ReadIris Pro 12

I would like to know why the owners of the Photosmart C7200 Series multifunction printers are not able to upgrade their software with ReadIris Pro 12.

If I understand correctly what you ask well, let me give you an analogy.

If a PC comes with an operating system, then the fact that a new operating system by the manufacturer of the operating system even has released a newer version does not mean that the owner of the new PC GET free OS.

If your printer was packaged with Readiris 10, the chances of your receiver 14 Readiris, which is the last free version of the program, is pretty thin.

It is not an HP product that even he can come with few printers (not yours besides). If you want to work with Windows 8.1, you may need higher version as version 14.

  • HP Office jet 6600 Readiris Pro 12

Just bought a HP Officejet 6600

Installed the disc that came with it and saved - now can't find Readiris Pro 12 on the computer - searched all files - where it installs? There is an icon on my desktop for I.R.I.S. Resource Center - but nothing for the program.

I have another printer HP (laserjet) came with a separate disc of Readiris pro 12 - but when I tried to install it on the second computer (not being able to find on this computer) - he told me I could only install once - I had already done on another computer.  Help, please. Thank you, vellenw

    Hello-

Readiris Pro 12 software only comes with some model printers. I don't think that it is with the 6600 JO. It would have been on a separate disk. IRIS OCR software is included and can provide scanned text editable (RTF file)

    I hope this helps.

  • 8500 a909n scan & print of Readiris Pro 11 and Acrobat 10.1.3 is distorted

Scan doctor says everything is OK, but Readisis 11 pro and Acrobat 10.1.3 scans fall dpi required (600-> 300) and when the scan is printed, the image is shrunk and 0.5 "white space is added at the top and bottom. Said update drivers are up-to-date (Windows 7-64 bit, HP a909n, Readiris pro 11, & Acrobat 10.1.3). Kaspersky full scan shows no virus. Readiris is unable to find the edge unless the page is in the middle (flat). See the native mode is defined, but no properties don't pop up. . Properties continue to change at random analysis from page to page (front and back).

It's the thing.  It is not a question or a problem with the duplexer.  It's just how it works.  The duplexer reformatted the verso of a print out differently than it does the front.  Inkjet printers, it leaves space so that the ink will not smear.  Laser printers, it leaves space to avoid the toner smears.  It's just the way is designed the duplex function.  I'm sorry.

  • loading the scanner problem with Readiris Pro 14

    Hello

I need to scan a few pages at a time and you want to use the top paper on my model feeder an Officejet Pro8610

When I use the software Readiris Pro14 this does not activate the feed mechanism.

The only way the scan works if for keep me from lifting the lid and placing sheets upside down on the main scanning surface plate, is there a way around that a software update? perhaps.

The top loader works when I use the printer itself as a stand alone without Readiris software

    Hello @taxi105,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you do a lot of scanning with your HP Officejet 8610 and Readiris Pro 14 scanning program. You would like to scan several pages using your ADF Document (ADF), however the ReadIris software does not give you the opportunity to do.

Because that a 3rd party software, you must contact their support because we do not have any control over the scan options they convey in their programs: ReadIris Pro Support Page

That being said you do not have the ability to scan multiple pages using the ADF with the HP software already on your computer. Maybe you can scan items in your computer, and then add them to your ReadIris program?

Please click on the link below, once on the page select your operating system and choose the Scan WITH HP software and follow the instructions on the screen:

    How to scan

I hope this helps, if you have more questions feel free to ask!

    Thank you

  • Readiris

I try to install my Readiris Pro 12 on my new HP Envy and iti constantly tells me, your system has not been modified. "cand is abandonment of the facility. My printer is a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus and is installed and running. What is the problem I encounter?

Hi, just to ley you know that I contacted Readiris and they said, "this is an embarrassing problem that is not unique to Readiris or Windows 8. I had to deal with this since Windows XP and there is no definitive answer to this problem. "However, they gave me a plan B that has worked. My Advisor is to anyone with the problem to communicate with them. I thank you for your time and expertise.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 OCR does not not on Windows 10

I need analyze many articles and OCR is essential. I tried to use the program to scan HP on my computer, but it does not give me the option to save it as an indexed PDF. I uninstalled the HP software and I tried to reinstall from the disc supplied, but it does not work because I'm running Windows 10. I then downloaded the software from the HP Web site, but when it came to choose what I want to be installed, he said what I.R.I.S. OCR is already installed. I checked in my programs and it cannot be found. In any case, I continued and opened to the top of the HP screen and tried to scan, but it doesn't always have the option to indexed PDF. I tried the solution resolved on another thread and completely everything reinstalled, but nothing has changed. Then I found another thread with a link to a download Readiris Pro 14, but it says that I need to finish activation by putting the rear HP CD, which does not work because I'm running Windows 10. So now I can scan, but I have no OCR.

