reactivation after XP repair

could not start XP, HAL. DLL missing or damaged. Replaced file still would not start, same message. Boot.ini rebuilt, started but froze before the login screen. BONE repaired by using OEM disk, boots and can open a session but message to validate windows. Click Yes, but nothing happens. Get the normal desktop but no start menu or task bar. I can't access programs to reconfigure so suspicious web access which can be problem. Enter the valid original key during the repair of the operating system without problem. How can I activate this condition?

I have some reservations - your system is decalring a Dell OEMBIOS. DAT, but seems to have no valid data support - but the result seems to be that the installation is seen as authentic.

On this basis, it seems to be OK.

NOTE: there is a major problem with the installation of Office - and you should address this one.

  • BlackBerry Z10 no sound on speakers on Z10 more after a repair of SIM card slot.

SIM on my Z10 connector pins were broken. I went and replaced the SIM tray. Location SIM is fine now and the PINS are fixed and the SIM card is now detected properly.

But now there is NO sound on my speakers. So if someone calls the phone rings not IE no sound. However, I can talk to the other person and that he talks to me and we both can hear each other fine. Something seems to be wrong with the speakers now.

Also when I try to play the audio or video, there is NO sound. However if I plug the headphones the sound is there.

I checked the mod, the settings of all buttons, there is no problem here. The sound was perfect, until the technician fixed the location SIM.

Don't you think that he messed up the phone during the repair? Maybe everything in the re - assemble the phone he screwed the motherboard, or connect to speakers or something was wrong while welding the new SIM slot.

Everything is very much like before, except for the sound, which is gone after the repair. Would be a hard reset, reset factory etc. solve the problem? Or is it now a hardware problem that is the tech messed up during the repair of the SIM card slot?

    TIA

It was fixed to date . It's a fitting loose inside. He blew it all by setting the SIM card. He he redefined today i.e. the loose connection, that has been caused because of his mistake.

    now, the speakers are fine.

  • Satellite U840W - no RAID on BIOS option after PC repair

    Hello

I bought a U840W of August from a British seller on eBay (although I live in France). After a few months of work perfectly, he had some water damage, and I sent it to Toshiba for repair. Apparently because my warranty was valid in the United Kingdom, they gave to CONTROLS for repair (a company that sells PC Toshiba parts). They changed the motherboard (I think twice, because I had to send it because the fan was not working and they said they changed the motherboard again).

So after getting it back finally with the fan, I notice that the startup is very slow (30 sec instead of 10), and also, it was a bit slower. So I update all my drivers and notice that the caching SSDS does not work (using the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology), initially, he showed the SSD as unknown but then after completely with diskpart, it showed as available (for storage, but not for caching) ", this means no acceleration tab).

So after reading a lot, I enter the BIOS and see that I have had no RAID option for the SATA controller, only AHCI and compatibility (IDE).

Don't you think that they put the wrong mother with RAID disabled?
My BIOS version is also 6.90 and I find only 6,80 BIOS for my computer, don't you think they have access to the latest version of the BIOS, or simply that they have put another motherboard?

Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS to 6.80 (I don't know if it will help to solve it but maybe)?

I didn't contact Toshiba on the phone because it's quite expensive, I preferred to ask your opinions before here.

    Thanks in advance

    > Do you think they put the wrong mother with RAID disabled?
    No, I don't think so.

As far as I know after a replacement of SSD or HARD disk on the Mobile Satellite U840W the RAID mode is configured and TSRI (quick start of Intel technology) is not available.

To rebuild mode factory RAID, RAID mode should be rebuild and TSRI must be activated using special tools.
But as far as I know that this can be done by the maintainer agreed Toshiba.

You should get in touch with the guys once more and must explain the cell phone number.
I guess they should know how to solve this problem.

  • Cannot restart after a repair disk Warrior

I have an iMac 27 "(2010, je pense) running 10.11.2 and a terabyte of hard drive, which is more than half full."  He has been doing progressively slower for some time, so I bought Disk Warrior to rebuild the directory and, hopefully, speed things up.  The whole reconstruction process takes about 24 hours, which seemed a lot of time for me, but, finally, he informed me that everything had been repaired.  However, now when I try to reboot, I get the chime and then the logo apple with progress bar, but who just stops after 5 seconds.  I tried to reset the PMU and NVRAM but no joy. I also tried the disk utility apple recovery mode running to see if there was a problem with the permissions, but no joy there.  Would there be any point in rerunning Disk Warrior?  I had rather not go through another 24 hours without the computer, if there is a faster solution.  Any ideas anyone?

Try a boot sure try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

FWIW Disk Warrior is not intended to be used for the purposes of general maintenance. It is mainly to fix problems that disk utility can not and for the recovery of lost files. If your Mac is slow, it is probably caused by material insufficient, intrusive or incompatible software or a problem hardware no software will correct. When you get your Mac running again to run and view a report of EtreCheck and we can give you some suggestions for return to normal http://etrecheck.com/

  • Will there be any problem of reactivation after the XP system restore?

