Recondition the battery?

I have a DV-6000 series with the original battery, extended factory. Needless to say that it has always remained in the machine even when it is plugged into AC for years and now it charges about 59%. Years ago, when using a Compaq tech people sent me to download some software that refurbished the old battery. Is there something that we can talk about it?

You can not really... to recondition the battery calibration is the only thing that can be done.

  • sudden loss of the battery?

I'm a X201T, two year old battery 8 cells. I had certainly noticed a deterioration of the battery life, up to about 2.5 hours of active work. But suddenly the battery won't charge at all and I am informed the State of the battery is low, time to replace. Interestingly, this occurred after that the machine has passed a couple of weeks off, not used at all.

Should it? I had assumed a gradual decline to zero, not a sudden death of the absolute. Would it be a problem in the Power Manager software, or something like?

Thanks for any help you can give me. Greg.

It is not unusual for one or more cells in a Li-ion battery to fail after a couple of years. The result is that the battery is completely dead or suddenly drops a large amount of reported load, for example going from 80% to 40% in a few seconds. This can happen if you leave the battery at 0% for an extended period of time.

One thing to try: go in Power Manager battery information tab and click on "Battery maintenance" to try to "Recondition" the battery. If this does not work the first time you can try once or twice more. No guarantee that it will work.

  • Does not not on the AC adapter / CC, but it will charge the battery

    Hi all

    Little annoying it...

The laptop can run on current alternative at all... but it will charge the battery while the laptop is turned off. If I remove the battery it will not work for flashing the bios seems to be a fruitless task.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Some of my reading on this forum suggest a motherboard failure, but I bought this laptop as a reconditioned/end of the line of PC World model and I'm not sure exactly of my rights with this.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Hello

Other people may be right. It looks like something wrong with the motherboard.
Eventually it s a power supply electronic problem. but that's just a guess

However, the solution is the same:
You need a hardware technician who would like to know what part exactly malfunctioned and he would replace
I think in your case it s a motherboard

The use of the battery has increased since the update to ios 10. Also, why can not disable the voice command. It's the most boring on the new update.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

I upgraded my Pro iPad to the latest iOS and I can't find the battery widget in the notifications, to let me know how much battery life, I have left in my pencil to apple. Where at - it go?

It is still where it always was, but it will appear only if a compatible device is actively involved at the time. So be sure that your pencil is actively involved and then swipe from left to right on the home screen to view the display of the widget. If it does not show, press "Edit" and make sure that this option is selected.

  • The battery: Cycle Count

I recently bought a new macbook pro 13 inch (my first macbook never) and decided to read a little about the life of the battery.

To my surprise, I realize that my cycle was 7!

(Note: I only bought the macbook for about 4 days and charged for 3 - 4 times)

And according to the sites, cycle counts only account all costs 100% (fresh short accumulation).

In addition, my battery life estimated at 05:10 hours at 92%, but jumped to 08:40 hours to 84%.

    Should I be worried?

I read that you can actually leave your macbook to charge overnight, but do you do with the power supply on or off?

What is the best way to charge your macbook?

If you are not satisfied with this experience, please return it and get another.

You can return a Mac within 14 days of the purchase.

  • "No cell coverage" not listed in the use of the battery

During the audit of the use of the battery parameters, on an iPad 2 Air, WiFi and cellular, upgrade 10.0.2, 'No cell coverage' is listed and uses a lot of battery percentage. This never happened since the purchase of the iPad two years ago. I've recently updated to iOS 10.0.2 and T-Mobile as the cellular carrier. This occurs when the two Wi - Fi AND cellular data are turned off. I barely use the cell service as it is, first of all just use wifi, and I never leave the cellular data connection on when you do not. I noticed a few days ago a T-Mobile "Carrier Update" has been pushed to the iPad. Someone else with the same situation?

Hi there, stumped127! Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

Use of your iPad 2 Air indicates that it is looking for service even if you have data Wi - Fi and cell phone turned off after update to iOS 10.0.2. Given that mobile data is off, it shouldn't have an impact on the battery and I will be happy to help you with this. Be sure to test after each numbered step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch --before troubleshooting a device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It is preferable "to have" one to the 'need' to a backup.

    1. forcing a nearby app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - first, quit all running applications, and then restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. reset the iPad settings - do not forget to write your networks, Wi-Fi/passwords before you start. On your iPad, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This step returns your iPad to factory default settings. Test and if that solves the problem, use your backup to restore your settings.

    Take care!

  • External display on HDMI overheating my Mac and drains the battery badly

    Hey guys.

I am using a MBP retina 2012 15 inches with an external monitor, a generic LCD 1080 p via HDMI without problems. And recently updated for Sierra.

The question starts immediately when I plug it into the screen. The Macbook seems to overheat and run fans above 4000 rpm, which is very audible and boring. CPU and GPU temperatures go above 70 degrees C (normally they make 50 +). The battery holds for only 1.5 hours, generally works well for 4-5 hours.
I tried killing all apps, followed a bad process in activity monitor, changing default resolution - nothing helps so far. The CPU is barely used by 10%, the memory pressure is fine.
It's just that time when I plug the screen - Mac starts bad feeling. Never, the problem occurred on El Capitan. Maybe it's a GPU problem, but certainly caused by the OS.
All the world had the same problem?

Try resetting the NVRAM (hold down the command-option-P-R on startup).

Also, try to restart in Mode without failure, then normally again.

Finally, try logging into your account, sign in to a user account (or the guest account) and connect the external display. Same problem? If it works fine for a new account then it's something in your own account which is the cause - perhaps an element of connection or some other system changes induced by the operating system previous and who does not play nice with Sierra.

  • keyboard Bluetooth iPad Air drains the battery

I have an Ipad Air and when I connected it to a bluetooth keyboard, the battery very quickly becomes empty and even is he is plugged in and the charge of the day to the next, it does not load.  The use of the battery is the home screen containing all resources. The minute I turned off the keyboard or disconnect it from the iPad, the use of the battery is normal.

It is a new show, I never used to have this problem and I don't have this problem with my other iPad.  Anyone know why it is and know what to do to fix?

Hello. You could try to forget the keyboard in settings > Bluetooth, then he pairing. Looks like it may not be connected entirely and causing a lot of additional radio traffic.

  • Subject of the battery in the new update

    Hello everyone

I want to ask about the battery in the new update

I now have the update on my phone 6s but I noticed that the battery run off more quickly than in the previous update

I used the phone every day and the battery last about 5 h 30 but now last 4 hours

I hope you can me hel

    Thank you

Yes there is a problem with ios 10 and 6 s iphone, apparently the 6s more users do not have this problem on the contrary the last update was better for them, battery last more I read.

What can I tell you? I'm pretty bored too, in fact I intend now perform a downgrade of ios 9.3.5. I don't know if he is going to end well if...

But definitely ios 10.0.1 does not apply to me with all these battery problems, whenever I have action now feels as if it was a 1% less than the battery well enough.

I also read that 10.1 unveiled today that a new beta has been for developers, problems, this is the test As just started, we can expect minimum 2 more weeks for those who think to emerge officially much too long.
