Really loud and annoying beep regarding power cord

Hello

I have a N500 and everything: I plug/unplug the power cable or the battery is almost discharged a really loud beep is emitted by the mobile phone, try as I might I can't seem to get rid of this sound.

Is there anything I can do about it, if I cut the mobile it puts also mute, but I'd rather delete outright.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

  • Pavilion m6 - stop suddenly and mystery of the power cord

    Hi people,

I got a very strange problem with my laptop from m6-1035dx Pavilion the past two days. This is a reconditioned unit and have had some problems with it in the past (both hardware and software-related) that I managed to fix me, but this one left me speechless.

It started yesterday when the computer was placed on a bed (with a CoolerMaster pad below, which I almost never separate the portable device) and immediately turn off the power. In the past, I had problems with heat stops, that I solved with a bit of air in canned and CoolerMaster pad said, so I don't think much. But the same thing happened today, and I noticed that when it has restarted, it does not recognize the fact that the computer is plugged in. Unplugged the cord/AC converter to three points (computer, converter, wall) and tried again, still nothing. Tried another outlet, blew the vents, power off and removed/re-inserted battery, still no recognition of the power. I reinstalled HP CoolSense (which I had removed several months before) and hope that would take care of things. Meanwhile, I shut the computer off again, and the LED power indicator lit on its own.

Several hours later, the computer was reactivated and placed on a flat surface. Someone tripping over the cord, and the computer turns off again. The LED power indicator is out once more, so I unplugged the power cord and left for a few minutes. Blocked again, and the power was back.

I am reasonably confident that I should replace the power cord at this point, but I want expert advice before I commit the money that him. It may also be interesting to note that while the power cord did not work, the battery (92%) had about two hours and six minutes of use remaining, which is well below the advertised battery capacity (to be noted that only Chrome was running at the time) and what I saw of the battery in the past. I think that the cable or converter can be shorted, then is it safe to use the computer at all? Wouldn't be a good idea to replace the battery as well? I will provide any other details if necessary and thank you in advance for any help or advice.

    Hi maestro35,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you are having feeding problems with your Pavilion m6. I'll be happy to help you with this. If it is running with the battery, I wouldn't worry about the replacement of the battery quite yet. As for the fact that it gives you less time announced that it could be the mere fact that the battery life decreases over time. You don't mention your operating system, this is why I have included two links below which will allow you to test and calibrate the battery. This will confirm that the battery is working properly.

Test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7)

Test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

I agree that it appears as if the power cord is the question. If you have a similar cord, you might give it a try to see, but there's a chance it might be the prospects of power supply for laptop. If something is shorted, then you shouldn't really use the laptop but without testing actually physically we will not be able to determine if something is put in short circuit.

  • noise loud and annoying of the DVD drive to the power of the system on

Hello, I have a laptop Dell Precision M6800 equipped with the stock of DVD GS40N burner. When turn on/off the system the DVD player makes a noise as if it is trying to load a disc while there is not present in the drive Bay. The noise goes away if I leave a disc inserted and the power of the system, but this is hardly a solution to the issue.

The drive runs ok the rest of the time, it's making load noise when I switch on the laptop or when you exit the BIOS configuration, but not in the OS restarts, so I think it's something related to POST stock that is executed when the turn on/off the system. I've updated the BIOS through each published version, including the latest version A14, but the problem is still present.

This is normal for this model of DVD player? It's pretty boring.

Hello Mr. Osprey4, thanks for the quick response. My system is UEFI boot which, in my opinion, automatically detects disks that have the files needed to do a UEFI boot mode.  If I'm not confused it means that the DVD appears as a boot device only when a UEFI boot DVD is inserted, only then I can uncheck the option to boot from the dvd in BIOS, but as I mentioned the noise is present only when there is no disc in the Bay, but when there is no disc There is no option for unckeck in the bios because UEFI Setup does not detect the dvd as a bootable device if there is no boot drive UEFI is inserted.

Bot is another option to select the legacy startup that has the classic options with checkboxes for the floppy drive, HARD drive, DVD, network and so on, and I tried this also. I turned off the dvd player in the startup list, applied the settings and you exit the BIOS but noise from the dvd Bay was always present.

  • Chromebook Acer 15 power cords... where to find them?

    I have a question:

I bought two Acer Chromebook of 15 models and wonder if the power cords and cables to each of them can be used for both of them. Hello

Yes, these are the same adapters for two laptops:

  • OfficeJet 8600 more: power cord with adapter for Officejet 8600 set more lost

Lost my power cord complete with adapter. Can I use a power cord generic Office Depot, without the 'square' on the wire? Or is it necessary to have the power cord with the adapter, as it was originally? It will damage my 8600 more to use a power cord without this "square" in the annex on my more than 8600 all-in-One? Thank you.

    Hello @DB2,

I understand that you have lost the power cord for your HP Officejet Pro 8600 more e-all-in-one printer and you want to replace it. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. The HP Officejet 8600 more only comes with a power cord. The adapter is built into the back of your printer. You have to unscrew the back of your machine in order to access it. Therefore, if you buy a spare power cord it should work perfectly for you.

