Re: Qosmio F60 - sound sometimes disappear
Sometimes without being my phone in silent mode, the sound is not audible.
Then, I go to the bar windows, and after that by pressing button in silent mode and pressing on the same key again then sound appear mute.
Does anyone have an idea to put an end to this reflection and make it works directly.
t
Hank you.

Sometimes the 'secret' can be enabled using FN + ESC button.
Maybe you have activated it accidentally
On the other hand, something may be wrong with the system maybe system restore can help
Before doing this, you should also try to update/reinstall the audio driver

Re: Qosmio F60 - keyboard beep sound
Hello
I recently got my Qosmio F60 and I noticed that when I type, only really when I type fast, the computer will beep.
It is found mainly around power key (between E and D & C, U, J & M).When I type fast I have no doubt tend to hit the keys a little harder, but there are also times when I'm not pressure at all.
The sound is output from the speakers, and it does not occur when the sound is muted.
Anyone know what is that noise? He is curious and a bit boring.I made a recording of the sound to give a better idea, the ringtone does not produce this frequent I just typed garbage really quick to make a beep a lot.
I didn't know where to download the audio file I just uploaded on mediafire.[Beep example | http://download468.mediafire.com/wbabftdtnf8g/451s4klhs5cb6l0/P3220045.mp3]
Hello
Normally the laptop shouldn't t make noises when you type something so I think that it's something wrong with your laptop.
It of quite new if you recently so I send the whole device and request a new. I m sure that the seller can replace it with an another F60 which works perfectly.
By the way: I was not able to play the audio file, but it still shouldn't t make such beep so replace it with another. Then you can be happy ;)

Qosmio F60 - 10 q - Sound is crackling
Hello!
I bought a Toshiba Qosmio F60-10 q less that a year ago and after awhile I started having problems with my sound (the sound quality was very bad when the volume is higher than 50% and he made crackling noises etc. + my microphone wasn't working properly either).
I took it to the population of the warranty and they said they were diagnosed with a card his faulty and they would change it.
I waited about 2 weeks for the part to arrive and finally came back. Although they said they changed my sound card I'm not sure if that's even possible since I assume it's on board and my MAC differed not in makes me think they have changed entire motherboard or something like that.
Anyway, the laptop worked fine for 2-3 months and then it started having the same problems. I tried to think, but I really do not know if something specific triggered the problem. I had no time to consider new because I was in an exam session and I really need my laptop atm. My question is this:
Is a unusual problem and nobody knows what might be the cause of this? I mean if I'm doing something that I shouldn't be, and it is originally this sound card problems I can't really say what it is please any suggestion at all is welcomed!
Hello
> Well that they said they changed my sound card I'm not sure if that's even possible since I assume it's on board and my MAC differed not in makes me think they have changed entire motherboard or something like that.
Don t worry because everything was OK!
The sound card is fixed/soldered to the motherboard so it s just a sound chip on the motherboard and not actual card. Another MAC address would mean that guys have replaced the chip sound motherboard is also a new. :)I can t tell why it happened again but it of the same problem, there is no other way wait for the replacement of the motherboard again. I mean, in the case where part of the material is assigned, you cannot do anything because you need professional help for the motherboard Exchange.
What you can do is update the audio driver, but I doubt that it could help you
In any case, I m that you can identify the problem with the technicians as soon as possible and they can tell you how long the repairs would take ;)

Qosmio F60 - HDD and BIOS issues
I have a Qosmio F60. 1 months since purchase, and I'm having problems. I organize my questions for a better look.
(1) if there is a new BIOS update, should I put to update mine? Mine is currently on 2.10, and the last is 2.50! And I know the change log, because I can't find it anywhere. : S
(2) if I'm in the MBR, where there are two options (Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux) and I press the ESC key. The screen goes black, and the laptop fan is running at full speed noisy. The same thing happens if I reboot/hibernate Ubuntu. Also, this sometimes happen to the instance that I push the power button to turn on the PC, but this is rare.
(3) my HARD drive creates serious noise. I think that all hard drives have, but I have to check if it is safe, and what could be the cause. The sound is little consecutive cracks when the HARD drive is reading.
(4) the BIOS I found (2.50) is for the model no: PQF65-E, while mine is PQF65-L. I ran the .exe, and he identified my current BIOS without any compatibility issues. Although I don't actually flashed the BIOS, because I want to question 1) answered first.
Thanks in advance
> 1) if there is a new BIOS update, should I update mine? Mine is currently on 2.10, and the last is 2.50! And I know the change log, because I can't find it anywhere. : S
Well, if you have problems, then an update of the BIOS can be useful.
Here you will find an instruction how to do this:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=60(> 2) if I'm in the MBR, where there are two options (Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux) and I press the ESC key. The screen goes black, and the laptop fan is running at full speed noisy. The same thing happens if I reboot/hibernate Ubuntu. Also, this sometimes happen to the instance that I push the power button to turn on the PC, but this is rare.
Sorry mate, but as I know Linux is not supported by Toshiba. So I can't say about concerns generally Linux could react a little bit different as a windows OS and of course the cooling modules could run differently also.
(> 3) my HARD drive creates serious noise. I think that all hard drives have, but I have to check if it is safe, and what could be the cause.
The sound is little consecutive cracks when the HARD drive is reading. In your case I would always back up data on another HARD drive or a disk to be always on the safe side.
I mean the HARD drive can still die and it s better to have backups of backup. -
Moan (beep) Qosmio F60
Hey!
My Qosmio F60 making a very annoying beep. The source of this beep is about the left side of the keyboard under the Q, W, A, S buttons. It is only if the laptop do not have to work hard. If I play games or watch TV, the sound has disappeared.
Anyone have the same problem?
Maybe you can help me solve this problem.
Thank you_specifications: _
Intel® Core i5 - 430 M (2.26 / 2.53 Turbo GHz |) Front side bus: 1,066 MHz | level 2: 3 MB cache)