    What should I do?

    I could solve the problem.

I used the instructions on another post to completely remove the OCR using Microsoft Fix It application, which then allowed me to download the HP software again and install it from scratch. Now I am able to install the OCR software that comes standard with HP printers.

This is the post with the solution: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/How-to-completely-uninstall-all-traces-of-HP-Photosmart/td-p/2468991

  • scanner HP officejet 4500 g510n Readiris (OCR) does not yet recognize will scan using hp OCR

    Greetings,

    OfficeJet 4500 g510n wireless, windows 8, readiris pro 14.

OCR, scanning works fine using the ocr software supplied with the cd printers.

Readiris is no Twain especially for the 4500 but has "hp twain others."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the TWO printing software and the readiris program

Readiris refuses to recognize my printer "failed to open the default Twain source" and "the scanner is not responding.

Readiris support has not responded to my request sent 5 days ago - makes me wonder if their software is the same as their 'support' - pretty useless!

    any suggestions please

    Concerning

The way I understand it, readiris works that on HP scanners or all-in-One printers offer no OCR software. He added this feature for scanners and printers who have not already. As the 4500 has already built an OCR software, readiris software will not work. I'm not 100% certain about it, as I've only dealt with the OCR of HP software, but what I've read, that's my understanding.

  • MFP HP Laserjet Pro 200 color M276nw

How to scan up to 30 or 50 pages at a time, good quality yet NB a size compressed for assignments with this printer? I have HP LJ200 M276 Scan.  I also have the Readiris Pro 12 software provided with the product, but the quality and compression is not to be reckoned with Readiris. Surely I don't have to splash out for another scanner?

Also, I don't seem to find the quantity of sheets you can load in the ADF (document feeder).

    Hi T3L,.

You could try a Third Party Software.

Depending on what you do with the file later, you can scan at high resolution and then compress the file zipping it. Similar to the use of Winzip software.

    Sorry, I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • LJ Pro MFP m127fn: OCR for M127fn

  • LaserJet Pro N1212NF MFP: N1212NF MFP Scanner offline

Whenever I try to scan a document (with or without the help of the doc feeder, whatever), the printer/scanner disconnects 99 times out of 100, so it is impossible to use.  If I look at the screen "Devices and printers" in Windows, the printer icon for the 1212 grey out (off line) and a 'reader' CDROM appears under "devices."  He temporarily stays that way, and then the icon of the printer back online.

I already asked about this problem and I was told that I had to update the firmware in the printer, but the sequence of menu, I was instructed to use does not exist in the printer menu.

The printer seems to print normally even if there are moments when it passes between online and offline intermittently every few seconds.  Yet once, I look at the screen "Devices and printers", the greys out printer icon and an icon of CD-ROM is displayed momentarily.

This made the unusable device for scanning, and I NEED to use it to scan documents.  (Have tried both "Readiris Pro" and "VueScan x 64" programs with the same result. "")

At one point, I found the instructions in a forum to extinguish the memory of the internal driver (which appears as a CDROM drive) but that either has to reset or did not work at first and now I can not find the entrance to the forum where it says how to do.  (It was a combination of button press/hold and sequences that are not obvious).

Help!  (Before I get out my hammer and make some "delicate material adjustments" on this beast)

    Hi Alan_Ritter,

Thanks for the update from me. So far so good.

I've provided the steps for disabling the Smart Install of the printer. Just to rule out any future problem.

Go to start, computer, right-click the CD printer and left click Open in a new window, go to util/siutility.exe/HP Smart Install Utility.
Shows printer or PC - select printer.
    Then click on disable.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • OfficeJet 8500 A909n scanned of the impressions of image reduced to 0.25 "

I did a complete new installation of new drivers for intsaller version 14.0. Scan solution Center (8.5x11.0"using the bucket, original in the upper right corner) looked precise and saved as a picture. PDF file.  I then printed with Adobe Reader and Readiris Pro 11 and they both printed the reduced image "1/8 on all sides (sometimes 0.25" up and down) - I could now see the page border line that wasn't in the picture displayed by the Solution Center scan (I have crops 8.5x14 in 8.5 x 11).

How can I get an exact copy as what I get when I use the 8500 as a manual Copier?

Shane_R HP provided the following information:

It is not a question or a problem with the duplexer.  It's just how it works.  The duplexer reformatted the verso of a print out differently than it does the front.  Inkjet printers, it leaves space so that the ink will not smear.  Laser printers, it leaves space to avoid the toner smears.  It's just the way is designed the duplex function.
