  • Recovering data after you accidentally delete files

I have compressed files and files have been compressed.  Then I moved all the files compressed and created a Briefcase.  I then moved the Briefcase to the taskbar at the bottom of my screen.  Then I removed the towel that was on my desk.  I then tried to open the case of the bar of tasks and could not open the Briefcase.  I tried to restore the original portfolio thinking it was them recylcling bin and it wasn't there.  All shows are now shortcuts to all of my files, but I can't find or access files.  Yet the files are somewhere on my computer as memory has not changed.  I followed all the instructions on recovering the files and files and all I get are shortened and information who are unable to find the files.

Then, it seems as if they were written on... Sorry, you're out of luck.

  • I have mozilla firefox, I got it in the programs I accidently deleted it how do I put back in there

I have mozilla firefox in my programs, I accidentally deleted it how I set in the program?

    Hi RUBYFRUIT,.

Did you delete Mozilla Firefox in the Menu start "all programs"?

When a program is installed, the default installation location is "C:\Program Files\ (Program Name)". Where 'C' is the operating system drive. So, you can check the following site for Mozilla Firefox: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\". When you find the executable file, you can "PIN to Start Menu". To do this, see the following steps:

    (a) go to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\" (where 'C' is the drive of the operating system).

    (b) with the right button on the file used to set Mozilla Firefox and click "display in the Start Menu.

    (c) click the Start button and you will see "Mozilla Firefox" listed.

Also, see the steps in the section "to pin the icon for a program to the start menu" for more information.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if the problem persists, we will be happy to help you.

  • Can I recover a program I deleted accidentally Control Panel?

I accidentally deleted a program from the control panel I want to hit the button change. The worst is that I don't know the name of the program, but it was a program in the list of programs beginning with an 'I '.  Well, everything seems to work on my computer now, so I can't imagine what was the program. Sorry, that's all the information I have - the program title was in the section of the programs that start with an "I".

Thanks a lot to make me look like an idiot! I know there are millions of programs that start with the letter 'I', however, I thought you'd be able to give me a list of some common programs that are generally installed on computers running Microsoft! I prefer to use IE as my web browser, however, after this 'chip-axx"response, I now forget IE and use Mozilla Firefox only.

I have XP and Windows 7. The only program I have in Add/Remove programs on both machines is ieSpell, the spelling of add-on for Internet Explorer that I installed. Thus, it is unlikely that it is a MS program that you deleted.

Really, no one could even have a wild guess as to what program you removed. If everything works, I don't worry about this.

Depending on what the program was, and how recent you deleted, restore the system could add it. I saw it for myself, but it does not always work.

  • I accidentally deleted my sound program, how can I get it back

I was going to delete a program in the control panel that I didn't need, but accidentally deleted that bad now, I have no sound system or headphones

    Either:

    * install the audio drivers CD/DVD media supplied with your machine (or support for that partition)

    or (and this is better):

    * Go to the manufacturer's Web site, find the support page for your unit and download the latest audio drivers from there and then install them.

    See you soon,.