The power requirements for this machine are:

    • Power: Universal power adapter (external)
    • Power consumption: Input voltage: 100 to 240 VAC (± 10%), 50/60 Hz (± 3 Hz)

    Output voltage: + 32V / + 12V to 1095 mA/170 my

    • Consumption: 30 watt impression (project Quick Mode); 32 watts copy (Fast draft Mode)

  • T500 annoying beep! (the cause is not battery power management and no BEEP in Device Manager)

I have ThinkPad T500, 2241, CTO. Whenever laptop starts, there's an annoying beep. It is not a signal that can be had when the power state changes. BIP is both in power and disabled Manager in the power management BIOS section. In addition, in the Device Manager in the list of non-plug-and-play, I disabled the BEEP. This noise is still there. Update BIOS. However, there is no other section in the BIOS where I can disable the beep. Help, please!

There's nothing there. I contacted Lenovo support center - they said a beep at the beginning is fine and standard, nothing to worry.

    Hello

If the instructions that you need a cable then you need a cable. On several printers now, you don't need USB cable for Setup (that's why many boxes do not have) and you can run the installation on your computer or a button on the printer.

    Kind regards.

  • power cord and power cuts

Hello.  I have a Pavilion dv7-3171nr, Windows 7.  It's a laptop.  In the last few days, I noticed some strange things that I've finally pinned down for my power cord.  I've been hear a sound like a bug zapper.  Not as loud, very weak, that's why it took me so long to locate where the devil noise came from.  When I hear the noise, it caused small power outages in the lamp which is located in the room in which I work.  Then, of course, at first I think it is the lamp, or the light bulb, our electric system... Anyway yesterday I finally put the finger on it at the exit of that my power cord is plugged.  When I unplugged it, all of these symptoms have disappeared.  At that moment, I realized that it was plugged in all the other times also in all other rooms, I was in when all this was going on.  Everyone knows about this problem with a power cord?  I had a lot of laptops over the years and this is a first for me!

    Good decision.

  • My iPad displays a symbol of power cord and iTunes

I tried all things hold sleep button to connect to the computer, then hold power button waiting and then start your computer repair but the iPad won't do anything except show the same screen, then after a few hours, the iPad is going to a dead battery. I tried to put the power cord but just ping guard. HELP Please,

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

  • Satellite C660D - 181 Power Cord issues and can not read CD or DVD

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660D-181 and my power cord has had problems with the connection. I plugged it in and the light on the left indicating it is plugged in and charged off and my cell phone begins to lose his load.

I must escape around and try to get it just in the right position to show him it is plugged. I have it plugged into an extension of the Strip which is connected to the main outlet (and the only outlet) in the room.

I use it exclusively in the living room so I'm close to the telephone and TV, so move it to another room will not be the answer. I'm afraid that the repair costs would be too high and the purchase of a new laptop computer is out of the question for now.

Another question, I'll have, it's that I can't read a CD or a DVD. I have Windows Media Player and Apple Quick time Player. I chose to play the media instantly, but it still does not work. I installed cc registry cleaner to see if it was a registry problem, but no joy there. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.

The most important issue to address at the moment is the power supply cord. I appreciate your help. Please, profane as computer jargon escapes me.

    > I worry that repair costs would be too high and the purchase of a new laptop computer is out of the question for now
What is this option? You want to fix it yourself?
Don t think that it s a real option since you would need good parts, hand tools, maintenance and find out how to fix it.

Since you and I don t know exactly the cost of repair, I would recommend first asking how this fix could be I mean, you can request a service in your country for a price and could decide if its worth for you

  • Looking for an AC adapter and power cord for a HP Pavilion 2 p-1105, PN:QW819AA. Parts order fiasco.

Not my computer, but my father, apparently he has lost the power adapter and power cord before he surrendered.

I have never had a difficult experience find a part, it's like the HP support site is this circular black hole. I understand that this isn't a standard power supply, but HP power cord... Seriously, why the specifications list and the list is not part numbers.

Call the customer support isn't much better, was routed from the line parts store to the HP Shopping, back to the parts store channel. Each single representative that I spoke too cannot identify this part.

a guy tried to tell me everything that I needed was a rope, according to the installation instructions, is not correct.

At this point, I'm extremely frustrated and very unlikely never recommend or buy an HP product again.

    Here are the specifications of the desktop HP Pavilion p2-1105. According to the specifications of the computer, this model requires an external power supply with the following features;

    External 90W power supply (100V-240V)

    Total wattage: 90W

    Input voltage:

    100-127V/3A (50-60 Hz)

    200-240 v/2A (50-60 Hz)

    Output voltage: 19V

Based on the HP part Surfer parts list for the product number: QW819AA - model name: desktop HP PAVILION P2 - 1105, the following seem to be what you are looking for.

    HP P/N 213349-001 - cord (black) - three sons, 3.0 m (9.8 ft) long - right taken C5 (F) (Canada and United States)
    HP P/N 619752-001 - food - Ext AC Adpt Lolonis-r RT Angle Connector 90W

HP P/N 695835-001 - 90W square EPS (Domino) 3 p (which seems to be an alternative to the HP P/N 619752-001)

    Please send Bravo

  • Power cord power supply and adapters for series nr9700

I would like to buy a replacement power supply cord and possibly an adapter for my laptop nr9700.  passing by the parts store is quite expensive but I think 11.25 in freight for a power cord is outrageous.213349 - 001 is the part number for the power supply cord and 432309-001 for the adapter.  Is there something else comparable for the power cord?

I have a wireless connection and want to move the laptop from one room to the other without constantly by unplugging and plugging it in.

Or you could just buy it here to 63.99 USD (sale today) - includes sector and power cord adapter and it comes with a 1 year warranty.
