (but, thankfully, I did not the device at home with me, if I get a little break...).

  • How TFF accelorometer myRIO readings?

    Hello guys,.

I'm trying to FFT myRIO 1900 internal accelerometer readings, in order to study the spectrum in the frequency domain.

I'm a bit new to this so I don't know how to do but here is what I know (but I still don't know how to do it).

    * I need to collect samples with a certain axis myrio Z for example sampling rate.

    * Store the samples in an array.

    * FFTing table of samples.

    * Loop for updating the values.

I also try to reach a figure that is very close to that if I logged signal simulation with FFT then a graph to have an output like this.

Anyway, here's the project that I work with.

And this is the meaning less graphic that I get.

Please help me to realize what I am not.

    Thanks in advance.

    Michel,

You can try something like this:

This code will be 100 samples by while loop cycle at a sampling frequency of 1000 Hz (1/loop, loop period period = 1 ms), to format data in a wave form and send this waveform for spectral measurements VI.

    Quick Edit: attachment VI

  • Accelerometer reading is not being updated smoothly when you move your device on the left to right or right-left in the Horizontal plane

I'm developing an app for BB 10 devices using the accelerometer. I tested on a BB 10 Dev Alpha device.

When I move the camera in LANDSCAPE MODE on the left to right or from right to left direction in the Horizontal plane, the accelerometer readings are not updated day smoothly as they do in other directions.

In addition, the update in the Vertical plane is not as by expectations, is not through with Android, Iphone or other blackberry devices.

I even checked BlackBerry example project of the accelerometer. It has the same problem. Has anyone else facing the same problem? Is there any solution for this?

Accelerometer reading is not updated because the example provided on github at this rate of accelerometer is set to very high. code: ACCELEROMETER_RATE = 25000 which is high. As directed by their document

Is the rate at which the data from the updates of the material. The rate of update of the material
is defined below using sensor_set_rate. If we set this to 1000, then it properly updated and gives the readings that we arrive on the java BB device.

Replace the code: ACCELEROMETER_RATE = 1000, then it updates corretly.

    Hello

As I said on your other thread:

In order to write in the shared directory/documents, your application should request action "access_shared" and it must be granted by the user. Make sure you have

    access_shared

    in your bar - descriptor.xml.

Also note that the shared documents folder may not be the best place to write the application log data. There is one connects / in the sandbox to this effect, or the application directory data / directory if the information should be persisted. The documents/shared/folder is designed for documents that the user creates or interacts with.

  • No incorrect readings, but what is a good solution?

I am new to Oracle and I recently discovered that there is no reading (reading data stop) in Oracle.

This is the problem that I am trying to solve:

I have a table that has a bunch of lines representing hours of some reports that should be running. Each line has a status column. I have a separate process that was going to read this table clamp the first regular element and run it. I was about to transact the whole process of execution. The first thing that would be is I would update the status column to ' (was) 'R' (market), then I ran the item, and finally I would update the State towards the of '. The reason for all the status changes, is there a website sitting in front of it that allows the user to Setup or modify these hours. Business rules are that the user can change the schedule at any time, except when the report runs. I just context of SQL Server, I thought that updating the status of 'R' and then do a bad read on the site and seeing that the situation is now at 'R' would make this case by not allowing the user to change the calendar. But since there are no incorrect readings, what are you doing? Of course we don't have to deal with the whole process, we can update the status of first commit, then run the planned element and then update the status back and validation, but this is not a good solution for me, b/c, what happens if there is an exception in the meantime.

I think there must be some sort of a good design pattern that Oracle users from cases such as the present case. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks to you all.

It seems that you will have to use a separate table (log) to hold the current state of the transaction in flight. In order to VALIDATE the records in this table, you will need to use "PRAGMA TRANSACTION INDEPENDENT", which tells Oracle that it is an independent operation and is not related to the parent transaction which gave birth to it.

Attention, however, and strictly control the scope of the PRAGMA.

  • Incorrect activity data

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to correct the incorrect activity data? My wife has reduced its objectives to about 200 calories per day just to experiment with the application activity and she is still unable to achieve this goal, unless it's one day, she does a workout. She's up and down of the markets all day at work (which certainly would increase the heart rate to be considered exercise.)

Just curious to know if there is something you miss. You need to be a vegetable not to burn 200 calories per day. Objectives of settlement also work when they feel like it.

There are also times when she goes for a mile 3 fast walking up and down the hills and he gave her 10 minutes of exercise.

    Hello

Every minute movement equaling or exceeding the intensity of a brisk walk took into account in the daily exercise goals and moving of your wife.

If she supports outdoor records his iPhone with him and walks or runs as training via the application of the session training, data GPS can estimate its distance and pace. Otherwise, it is important for his arms swinging naturally as she walks or races, because the watch relies on the movement of arms (identified through the built-in accelerometer) to follow the movement. Unless the application of the training session is used, heart rate data are not required account in the estimate of exercise or calories. The daily focus of travel is also active energy / calories (rest energy / calories are not taken into account).