NVIDIA® | NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M with CUDA technology> Only if the laptop don't have to work hard.
Start your laptop, enter the BIOS settings and leave it for a while. Can you hear that sound again? To be honest, it is not easy to say with certainty what he can be, but if you can hear it over and over again, I think that you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. So you have the new notebook with valid warranty the repair will be free.
Some software related issue can be fixed easily but I assume that the described issue is material on the issue, then the best option is to contact the service and ask for help.

Need serial key of Windows 7 for the Qosmio F60 - 10J
Hello
Unmountable Boot Volume Windows 7
I need to reinstall my Qosmio F60-10J. Reference: PQF65E-007026FR
but my serial number windows 7 disappeared.I have the Toshiba serial number, how do I find information for windows 7?
Thanks for your help.
Hi, I'm also in the same boat.
Try to do a HARD drive recovery, but my post got renegade to the subforum "valorisation" (where no one responds to the month) even though I submitted it specifically on win7 forum.
A link for those interested:
https://Forum.Toshiba.EU/showthread.php?88336That's what I've learned so far...
Option a. You have the recovery disk media or a partition:
You're lucky and you won't need the product key anyway (it won't be asked during the installation it is 'embedded' kind of talk in image of toshiba).Option b. You deleted the partition or replaced the drive and does not follow the manual where Toshiba claims that should have backed up the recovery partition that you probably didn't know that you had in the first place:
B1. Congratulations, you've reached 80% of the users of this forum which will remain unanswered!
Here's my sanity check even if the product key was visible on your sticker it would still "invalid" since win7 iso doesn't work for 'standalone' keys then the key to your Toshiba is "pre-installed", i.e. If you do not use the installation of official manufacturers, the I am afraid to say, the key that you have already paid is well... useless!
B2. But don't worry not toshiba has covered you! for an affordable price of 60 euros, they can send you the installation that you have already paid for.
... Wait there's more. Unless you don't have you can use the language option when you try to buy your recovery media. Perhaps, it is still ok if you are ready to learn to finish!Good luck ignoring!
P.S. for stealth Toshiba employees here: never underestimate the damage that an angry customer can bring to your brand!

Hello
I need to know if I can delete win 7 and install Windows XP on my Qosmio F60
I am a student online and the software is not compatible with win 7 and IE8
I need at least of the video, network and WIFI win XP drivers ASAPThank you very much
[email protected]Maybe your University must understand that time WXP disappeared and more people use Win7 or Vista.
In any case, I just hope that you created the recovery DVDs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. This DVD you can use later to install Win7. Be careful about this. If you install own OS like Vista or Windows XP Home edition, you will lose this option.
Back to your question: Qosmio F60 is newer model laptop with supported Win7 only. For now WXP drivers are not available.

Qosmio F60 - computer laptop freezes
Hey!
This is the FIRST laptop I've ever put and I loved. I got my qosmio F60 is almost a year and it has this annoying a problem which is the gel.
Here are the specs: Intel Core i5 CPU M 430 2.27 GHz processor / / 6,00 GB and its operating system is 64-bit.This gel happen more often when I browse through videos uploaded like youtube or out of order in my games. In addition, this can happen when I open a single program. My screen does not black, it literally freezes my screen and all the entries in my keyboard or mouse are ignored. After that, my fan begins to spin wildly and it stays like that. Once I tried to wait for this purpose for one hour, but it has not solved anything. I can say that this happens usually a couple times a week and I often use my qosmio. Oh yes, one more thing, it is there sometimes random lag spikes for about 2-5 seconds that produce the same effect of gel and then it fades.
I am convinced that I am free from virus and I don't remember downloading anything that can be harmful to my qosmio. It's quite annoying too cause I must manually restart my computer by holding the power button and it usually interrupts my school work or save the lives of my friends in a game.
Please answer as soon as possible because I plan to send my qosmio to obtain compensation.
Hi Dyboy,
What operating system you use on your Qosmio F60? The version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or your own installation?
It might be useful to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba recovery disc.Generally speaking, it is difficult to say something about this error sometimes and so I would be to reinstall the whole system. If you can make sure that the problem is not software partner. Just take the recovery disc to do this.
At worst he s really problem of hardware, but it s fairly new specifications model so if your model is under warranty, the repair is free. It is enough to consider an official service provider and let them search your computer. :)

