  Hi people - looking for clues of what I need to record from an old tape of the bridge to the laptop. Using 3.5 mm male to male plugged in the combo Harbour, but sound does not appear in the recording software. The turntable to cassette has a unique 3.5 mm output auxiliary port.   Thanks for sharing files. In the "OutpassageEbookTextcontent.indd" document, instead of an em dash, two quadratins are used and it is probably the reason why you see in the EPUB.   I had the same problem with my Satellite Pro A100 - basically whenever the fan kicks inside or outside, there was a glitch in the audio that pretty much unusable laptop for music.

  At the end of the day, I followed the advice of Nelucard and changed to MPS Multiprocessor PC ACPI processor/computer on Device Manager driver. I then had to reinstall most of my drivers, but once this is done, the fan has been all the time, so there are no glitches more - at least not once the laptop has heated up to... at the beginning, the fan still comes in and out, but after 3-4 minutes, that's all the time. I can live with that.

  It's far from ideal, but in my case it worked and I can now use Reaper, audio streaming and use a load of plug-ins with no problems. I hope Toshiba will come back with a better solution via a BIOS update in the future, but I think that this problem has been known for 7-8 months and nothing has been done so far...

  In any case, good luck and I hope this is of some use.