Calibration of watch your wife will allow him to estimate more precisely various fitness and results related to the activity (by teaching how his arm movements relate to "Stride" lengths at different speeds).

Calories and other calculations also depend on his personal information. To verify that it was entered correctly and update over time:

-On his iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > health > edit (top-right).

  • DAQ in Veristand readings do not match the MAX readings

I have three accelerometers attached to a block of SCB-68 connection that is connected to an NI PXI-6221 data acquisition on a RT system. I have created a task for each accelerometer in MAX and have tested each one to see that it works and gives appropriate readings. Veristand, I created a workspace file to test the accelerometers and I the acquisition of data created in the system Explorer. After the deployment of the system definition and running workspace, I created three simple graphics and connected ways appropriate to each curve. I reduced tensions in the same way exactly, I put on the scale the to the MAX, but for some reason, one of the accelerometers gives tensions that are far away from where they should be. The other two accelerometers work perfectly and one that does not works perfectly in MAX. So I don't think that there is a problem with the accelerometer, it just would not work in Veristand for some reason any. I wonder if there is someone who can at least have an idea of why something like this could happen. I have all three accelerometers that are related to the same connector block and I wonder if put too much in a block would do something like that.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

For all those who can do I understand what the problem is. The default setting in Veristand read channels of differential measures, so anything connected to channels 8 or below is mapped to both channels, (e) and has (n + 8), where n is the number of the channel. For me to use the accelerometers in the way I set up the I just need to go to unique benchmark measures ended (CSR) in the system Explorer.

Once again thanks for your help.

  • LabView Thermocouple temperature readings

I use the SCXI-1001 with SCXI-1102 and SCXI-1303 (LabView 8.2) in record temperatures of thermocouples type k.  My problem is that the temperatures that I see on LabView are off by about 5-10 ° c. AND they stray +/-10 ° c throughout the day.  What I've read, I think that this could be linked to the CJC.  Right now, I just CYC Source set "Permanent" with a value of "25".  I can make adjustments to it to help with the lag, but the drift just of temperatures throughout the day and the readings are again incorrect.  The room temperature changes somewhat in the region where I have this configuration, and drift in temperature seems to be linked to that.  For any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Zawer,

Your SCXI-1303 module has a welding temperature sensor cold precision thermistor, so the 'Integrated' parameter must be supported.  Try resetting the 1102 able and Automation Explorer, then restart LabVIEW.  Is thrown this error yet?

  • I need help! Analysis of the components of the accelerometer Vibration frequency

    Hello

I'm trying to analyze a signal voltage output of an analog accelerometer using Labview Full Development System.

I have no Sound and Vibration Toolkit, I am new to Labview and also new for the treatment of the Signal and analysis. It would be useful if someone could tell me if I'm doing it wrong. (or right... )

My goal is to identify the components of the vibration frequency.

I enclose a file .doc showing the block-scheme of the code and sample readings I get. Could you please look and tell me if there is something wrong with the way I did?

    Sincerely,

    Ray I. Jason Crispo

    1. to increase the resolution, you look at the formula of resoluation, Delta f = (sampling freq) / (number of sample read).  For you, the result is 1 k / 20 k = 20.  You can increase the number of samples read to increase the resolution.

    2. Yes, you must rename the axis.

    3. I think it's just an artifact of the FFT.  Tent to subtract the mean of your data and see you always get the point or not.  Maybe someone can share more about this?

@jyang, thank you very much for this. I didn't know the formula for resolution. That's why I like forums. I would have never thought than mine.

I'll try what you say on #3 and post back the result here.

  • SUM IS INCORRECT

I have a worksheet and the SUM function gives the wrong number. It's really dangerous because I need precision.

I deduced that there is a single cell, that it fails to include in the sum, even if the cell is selected.

I click on the cell, I want to add to the column, then press = and then select the column. The sum is incorrect and fails to add one of the cells

    Why?

It is so irritating and so dangerous that I need clarification on this sheet of numbers. Never had this with excel.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

without details, it is difficult to guess.

Often, the cell is not the same as the other somehow.  Maybe it's in text format, or there's a funny character in the cell.  Try to copy the data to a new table in a new document to check the results.

If you can validate the data, then we can try too.

  • 6 iOS10 incorrect percentage battery iPhone

On my 6 running latest iOS iPhone 10 (10.0.1) my battery indicator in percentage is incorrect most of the time. I can't tell if the percentage indicator is stuck or something. This happened 9 w/IOS, but seems aggravated with iOS 10. Here are two typical scenarios:

    1. indicator indicates the value > 50%, but then stops

    2. indicator indicates the value ~ 10%, but then when it is plugged in charge indicator of cable past at 30%.

I see that when people are complaining about this preliminary response was to "upgrade to iOS 9.3 +'-well, which obviously does not work for me." I would like to have an indicator that represents the amount of battery life I have left.