I just do a system restore (if out-of-the-box original factory of the machine) to a disk image.  After starting in Windows XP Pro SP2 I have entered configuration information initial requested as well as (as requested) Windows product key, but I jumped the (reactivation) activation step for now.  The motherboard has been replaced a year ago and I added RAM.  I all provided with the machine when you purchase including an OEM Windows XP SP2 "Recovery disc".  Will I have problems trying to activate/reactivate Windows or do I have to call Microsoft customer service to begin with.  Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

If the replacement motherboard was provided by Dell and Windows XP is as you mentioned a Dell OEM Dell recovery disk is required to provide support by Dell with Microsoft license agreement. If the computer is still in warranty, then support should be free.

Activation should not be a problem as long as the product key belongs to the OEM recovery disk.

  • Lockout after no repair install - no admin password

I did a scan to install & repair malware after a virus corruption. I can get to the desktop in SafeMode (& have networking), but in normal mode I am locked. The login screen asking password Admin, & it does nothing. I have never had a password, or even been invited to enter one in the past.

I looked at my user accounts in the Control Panel, & is not the passwords assigned to anything... So, how can I bypass the logon screen to go directly to the desktop as it did before?

Please return your previous post. You seem to have the impression that your computer is malware free since you did a scan with Kapersky. I know me. No anti-virus or malware scanner has a 100% detection rate. For this reason, you need to scan with several scanners.

Open Control Panel > user accounts > click "Change the way users log on and out". Place a check mark in the check box use the Welcome screen.

  • Unable to activate Windows XP Home Edition after the repair facility.

Of that, I was running a Dell Dimension 5000 bought from the Dell website in 2005. After this computer from run very slowly, I decided on an upgrade. So I removed the hard drive of this computer with XP Home Installation and everything what it intact and plugged the hard drive into a completely new computer (that I bought and customized piece by piece). I also installed Windows XP Pro using the ability of XP to run dualboot. Now the Pro works well, but has of course none of the programs of the host OS installed as even if Pro and Home are installed on the same drive C, Pro of course did not the registry of home settings. That's fine, but when I chose the House to the splash screen immediately after my computer upward once again, I have encountered an error saying that Windows has shut down the computer to prevent damage etc. by a blue screen of death. So I fixed installed House, by inserting the Home CD in the CD drive (which is also new and I bought, not even the one from my old computer to 2005), choice of APPETIZER and not the repair console and then clicking R to repair the detected existing OS. I fixed installed and I was thrilled when the problem has been resolved. When I chose the House and after having set up, I was greeted by the familiar screen with users that I had set up on my PC of 2005. When I clicked the user admin, typed the password, he accepted the password and then a box came up saying I had to activate Windows before I could open a session. By clicking on the number resulted in the user disconnects automatically before the start menu or desktop appeared. Clicking Yes led me to a screen that gives me the choice to choose between online and phone activation. As my entire computer (except for the hard drive) is new, the internet network adapter is also new, and that's why the internet settings (the 2005 model old) which I had not yet changed on the Pro Installation do not allow me to activate via the net. I tried via telephone following all the instructions and punch in the 25 digit code generated by the wizard in the phone and told me that the operator could not generate a code (for me 2 type in the boxes provided and therefore use to activate XP Home). I then shut down the PC, went to the installation of Pro, changed the IP settings according to the instructions given to me by the ISP to the phone and checked the net now works on installation of Pro IE. It worked, and I now turned off, chose the House and tried to activate on the net and there is not yet well make sure that my computer is connected to the net. I even clicked on the phone option and changed my ID by typing my OEM 25 product key numbers and clicking Refresh. I tried again by phone and still could not activate my installation in a House. The installation CD home I used was the 2 me by my Builder (a purple disk saying OPERATING SYSTEM: ALREADY INSTALLED on YOUR COMPUTER). This CD certainly isn't a forgery because I ordered directly from DELL and not even the 2005 Bill to prove it. Is it because I changed my system components and not my hard drive with it, which is the origin of this problem? How can I fix this without backup everything and remove the installation of the House and then re - install?

"ArjunC" wrote in message News: 3df4138b-2174-4cb1-821e-0527dc60da2c...

In fact the Windows XP Pro has been installed by the people who moved the hard drive to the new computer. I never asked for it. But remove XP Pro still wouldn't solve my problem. I need to find a way to use my original of 25 characters product key or get a key of success generated by phone so that I can log on to Windows XP Home Edition and continue to use my PC as how I used my old. Some people have told me that I can convince to install MS by phone that I transferred the disk hard - 2 a new computer and then tried a repair but the problem is that all the numbers given on Activation Wizard phone are automated, giving instructions, asking the ID generated by the wizard and then telling me that they are unable to generate an ID for activation. If there is human here, how do you convince a machine of my innocence :)

You need to reinstall using an XP Home OEM disk - see if one of your friends has one you can borrow. The key on your COA sticker will be valid for this.
You can also contact Dell and ask them to provide a set of disks in your machine - for a price.
