ReadyBoost does not recognize that the media meets the needs, but it works fine on another computer also running Vista Premium SP2 hope

We strive to use readyboost on a 4 Gb Sandisk USB drive. It works fine on a computer running Vista Home Premium, but not on the other. Second computer indicates that the drive does not have the requirtements to use. He worked at one time, but is no longer. We tried all of the steps in other areas, NOTHING of GOOD!

Please advise as soon as POSSIBLE!

Sounds like the drive has failed.  You can try to clean with a CD/DVD audio standard disk cleanup, but if it fails, then the reader should probably be replaced.

  • 35.0.1 Firefox does not recognize that the last flash is installed

There was a series of updates to flash, and I kept with them as helped my package manager. However, firefox is not recognize later as the last.

topic: plugins, shows that the version is 11.2.202.425
My Package Manager shows that the version is 11.2.202.440

Firefox and my package manager agree on the way to the .so file. Actually, I copied the path to the file so on firefox and checked in the terminal and it is the version of the right package AND chains told me that the incorporated itself into the .so version string is the most recent. Yet, somehow, firefox really, really think it is version.425 instead de.440.

I restarted firefox. I even rebooted, even if it should not be necessary.

Currently, this version of Flash has been marked as vulnerable:
Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.440 and earlier for Linux

It's weird that package and everything: plugins page is different however.

This also occurs when you update to the latest: [11.2.202.442]

  • Why my PC does not recognize that the connection is USB 3.0?

I installed a card PCI of Renesas with two USB 3.0 ports to accommodate my two backup/storage external USB drives. Now on startup, I get a message like "USB mass storage device can process information faster if you connect it to a super speed USB 3.0 connection" (maybe not the exact words since the message is only for a split second - thanks Renesas)

The utility provided with the card USB host controller has no function configuration - thanks again!

Tips on how can I convince my PC that that * is * a USB 3.0, these two storage devices are connected to?

Well the MB chipset determines USB data. Try to go to the chipset mfg MB (intel, amd, etc.).

Download the chipset for youre chipset installation utility, an updated version can run with 3.0

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Is it recognized in Windows Explorer?

If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool to solve the problem. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter to check if it detects anything:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

    I hope that helps!

  • After you have installed the Windows updates, my computer does not recognize that there is a disc in the DVD - ROM thing

I had this problem for weeks and only recently someone told me that it is perhaps for this reason.
I tried several things to fix, and one of those who created an error where when I clicked on drive E in Windows Explorer, it looks like:

    E:\ application not found

So, in the end, I wiped my computer and everything on it and rebooted again.

    IT TOOK FOUR HOURS.

So, I've set up the computer as I did when I got it 2 years ago, and everything was fine. I could insert a disc, it reads that and I was able to install my game, no problems.

Now, I have reset everything up, and there are more than 2000 updates to update installed. So I did.

SO NOW, after all this, which took another TWO HOURS - he does not all disks again.

I play the Sims 3 - fiercely - and so I tried to re - install all my expansion packs, but it does not now.

I DON'T want to make that whole process again and install all my games before updating Windows, because I believe, even if I did that, once I've updated, I can't play the game, because my laptop does not recognize that the game disc is there.

    Help, please.

I spent so much money on these games, and I love them! I don't have the money to buy a new computer.

  • My flash player has been updated and still does not recognize that its been updated

My flash player has been updated and still does not recognize that its been updated on sites like facebook. I restarted my computer several times, tried to reinstall the latest version of flash player, active manage add ons and clicked active x (all windows instructions). But while that in facebook, I can't download the images as I used to on my old laptop, its me to download 1 by 1, because it says that I don't have the latest version of flash player, BUT I DON'T!

Flash Player in Windows 8 is embedded you do not download it and all updates are are through Windows Update. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

Help, please. My laptop does not recognize that anything that is connected to the USB ports.

    Moved from feedback

Original title: problems with USB ports

    Hi Alba.

    1. who is the operating system installed on the computer?

    2. What is the brand and model of the computer?

This issue may be caused if one of the following situations arises:

    • The currently loaded USB driver has become corrupt or unstable
    • Your PC requires an update for problems that could conflict with an external hard drive USB and Windows
    • Windows may be missing other problems hardware or software updates
    • Your USB controllers may have become corrupt or unstable
    • External drive can enter selective suspend
    • Your PC motherboard may need updated drivers

I suggest to connect the USB device to a different USB port and check.

You can run the Fixit provided in the article and the Coachman.