Qosmio F60 - how to burn a DVD?
Hi all
I recently purchased a Qosmio F60 as my first laptop and I am trying to burn a DVD. What is the normal burning time?I am a total newbie to DVD burning (this is my first attempt) and I'm trying to burn a movie that I recorded on my desktop which is 53 minutes in length. I inserted the blank DVD in the drive and click "burn" and so far, it took 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it's only 27% full. Does this sound right?
All the basic information, tips, advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Remember, I am a total newbie and need basic instructions!
Thanks in advance.
Hey Buddy,
The combustion speed is depending on the DVD player, burning speed and the data you burn. But 1 hour 30 minutes is too long, even you burn a DVD with 4, 7 GB of capacity with low burning speed.
What program you use for burning discs? I recommend Nero or CDBurnerXP freeware tool.
Also try different media, not all are compatible with all the drivers. I have good experiences with DVD-R from Verbatim and TDK discs. -
Qosmio F60 - new SSD now will not appear in the BIOS or at the Win7 Installation
I recently bought a new OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB Solid State Drive to upgrade my PC laptop Toshiba Qosmio F60 with.
After that I installed it first of all, it has been detected immediately in both the bios and during the installation of Windows 7. However, for some reason any approximately 40% of the way through installation, the computer restarts and the drive has disappeared since the BIOS all together and now, after several reboots it does not always detect!
Note that I already have the latest version of the BIOS installed on my laptop V2.70
I'm not sure what I would do here and any help would be appreciated?
Can you please set BIOS to default settings and check if the SSD is recognized in the BIOS again?
> Please note that I already have the latest version of the BIOS installed on my laptop V2.70
In my opinion it is not relevant at all. -
Qosmio F60 - 10 H - newest need display driver
Hello...
Can someone help me? I have a Qosmio F60-10 with nVidia GT330M (1 GB), but I have serious problem.
I want to play newer games, but I can't. For example, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, I played it, but it's unplayable.
Accident of textures. During the reading of defective TV game textures like tasks and forms black or gray.
Sometimes defected area gel. I have a problem with the more recent, not older games like Battlefield 2, CS, Medal of Honor: Airborne.
Does anyone know a newer driver than 187.98 for nVidia GT330M? Or Fix?Help, please
THX
Qosmio F60 is newest laptop and it isn t available in the world and you already have the problem with the display driver. It s crazy.
I doubt you'll find a newer driver on Toshiba support page so all you can try is to install the NVIDIA driver but I do not think that it won't be so easy.Problem is that the F60 Qosmio's newest model of laptop and there is no reports about similar issues.

Can Qosmio F60 - I use my another Windows 7 disk to install?
I'll buy a Toshiba Qosmio F60 in the next few days and I have seen that comes with a 64-bit restore partition it is preinstalled with 32-bit. I was wondering if I can use one of my other Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit oem disc for installing windows 7 and use the product key on the back without voiding the warranty and validated it?
Because I like a beautiful clean Windows Installer without all that other stuff like the office tests and oem software.
Don't know if this is the right place or not but just sounded.
Hello
Of course you can install Windows 7 yourself. Nobody says you have to use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba! ;)
But the product key on the underside of the laptop can't be used with other drives. He touches s an OEM manufacturer and belongs to the Toshiba preinstalled operating system. If you do your own installation, you must have your own key!
In addition, I put t understand why you want to do. The preinstalled operating system contains, as a creator of disc, eco utility, applications etc. Everything you need and what you don t like just uninstall!

I have a Qosmio, F60 - 14 Q, yesterday, I got an error "Windows has detected a hard disk problem. I contacted Toshiba support who advised me to run checkdisk which I did and 1 bad cluster was found, but the problem has not disappeared.
Then they advised me to get back to the factory setting and save before I do, then I made backup and also made a recovery CD. Then I ran the Setup program that went well, but windows has not been loaded and blue screen came.
It restarted again and request to insert a CD while I inserted the cd of restoration which lead me to the same place that I ran from recovery. The difference being it did not run this time when I tried?
I think that it does not detect the hard disk, any help would be appreciated.

You can see the details of the HARD drive in the BIOS?
Verify that access to the BIOS (press F2 during boot) and the details of the HARD drive must be mentioned on the first page.If the HARD drive is not... Well then the HARD drive is faulty
