You have a System Restore point set before the beginning of the sentence, then it might be interesting to try. If the system restore will not start or run successfully in Normal Mode, it can run in Mode safe. System Restore can also be run outside of the Windows via Recovery Options operating system.

Vista infected with the Vundo Virus, and you're screwed. Can anyone help?
Recently, my computer has been infected with the Vundo Virus, so I tried to remove it. Somehow, everything I tried just did worse and nothing does not. Finally, he said that my computer has an unauthorized change. I clicked on the link and tried to validate, and the BSOD popped up. Then when I loaded my computer again, I tried again and it says that it cannot validate. I had to go to safe mode with network to get on this page, and when I try to use the OneCare scanner, the page would not be responsible. I need help serious to this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.
PS My Windows Vista Home Basic is true because it is an OS disc that came with my Gateway ML3109.
Please answer, Logan
At this time the the most intelligent thing to do is to backup your data on an external support (such as an external hard drive) and restore your computer as long as the plant. The machine is still infected and all that you have done to try to solve this made things only worse. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

Hello
Here's what I use and recommend:
Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with everything I threw at them.
Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.
Prevx - Home - free
Windows Firewall
Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)
Protected IE - mode
IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)
I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(Sometimes you have to temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom right of IE)Avast - stop home - free - all shields you do no need except leave Standard, Web and network running.
(Double-click the blue icon - details look OK. - upper left Shields - those that you do not cancel).
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.htmlOr use Microsoft Security Essentials - free

Removed the Trojan: Win32 / FakeRean, now unable to use any program on computer
Yesterday we started getting pop ups have a virus and we had to get Vista antivirus 2010. Microsoft Security Essentials allows you to remove the Trojan virus and now we are unable to open any programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer. We have no idea how to fix this and was hoping someone might be able to help.
Hello
Just in case there are persistent pieces of malware here is the method of complete elimination.
.exe question difficulty in the next message.Try Mode safe mode with networking - repeatedly, press F8 that you start.
The best two methods allow scanners to run and/or AV.exe out of the way or removing.
1.
CTRL SHIFT ESC - task manager OR right click on the taskbar - task managerProcess tab - complete the process on AV. EXE and continue with the uninstall Guide.
If necessary use start - computer or Windows Explorer to navigate to
C:\Program Malwarebytes Anti - Malware\mbam.exe or where it is installed - if
necessary right click on the shortcut of Malwarebytes - Properties - tab - target line to see where it
is installed.Right-click on it and rename it to ZZMbam.COM (or something different than now) and
Double-click it, and then run it like this. You can rename it back later. Do the same with
other programs according to the needs. Use this method to others as needed - NOT assume all
a program deletes all or that it is no other malicious software.---------------------------------------------------
2.
Another method is to use them:Use Process Explorer to "Suspend" the process will not stop
Then use AutoRuns to delete the malicious program startup items.
Now use UnLocker to delete the files in the malware.
You may need to do a file at a time.
Process Explorer - free
