  I have a code to programmatically update a users profile, however, it does not for all users due to their permissions. Because of code, using the UserProfileManager.getProfileForUpdate () method, the exception below may be of some use.

  Search for Application that are used in your WebCenter Portal roles and modify the application role. It will show you the permissions applied to the role.

• Were there an update recently that could trigger my computer load his new user profile instead of my own profile at startup?

  I get the grey Dell Inspiron screen at startup instead of my profile, and all my display settings and startup programs disappeared. This corrects sometimes when I restart and sometimes I get the grey screen again.   Common causes of corruption of the repeated profiles:

  1. bad or, failing hard drive, no spare parts no sectors left.  Run chkdsk on the drive.  Get a diagnostic utility of disk from the web site of the manufacturer of the disc and check the disc.

  2 - bad RAM, run a memory diagnostic test.

  3 - viruses and other such parasites.

  4 applications - bad or ill-conceived.

  5-bad or incomplete discharge of the user, ususally caused by #4 hive.  Something is trying to write to the user hive or maintain the registry handles open when the computer is currently stopped.  Install the Microsoft user profile Hive Cleanup service

  After you have installed the latest important updates (published 08/13/2013-see below) and then restart, I was unable to log-in to my profile. I received the following message on the login screen: "the user profile Service has no logon. User profile cannot be loaded. I can now log in normally.   Thanks for your suggestion. I installed one at a time, restarting after each of them (tedious). However, this method was successful.

  I found that the only way to open a session is shutting off the power and I rstarting in safe mode that will accept my password of user profile and then select a restore point prior to download, and then he accepts my user profile and password.

  All went to watch the C:\Users folder on my server to connect internal and noticed there are profiles it for all of my users. We will connect with zero clients for a floating office pool and redirect all profiles using the Persona management, so I'm surprised to see them here. No idea why the user profile folders created on the VCS?

  I had this same problem with my login server. I had about 30 users on one of them and less than 10 on the other. I couldn't find any reason to make it, so I ended up opening a case of low priority with VMware Support. They have found the answer:

  Thinking about it some more, this organizations probably affects the only running the customer view as a replacement for Explorer shell (do us), effectively replace normal windows authentication. So basically, when a password is about to expire, the only interface that they need to change it is through the Client view. Apparently this changes the mechanism eventually create an empty profile on windows server itself?

  Article, it would be interesting to test changing the newspaper locally allow an option to see if it prevents the creation of profile, or if it breaks the password!
